Megaman 8 is the most underrated game of the franchise, It was an ambitious project, with anime-style scenes, a graphic leap in my opinion, good, very good music (I like almost all of their tracks).
You actually mirror my exact thoughts from a video I did on MM8 a looooooooooooooong time ago. Glad to see someone else also sees the hidden potential this game has :D
@@Potatoman483 I think x4 and 8 are really similair in that their perfectly encapsulated vibes of both the classic and the X series. 8 to me tho has the best soundtrack across all of the different games, close 2nd is x6 followed by x4 and then zx and x2 and x1.
this theme, it makes me kinda imagine, us the fans telling megman, "hey look back rock" and he looks back at the 10 years that flew by, with all the games, and battles, challenges, and victories, and we just tell em " take a break man you deserve it, and Thank you" as he sees we too have grown since then, and it shows a montage of each game as we cheered him on, and guided him to victory, as he puts his helmet down, and walks into the sunset, as we await his return one day, which brings a bookend and a long break (till megaman 9) of his original run that began in 1987. Thank you for reading!
I don't remember what grade I was in, but I didn't beat it until I revisited it in my early twenties lol. Beat it in a day and finally earned this banger
Bruh, why isn't anyone else talking about this song?! Like this is the most relaxing song I have ever heard within Mega Man 8's soundtrack along with Frost Man's and Aqua Man's theme.

Damn, wish I had born earlier. I am just a 1997 kid out there reminiscing my childhood. Although I have never played this exact part 8 of Megaman, I have played the original, 2nd and 3rd on my good old Nintendo Emulator System back in 2005-2008 till I turned 12 years old. Them somehow.. my console broke (accidentally spilled coffee on it, for me as a child it was painful.. it took whole 2 weeks till I recovered and moved on, at that time I didn't know about the possibility that you can download a NES emulator plugin and the required ROMS (respectively, for those games you want to play) and you can play them on your pc! I instantly felt so happy. It was 2012. I downloaded jNES on my pc, megamans' ROMS and started blasting on those games! Teardrops were finally away forever! Of course, now I am an adult and I do have serious duties in my life (like most of us) However, though, that feel remains in the heart and from time to time, I love getting back to my emulator and play those ROM- downloaded games :) In addition to that, also scavenge through YT for some amazing soundtracks, including yours of Megaman 8. Bumped on this accidentally and I have to say, one of the best accidents ever. Thanks for uploading! From Latvia!
I'm 10 years your senior and I highly recommend you play through Megaman 8 my friend. The whole ost is great and after you play it you can reference the infamous "JUMP JUMP, SLIDE SLIDE." :)
...I can't help but feel amused reading this. Considering the fact that I'm in the middle of making a video praising Mega Man 8 and talking about how underrated it is. I just finished writing the script and I'm recording gameplay as we speak. It should probably be up in about...I want to say a week.
Yeah, Megaman 11 Kinda forgot something.... THE CHARACTERS!! Where was Protoman and Bass? One could say that Protoman's core finally did him in but that still leaves Bass and possibly Zero in question. 9, 10, and 11 felt way more like resets rather than advancements.
Well most people would probably say 8 lacks any meaningful level design that was shown throughout the classic series. The levels feel really stale and make a crappy attempt to have it play like Gladius in some of the sections in the game, and all of the weapons do the same damage, so they’re all completely pointless except for the flash bomb which deals continuous damage and the Astro crush which is basically a screen nuke. I’m not saying 8 is completely terrible, it’s got a lot of charm due to its art style and animation, but all of that gets overshadowed by how bland and basic the game is.
Megaman 2 was reduced to metal blade entirely, it’s pretty common one ability triumphs the rest. In x1 tornado etc. I also thing the level design in 8 is super memorable. The shoot em up set pieces were well done and cute.
I actually heard this long before I finished the game. For whatever reason I would put game discs in the cd player to see if they would play. And sure enough this played. It was cool being a kid in the 90's. How time flies. Thank you for uploading this.
Sweet music to my ears my friend. And you bet I'm preordaining the mess out of that game. Gunvolt has served me well to quell my hunger for a solid Megaman title, but now it is high time we finally get the real deal.
To me this song reminds of those times me and my brother played a lot of Sega Saturn back in the days and we had the best version of mega man 8 on the Saturn man Saturn memories
Beautiful, yet somehow sad.. It's like a farewell theme. If Capcom stopped at 8, this theme would have been a fitting track to end the Classic games. Also, it kinda reminds me of MegaMan Battle Network 3's credits theme.
I beat the game and recorded this on my blank VHS tape on my VSR so I could listen to it whenever I wanted. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll grab my walker and see myself out...
They went off on this shit. I remember playing this shit and this ending really had me zoned out. You could play this on ps2 and I would play this shit all-day
Personally I liked Megaman 8, while it’s not my favorite in the series by a long shot I can still appreciate the game for what is. Yeah the game is very easy in my opinion and some of the stages can be a bit too gimmicky for its own good, but I like how this game plays, it’s soundtrack, the stages and believe it or not the laughably bad VA in the anime cutscenes. While it’s not my favorite I still do come back to this one from time to time and still have a fun with it.
This is the one of the two Mega Man of the Classic series that I e second didn't like at all (the second one is Mega Man and Bass), and I even like the first Mega Man, so... Anyway, I must say that the full OST of Mega Man 8 and Mega Man and Bass isn't the best, but it's a solid soundtrack, with tracks that just rocks, and that's the best point of this game in my opinion.
I can understand why most people don't like this entry since it does a good number of things differently. (Like no E-Tanks, somewhat slower, the wonderful voice acting lmao) I actually plan on doing an entire video as to why I find this game to be a magnificent gem otherwise. But it won't be posted on this channel. It will be on another specifically designed for that. I ain't defending Mega Man and Bass though.

90s chill music man. I love it, wish I was a 90s kid, maybe I was in the last life.

I 100% agree. I was honestly shocked that there wasn't an extension of this song, so I said "Lemme fix that."

Megaman has the better music,

2. Sonic
3. Mario
