    Hi Nick this is Dana the bus driver, it was good to meet you and your mother so glad the two of you enjoyed the hike, on your return you inspired me me to redo the hike I made it back up there a couple days after you made the hike. Yes it is truly one of those Hidden Gem Hikes, thanks for sharing..

      @danalutz3945 Hey Dana! Thanks for commenting! This was a great little hike and we both enjoyed it a lot. I'd say it was one of our most enjoyable adventures of the year. What a great spot! Thanks you again for suggesting it. 😀

    Really beautiful! I like the random hikes that no one ever shows, they alawys have great views, but you can never go wrong with RMNP or any other area in Colorado they all seem to have a great view!

    Wow, that was a nice one, and the video came out beautifully showing the "pre" fall coloring. Such a beautiful day to explore the ptarmigan tarns at the base of beautiful Notchtop Mountain! Fun times for sure, and one of my favorites this season! ❤

    That's a nice find Nick! Thanks to Dana for the suggestion. Sometimes it is better to take the bus. I've added this one to my todo list.

    Awesome Hike. Here's a fun fact..When I first moved out here. And heard the name "ptarmigan" my Italian ass pronounced it as Parmesan. Lol😂

      That's priceless! So Parmesan Tarns it is! Nick's ass is only half Italian, so he didn't think of that! 😂

      @dailblake3102 Hey Dail! It was awesome to meet you! I am really excited about the Embryo video. I think it came out really good. I had to shuffle the order of the vids a tiny bit but Embryo will be out on Oct 21. I can't wait. Hopefully I will run into you again next year.

    This is a fun end of winter hike. Then you can slide down at the end, back to lake Helene. It was also a marmot filled area when we were there. Another hike the Y offers during the year.
    Have you done twin sisters in wild basin? A fun hike with some lovely views.

    • @nicksangetta8874

      @susannal1314 I have done Twin Sisters Peaks a bunch of times and I have been to Twin Lakes in Wild Basin. If there is another feature called Twin Sisters I am not aware of it.

      @@nicksangetta8874 it’s the only one I know of in the area, off trail hike from Lion/Thunder trail.

    So that's what those are called, neat! I saw them on the map and hiked to them a couple years ago and had no clue of the names. Great views, and I really liked the panoramic view on the way down looking over Helene/Odessa/etc.

    • @nicksangetta8874
      @nicksangetta8874  Месяц назад +1

      @patrickthai9095 The views looking back to Odessa and Helene were the best! That is incredible spot up there. I think those are unofficial names and I was a little surprised they weren't in Lisa Foster's book. But it makes sense, they are tarns under Ptarmigan Point and Ptarmigan Pass.. so the Ptarmigan Tarns they are! Plus the RMNP bus driver said it so it's gotta be legit. 😄
