Thank you so much Laura! Yes us too! Praise the Lord it wasn’t as bad here as it was in the park but the park took a rough hit. Thankfully the National Park Service is helping to get everything back ready to go!
Sorry to see that. There is no natural weather anymore. Has been a long time since I was at Cades Cove. I took a picture of myself standing inside a huge gum. I think it was in the loft of a barn. I probably wasn't supposed to be up there, but . . .
Pretty nasty Gracie, not uncommon here us being an island and pretty much exposed to what ever rolls in from the Pacific Ocean 🙁. It can be heart breaking to see beautiful mature trees just toppled like match sticks as in your Parks dept photos. On my farm quite regularly I’d have pine trees snapped off half way up from the bottom caused by their whipping back and forth in high but gusty winds.
I’m sorry to learn about all the wind damage! Quite a lot of trees came down. I hope the animals are all ok. Thanks for telling us Gracie!
Glad you are safe and well. Thank you for sharing!

We're glad nobody was hurt. We will be at Cades Cove Campground in a few weeks. Thanks for sharing.
Good that no one was injured Gracie
These extreme weather events are getting more common. We’ve had a lot of flooding over here.
Nice repair and cleaning park

All I can say is, "wow!"
They got “hammered” as we say down here. Thankfully the park was awesome on getting the park back reopened!
Thank y’all so much!
