Very disappointed STILL D.R.E was not playing throughout this test drive.
I had one exactly like this except mine had the factory tach option. I was stupid for ever getting rid of it. Mine also had a 267 v8. It also had a factory trash bin in the floorboard of the passenger side kick panel. It also had a factory power moon roof. Delay wipers, cruise it was loaded. Getting rid of it I regret everyday
This Monte blew me away when i watched your video the first time, its in really good shape. Had to watch a scond time just to try to find fault... i couldnt. These cars along with the nova, both had the 305 in them. They were not real popular in the day, not sure why, but the people I knew that had these had them for a LONG time like 200K-300K miles on the motor long time. This is a daily driver, economical and has the power when you need it. This is a very reliable car for whoever gets it. Take care of it and it will take care of you. Love it!
I know the 305 is not the most popular but I have had a few with this motor and they have had good power and been good on gas I have a 98 Chevy Silverado full-size reg cab long bed with 67,000 miles and 4wd and it has the 305 and it's a great all around truck I have a trailer brake box inside the truck and I can pretty much pull and stop most any thing I have with it and it still gets good gas mileage with power when you need it I have a kubto tractor with a front end loader and a 18 foot trailer and a box scaper for the tractor and a zero turn mower I have pulled up to some property I bought and was doing cleaning up and the 305 got everything I needed to get done but to make along story short the 305 motor is a great motor

They only made 2 years of this body style.. Its a nice look with some possiblies there.. I think it has a killer front end .. At a 45 degree look from the front this car looks like its going 100 mph standing still. It has good lines that flow thru out the car. And again.. I like how they tell ya about the car. And tell you all the negatives along with the positves on each car. So they are trying to help you .. Instead of pressuring ya .. Thats says it all to me . these years all have plastic bumper covers or skins.. With a metal bumper under neather. When looking at these cars always check behind the rear tire to the rear bumper.. Thats where these cars rust out. But being its from the south . no need to worry too much
Brad Quall actually it was three years, 78-80. 1980 went to quad lights and larger grille crate pattern. They really are under appreciated.
The metal flake aftermarket steering wheel really ads to the mint interior, thats got to be original miles, nice car !

A Monty with straight quarters? I assumed they came factory bent until today. Nice personal luxury car in the day. Retro sells! Classic is better in so many ways. Still it’s the personal connection, nostalgia that makes retro a hot community. Sounds proper. Paint original color? Something seems different. It’s not the wheels either. That’s a 80’s SS paint scheme 4 sure but I don’t recall its application on this mold. No one has seen it all I suppose. Still it’s a very nice proper representation of the late 70’s early 80’s Americana . Great days in my life. Thank You for the memories your posts bring to me. Happy Thanksgiving 🍁 maple motors, 🙏
