sovereign grace is the only thing that makes sense. Truth speller and destroying the works of the devil are great channels explaining whats up

I certainly agree that God sovereignly saves. I will look up those channels. Thanks

as soon as you say God didnt make sin, you are saying it came about by accident and God doesnt make mistakes or else he isnt sovereign so we need to choose a side on that topic haha!! people speak with a forked tongue all the time on that issue. Proverbs 16:4, God has created all things even the wicked for the day of evil. He made satan. he programmed the devil to become evil because thats his will.
    Proverbs 16:4
4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
    Isaiah 43:10
10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen:that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
    Isaiah 46:9-10
9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
    Jeremiah 1:5
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
    Ephesians 1:4-5
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
    Romans 8:28-30
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
    Corinthians 3:6-9
    King James Version
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
    John 6:44-
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me
draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
    John 15:16
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit,
and that your fruit should remain: that
whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
    Acts 13:48
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
    1 Peter 1:2
2 The Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
    Galatians 1:15
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
    Ephesians 1:11-12
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
    Matthew 22:14
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
    Colossians 3:12
    12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
    Revelation 13:8
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
    Jeremiah 1:5
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
    Romans 8:33
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

God decreed evil but in such a way that He didn't force mankind to fall. God isn't the author of evil. I take the Bible as well as the confessions in their totality. If you'd like to discuss this further then we can.

Jeremiah 19:9 And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.
If that’s not causing sin, I don’t know what is.

God steered their evil toward a specific sin. He even decreed that sin and gave them over to their sin causing it in that sense. However, God does not CREATE evil and He doesn’t force man to be evil. To say otherwise shows an absolute failure to understand historical Reformed theology and the Scriptures. If you care to debate on it, we can run it any time. God is not the author of sin. The confessions specifically say it. To assert otherwise is to jump into the heresy of hyper Calvinism

@@TwitchyTheologian God literally said he creates evil.

@@aletheia8054 Right, but I am sure that you are aware that in the context, that refers to natural evil not moral or ontological evil. That is why most translations say calamity. Furthermore, in 1 John it says God is light and James says that God tempts no man. I take those verses seriously as well. My position is nuanced but I don't make God the Author of evil as you seem to be doing. I am actually Reformed (Confessional) aren't you? If so, then you can't hold to what you are saying.
