  • The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition is the world's largest open-submission exhibition, displaying more than 1,000 works in all styles and media, including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, architectural models and film. The works are selected by a panel of celebrated artists and architects, and it is their task to narrow down more than 10,000 entries to those that go before the public.

Oh my, it must be totally EXHAUSTING - well done them! I've never been to the RA, I'd like to but I'd get too tired, sad. But was she the only woman there that day? I was a bit surprised to see so many men (and mostly dressed in greys!) and (as far as I could see) only her, one woman - am I wrong and does it matter?

What a ridiculous process. And they will recognise their mates’ work that’s for sure.
