Hey dear, I'm using the Shiseido perm too yaay! I've been doing the Japanese Straight Perm for 10+ years now, so I thought I'd throw in my two cents: - I find it easier to apply the perm to smaller sections. It will also help in making sure every strand is coated evenly and will process properly -Make sure you use enough product as to avoid underprocessing - I leave in the treatment for about 30mins (no plastic wrap, no heat) - It's important to use a flat iron. Remember, another name for this treatment is "thermal reconditioning". You will get the best results if you straighten the hair in small sections - Again, make sure to use enough of the neutraliser so that everything is coated evenly - I like to use a conditioner that's not too heavy, as freshly permed, pin straight hair easily gets weighed down by "heavy" products (at least mine lol) - After blow drying, don't forget to straighten the hair with a flat iron again, cause - you already know: thermal reconditioning -Moisturize your hair, especially the ends Done ✅ I will say tho, as I have 4c hair, my hair will not stay pin straight if it touches even the tiniest bit of water. As I don't like the poofy look on me, I let it air dry after washing and use a straightener. Hope this helped someone 🧡
How poofy does your hair get after getting wet? Im getting this done in a few days but the biggest reason i want to get it is so i dont have to deal with the poofyness. If it still gets poofy i might as well get a relaxer
@@dreamsnblu prepare for a longer answer, cause it depends on how wet it gets and how long it's been since my last treatment. Light rain or a workout usually only affects the roots. They don't revert back completely, but I can def. see a difference in texture. In a humid climate or under heavy rain my hair will either get kinky at the roots only (when recently permed) or all over, think yaki texture wig. And if I wash it, it gets so poofy I can barely wear a beanie over it, except in the first weeks after perming, there it's more like loose waves. If you have a looser curl pattern than me, it might not get as poofy. I've heard many ppl say for them it stays straight after getting wet. I chose this method cause my hair is silkier and straighter than it used to be with a relaxer. Hope this helps in your decision and potentially saving some money lol
So I used that brand to do my hair but used strongest version. I also did not leave it in long enough and re-did it the next day. Here is a summary of tips: 1.) section hair to put product in 2.) don’t worry about getting on scalp ...you need to get roots 4.) put Saran Wrap around hair & blow dry or sit under heater. It won’t say this on instructions but you need to do this if you have 4c hair 5.) hair should be completely straight after heating under dryer or blow dry 6.) have shampoo brush and wide-tooth comb in shower. Only rinse product out with warm water. Use shampoo brush to brush hair under water then use side tooth comb under water. This is best way to avoid tangle and hair pulling out 7.) blow dry using wide tooth comb as well 8.) they have heating wands with guards on them. Those straighten hair like flat iron. Use highest heat and do section 9.) put neutralizer in flat ironed hair and rinse out. You can blow dry or hear comb again if you want. 10.) don’t put water in for 48 hours ....maintaining is another story but I think this is best place to start
How do you combat the frizz? What do you put on your hair to stop it from being frizzy? For example, I bought the liscio brand and I did a test patch in the back of my head and it was like I lay down to go to sleep and you know how it is when you flat iron your hair and and you sweat and then it gets frizzy. well that’s what happened and I woke up and flat ironed it but then it happened again and it got frizzy so I don’t know how to stop it from being frizzy. What do you put on it so it stays straight and the frizz doesn’t happen.
@@ObenewaaQuache you are going to severely damage your hair retouching so close. Your hair was not process well either times. Perhaps you can find someone that has done your textured hair before.

@@A_Gu Thanks for replying!
@†Leviathan† What kind of flat iron do you use? The material. Ceramic, titanium etc...
Your skin is very clear.
Really??? I’m on a clear skin journey everyday….

Oh ok...I felt that because I had previously straightened it, the stronger one will melt my hair 😂
I guess I have to wait it out

Wow seeing something new, thanks for sharing dear ❤
Did you deep condition right after the perm? 😭 girl make sure you’re following the directions exactly
Yeah....😅😅
I don’t think you let the product sit long enough. A trim would also help the hair in terms of health. I plan on doing my own hair soon too 🤞🏾
Hahaha... I followed the instruction on the label😅....
@@ObenewaaQuache you also didn't section hair to focus on roots when using hot comb. That was the whole point of straightening your roots.
How long did you leave in for? Thanks
Hiii Tea, Can you timestamp the part of the video you’re talking about?
I would recommend not to touch up less than 4 months but perhaps your hair grows faster than 1/2-1 inch a month?
A touch up is normally recommended after 4 months or more.
But my roots were overgrown. It was difficult to comb😂😅

Girl u we’re supposed to wash ur hair first
That is scary 😨 that you put heat with the hot comb! on freshly permed hair. I'd be to scared but your hair looks really shiny and cute!
Yeah... I wanted my hair to lay flat😂
However, I don't use it at all now... I only blow dry
This isn’t a perm (relaxer) it’s thermal reconditioning. Flat-ironing is required for it to set properly.
