On why Malaysia is less popular among young backpackers compared to Phuket / Thailand; For few reasons, one of it is due to the lack of nightlife scene, alcohol is heavily taxed and thus expensive, operating hours of nightclubs are strictly enforced, prostitution and sex trades are illegal (same goes to drug / weed). And these are what most young backpackers looking for. However, among family travelers and vacationers, expat and retirees, medical tourists and young Japanese looking for stress-free environment, Malaysia is their no 1 destinations / second home.

# 5 Malaysia is so clean because the penalty for gum on the sidewalk, trash on the roads, I bet there is no graffiti on walls. I wish Seattle would get tough on this kind of stuff. Gives the town a totally trashy look.
It’s very very clean. In fact along the entire highways they have people constantly hired to mow the grass and clip the hedges … always look immaculate
Villages above water can be dirty as there is no waste management especially in borneo island where some areas housed refugees or sea gypsies. As a local, I give a 7 out of 10.
Malaysia promotes mural arts. Tipping is not a culture in Malaysia, please don't ruin that. Just pay RM 50 for fuel, you may claim the balance from the cashier if u're not using the whole deposit. Foreign visitors have to pay at full price. Normally discount given to senior local/foreign visitors, citizens, legal immigrant workers, permanent residents, disables & local/foreign students from local institutes. Usually for places which involve government such as financial, lands acquired, special permit, etc. By feeding monkeys, you lure them out of their natural habitat into the cities. This directly increases their chances of becoming victims of roadkill by speeding vehicles on roads and highways. Injured monkeys are banished from their troops and most of the times, do not receive proper medical care.
@14:00 Nah mate... your single bad experience on the petrol pump does not represent all petrol pumps.. come on mate. It's just a fluke. Filling up petrol is easy if you know how much you want. If you need RM50 worth of petrol just go pay 50 at the counter and tell them or simply point your car to them so that they know which pump you're at. It's a little bit tricky if you wanna put in full tank because they don't know how much to key in the exact amount. So, they will take a deposit. But... pay by card is much simpler if you have a credit card. Just pay at the pump. Well.. you'll learn.. no doubt.

That big monkey that's looks like a baboon we local call it "beruk" quite aggressive better keep a distance 👌 that snake(cobra) symbol on the old plane is a Malaysian squadron air force symbol
I know that it does not annoy you, but I would end up getting very annoyed and frustrated having to pay double everywhere because I am a foreigner. I know there are reasons for it, but it just does not sit right with me. I am with you on hotel rooms it's a place to drop your head for the night so why pay for the facilities at expensive hotels that you are not going to use anyway.
It’s only annoying when it’s super expensive, but yeah I find it odd because I have been to over 20 countries now and no one has ever done that in an “official” way … we also have to pay more for hotel rooms too. But Malaysia is super affordable so it doesn’t mean much to me
# 7 last comment - i can't get over the fact that I am here = you there and I make a comment and before I finish your video I have a reply - Days and hours apart.
u’re officially a malaysian when u tuned in to a local radio channel.. 🤣🤣🤣 fyi early this yr.. a local motorcyclist was fined for having ‘the world’s smallest plate number’… smaller than ur fingernail… 🤣🤣🤣.. charging extra for tourist is common in this part of the world… at least the price is stated clearly for visitors.. even if u go to universal studios in singapore… as a non citizen.. u hv to pay slightly more than local singaporeans n pr… it’s only $3 singapore dollar…. still reasonable to me…
Let's go to Indonesia Brother, but don't go to Bali. It's beautiful but very expensive. I recommend going to Jogja in the Java area because it is also good but cheap, highly recommended or also to the island of Kalimantan.
Haha, if you wanna claim you're a citizen, at least drop a bit of Malay language on them. 🤭 And hey, why not pick up some Malay greetings or thanks, it'll score you extra points with Malaysians, for sure.
@@FarhiRosleysembunyi haha I had like 6 people unsubscribe saying I lied about being a citizen … Some people don’t understand satire and sarcasm, unfortunately, so I guess I have to simplify things LOL
In Canada you always have to pay prior to filling your tank. Back in the 90s you were allowed to fill them pay but since I've been a car owner it's always pay first. If you pay cash and pay $100 but the tank takes $80 you go back with the receipt and get the change. If you're paying card you put $100 but it takes $80 then the leftovers automatically get refunded to your card. Lol it's insane to me that places don't do this system because it's all I know. ( I'm 32)

That big monkey that's looks like a baboon we local call it "beruk" quite aggressive better keep a distance 👌 that snake(cobra) symbol on the old plane is a Malaysian squadron air force symbol
lol I was going to get out and try make friends with him, glad I didn’t
@@marcoroams I glad u didn't 😅 its the most aggressive monkey species here..looks like a baboon, also aggressive like baboon
They smell bananas in your car.
😂 they are very smart
@@marcoroams I understand there are no monkeys in australia.
But Malaysia is super affordable so it doesn’t mean much to me
@@marcoroams I found that out when I went to Malaysia....foreigner tax on hotel rooms...lol
Yup!! They love it 😂
# 7 last comment - i can't get over the fact that I am here = you there and I make a comment and before I finish your video I have a reply - Days and hours apart.

Nah I only joke! I am a citizen of earth 🌍
u’re officially a malaysian when u tuned in to a local radio channel.. 🤣🤣🤣 fyi early this yr.. a local motorcyclist was fined for having ‘the world’s smallest plate number’… smaller than ur fingernail… 🤣🤣🤣.. charging extra for tourist is common in this part of the world… at least the price is stated clearly for visitors.. even if u go to universal studios in singapore… as a non citizen.. u hv to pay slightly more than local singaporeans n pr… it’s only $3 singapore dollar…. still reasonable to me…
Hahaha that motorcyclist is a crack up 😂
Yeah I was loving the Malaysian music!
@@marcoroams yeah.. other than illegal racing.. driving local authorities up the wall is one of their many ‘hobbies’.. 🤣🤣🤣
Let's go to Indonesia Brother, but don't go to Bali. It's beautiful but very expensive. I recommend going to Jogja in the Java area because it is also good but cheap, highly recommended or also to the island of Kalimantan.
6 Indonesian videos start it 2 weeks my friend 😁 🇮🇩
Medan, Jakarta and Bali
@@marcoroams oh great I can't wait to see it brother 😆
@@jendraltamsis3548 I didn’t vlog the party side of Bali, I went into the Forest and up the mountains and hung out with the locals
@@marcoroams aha yeah party is privacy, but u can uploud your the journey

Haha, if you wanna claim you're a citizen, at least drop a bit of Malay language on them. 🤭 And hey, why not pick up some Malay greetings or thanks, it'll score you extra points with Malaysians, for sure.
😁😁😁
@@marcoroams Yooo, why do you change the thumbnail? I love that cheeky monkey smile. 😂
Too much abuse from people saying the last one was click bait lol
@@marcoroams Sheesh, ppl should take some chill pills. 🤪
@@FarhiRosleysembunyi haha I had like 6 people unsubscribe saying I lied about being a citizen …
Some people don’t understand satire and sarcasm, unfortunately, so I guess I have to simplify things LOL
