- A look at my Glock 19 Gen 4. This is my favorite handgun I own. I've shot all types of ammo through it and have never had a problem. Shoots great! I think it's the perfect size, not too big, not too small. This is a great option if someone is looking to buy their first handgun or if you've been thinking about getting one ... do it! I'm sold. Thanks for sharing... I rented one a few weeks ago at new range pretty close and just loved it. We also rented and shot the 26 but I liked the 19 way better and 2 kids and wife all agreed the 19 rocks...

Thanks for your video, it was really informative. I am finally getting my EDC and it will be a Glock 19 FDE w/talon grips. This will be my first Glock and my wife is looking at getting the Glock 43. I'm actually looking forward at getting some accessories, but I am probably going to leave the trigger alone.

I've owned glock 17,22,26,27 and a 43..i just brought my first LNIB gen4 g19 fde and by far it's the best feeling one..its perfect in my hands and the fde on black color is just beautiful..its own HKs,sigs and a slew of other hand guns But I can just tell this g19 is going to be my favorite..
Right now I have the 19,27,35,42, and 43. I really enjoy having each one for different reasons! I've been debating on picking up a 26 next.

I love my Gen 4 19. I did change the sights and the trigger which made a huge difference. Great gun and very accurate for a defense weapon.

I love my Gen 5 19 but I want a Gen 4, I think the finger grooves makes it look better and give it character

I'm glad to hear you say that you like the Glock factory sights. I do too. They're perfect, IMO.
Sure, they are plastic but I have owned my Glock 21 for 20+ years and my Glock 17 for 9+ years and the plastic factory sights look and work as well as the day I bought my Glocks. Do they glow in the dark? No, they don't but I have Streamlight TLR-3 tact lights attached to my Glocks so I don't need night sights.
I much prefer a tact light over night sights. Plus, I can't shoot what I can't see. What good are night sights if you can't see your target? Get a good tact light and you'll be fine.

My first Glock was a 21.. It's still my favorite gun so far, I did however just get a 17, and it's growing on me... Won't replace the 21 but Glock is for sure the way to go.
***** is the accuracy better with the 21? I know some guys that swear by the 45 cal Glocks.
Michael StJohn At 15+ yards I can shoot the center out of a target with ease. I own a number of guns, and I'm fairly accurate with em all, but I will say for some reason I tend to shoot even more impressively with my Glock 21.

I've got the Gen 3's love em, they fit my hands perfectly. The 4's are quite nice too though.
I was looking for SP2022, but I love this Glock's look.
+Dante Oops Get the Glock first. The SP2022 is ok but the Glock is much easier to shoot and fits the hand much better. I have both so I speak from a little experience.

Never liked the 19. I have the 17 and 21sf . But.... Once the SEALS adopted it well then I had a change of ♥. I got a gen 3 coming brand new 445.00 shipped.

Very nice your Glock-19/9mm FDE. Very hard to find these days. Due to so many people buying firearms the last few months. A few Glocks, including the 19, have been made locally in the state of Georgia to some extent. Even though the majority of Glock auto-pistols are still made in Austria.
I guess I'm lucky. I walked into my shop and the guy had a whole section of FDE Glocks in the case. Edit: Didn't realize this was 10 months old lol
is the gun comfortable because the back of your hands kinda don't stay on the gun
Youre the first person i heared who likes the standard glock sights :)
To me first of, they are plastic which is awful especially if you practice running slides on youre gear one handed etc - they break.
Also the rear sight is totally distracting and it draws at least my eyes to it which sucks since you want to focus on the front sight if at all possible.
Glocks are awesome but idk about the sights, i can live with the trigger but the sights um no thanks

i use to like the white nail polish in the engravings until everybody and the grandmother started doing it.

+MCZ I like the 19 because of the recoil factor and it's a tad bit lighter overall
+MCZ I have both G19 & G23. I shoot the 19 much more than the 23, I like the 40 cal but recoil and cost is the main reason I stick with the 9mm. It's nice to have both, actually I have the G22; G23; G27 and like all 3 but the G19 is probably my favorite. When loading up for self defense use the Speer 124 Gold Dot.

Barrel length does matter when it comes to velocity.
What grip is on the 27?
The safety is My Finger.
I want this same gun down to the color. They're a little harder to find in Massachusetts though so I'm gonna have to stick with my VP9 until I can find one

+BigAl0331 I would go Gen 4, but if the Gen 3 feels better to you in hand then go Gen 3. There isn't much difference in recoil. Either way you can't go wrong!
+BT Blades Thank you for the input. One more question for you: have you noticed a difference between the weight of the trigger pull? I've read/heard that the Gen 4 is a little heavier than the Gen 3. Again, thanks for your info.

+BigAl0331 I don't remember that much of a difference, but I gave my Gen 3 to my Dad around 3 years ago. It had a lot of rounds through it so it was definitely broken in. I would have to shoot them back to back again to answer that question. Sorry.
Thank you for all the input. I've decided to go with the Gen 4. Love the grip texture and the rest of the pistol feels like the same quality ass-kicker my other Gen 3 Glocks have. Again, thanks.

I loved the 19 until I sold my Gen3 for the Gen4. I had brass flying in my face (erratic ejections) Stove pipes (Failures to feed and to eject). I called Glock and they admitted the new Gen4 19 all shipped with the wrong spring. So they recalled all Gen4 springs. I was mailed the new spring and that still did not fix the problems. I gave up and wanted to sell it but I had just bought it and I would be losing at least $200 to get rid of it getting about $400. Well, 3 months later Glock announced the ejector needed to be replaced but I had to mail my gun to Glock with a letter stating the problem. It did fix the problems. All in all my Glock was a POS for about 10 months before it got where it needed to be functionally. I eventually sold it and got the Walther PPQ, and I couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor and shoot the PPQ. I know the aesthetics aren't for everyone but the gun is amazingly accurate and way better built then the Glock. You can feel the quality with Walther you just can't get with Glock. I did it. I used white nail polish. There is a bunch of vids on RUclips on how to do it! :)

ricekidx Yes a compact, but not a sub compact. It's smaller than the glock 17, but bigger than the glock 26.
