my first handgun is gonna be a gold plated desert eagle with a acog sight on it and drum magazine
lmao
😂😂😂😂
Don't forget tiger stripes!
Joke right?
+xGettinxMoneyx of course not
Great video ! Personally at this time I only own 2 handguns. I'm retired now but I carried a S&W model 66 .357 revolver for about 10 years. It was an awesome weapon, simple to care for and took a licking & kept on ticking. Later my department switched to 9mm handguns, they choose the Beretta 92FS M&, I won't lie, I missed my S&W .357, lots of firepower and easy to handle. Reluctantly I accepted my 92FS, I carried it for the rest of my career and in short order fell in love with it, I just couldn't find any faults in it and it was very easy to handle, it came with 3 15 round clips, so I did my job carrying 46 rounds, including one in the pipe...never jammed or misfired ! Both were awesome weapons. I kept my S&W and just purchased a Beretta 92 FS-C (compact), it s' light and easy to conceal. Beretta has come a long way, and S&W is a high quality weapon as always.
I am happy to see that you are recommending the Beretta PX4 Storm. I purchased the PX4 Storm compact for my first handgun. Over 2 years and 4000+ rounds later, it is still by far my favorite handgun. It still functions and looks as good as the day I purchased it. When I took my concealed carry classes, I used it for all of the training and the qualification. I own other handguns now, but my PX4 Storm is the most enjoyable and heavily used.
Appreciate the simplicity, identifying concealment options, clip capacity and safety features.
My first was a Ruger P series. They're built like a tank, fit nicely in your hand, run great, and can be had for cheap.
My wife and I both love our XD40's. Incredibly accurate, very nice trigger pull, excellent safety features and very good quality.
Nice presentation.
Yup ideal handguns
Finally took your advice and bought a PX4. We're very happy. Thanks.
Great job reviewing your three top handguns. Thank you.
I own a px4 .40 and I love it. the fact the decocker and pin take away safety makes me feel safer along with the drop block. so its Safe but easily taken off of safe for if needed asap. As well as the DA/SA making it easier to put more shots on target quickly.
My first gun is a Springfield XD 40 S&W. I got it for $500 after tax, best investment I've ever made. Living in AZ is amazing, no CC permit required.
@Larry Bulthouse rite what is he talking about??
He's talking about the round moron. 40 Smith and Wesson... 😂🙄
/\ Lmao Same for new mexico though love it & feel for people that live in gun restricted states
Take advantage of the state you live in!! Easy for a good citizen to be armed in case anything happens
Dang I want to move to Arizona for this reason... and the weather, kind of... I live in Chicago now, it’s a shit show here.
Thanks for making this video. I've been wanting to learn more about this stuff for a while now, and you made it really simple and to the point. Keep up the good work.
I've been going back and forth on getting a gun and permit for years. I found this video very informative.
All great pistols. I like the Beretta PX 4 the best, though. I love my Berettas !
8:40 awesome editing
Brett Kos who care about editing, this is gun shop 🕵🕵
Says the guy with 57,000 less subscribers then he does. Give him some slack he was new at this when he started. And 57k damn that’s nothing to shy at.
Excellent video. You really know your stuff. You break things down to simple terms. Thnx
Thank you green light shooting for your good video information, time and help. Great guns and I like it.
Mine was the CZ P-07, great price point and even greater weapon. The sights leave something to be desired, but they work.
I can speak up for the Beretta PX4 Storm. I bought the .40 ($500 two years ago) and I really am impressed with the overall quality, feel, exterior looks, and...this gun's sights are dead on. I shoot very well with this Beretta. In my opinion this gun is a great value and is a great "first gun."
I really enjoyed this video, it was super helpful! Definitely satisfied with the content
Well presented and very informative, as a first time buyer I particularly enjoyed your emphasis on safety. Great work!
just bought the Glock 19 and I'm in love with it!!! I deep down know I made the best decision, my wife wants to trade her bodyguard 380 in on a G 19 now lol btw thanks for the video it helped with my purchase
Thank you for your recommendation. I was leaning towards the Glock 19, but after seeing the Springfield XD(M), you made me reconsider and do some research. I am now the proud owner of the Springfield XD(M).
VinBadaBing He persuaded me into choosing the XDM as well 👍🏿
The XDs is great as well, especially the 4" barrel. With the longer mag, it's a perfect compromise for range/concealed.
great video, hope to see some more videos soon. along with other videos I watched I learned the most off of this one in particular because I'm planning on buying my first handgun in the next couple of weeks. you really went into great detail about your top 3 choices awesome work! keep it up buddy! shout out from Texas by the way!
Thanks for this informative video - great rationale for your choices! I'll check to see if you have some newer videos too. Great stuff!
The Springfield Xdm 9mm was my first gun. I have to say I really love it. The safety features are great, holds a lot of rounds, feels good in your hand, extremely easy to breakdown, and when firing the kickback isn't too severe. I denifintely recommend it as your first handgun.
Px4 never goes wrong..love my baby!
Excellent, well informed, well rounded, unbiased video. Well done.
I picked up my FIRST gun 2 months ago, i did go with the Springfield XD 40! wow Im very impressed Thanks for the info...
Please, for the love of God, zoom in on the guns so we can see _what you're taking about_.
How'd you do that? Those italics? I want to know how to do that...
vgman94 You put an underscore ( _ ) right before and after the area you want _Italicized_. The same can be said for stars ( * ) to make things in *Bold* text. I'm happy to answer your question mate, but a quick Google search would've explained things much faster than I.
P.S.:
you can combine both to create *_SUPER EMPHASIS!!!_*
***** Thanks, mate *I'll try it now.*
_Hopefully_ this post will be the start of a *_new legacy!_*
_hm_
***** But do you know how to -cross out- the text? I do.
springfieldd XD sounds already like a fun gun. i mean the XD part in it.
thank you very much. My girlfriend and I are in the market for our first guns. We are getting our CHL. This was a great help.
Thank you for the informative video. I've made a few of my own that I wish I could edit! Good work, and great information.
i am a complete novice and was looking for the best 9mm for home, range and most of all for having fun I've decided on Glock 19 for being a well balanced gun, I know there's no such thing as a perfect gun but Glock seems to have struck a good balance between usability and performance. Thanks for the post your videos are the best.
Sig p2022 is great to compare to your Glock before you buy
This guy is very knowledgeable, and explains well, thanks for posting . any suggestions for really big hands ?
yes, I would suggest a large magnum condom.
John Doe Not that you would have any use for a large condom.... tiny
a monster condom, for my magnum dong
I have big hands and I like the FNX personally.
ASDFx2 Thank you .
Hey great video, clear and easy to understand for a newby to guns.
Great video. This Gentleman was very easy to watch and learn from.
Ruger SR9 baby!
This is a great video. Great guns too. This guy explains stuff in a very simple way unlike some other people on this site. Maybe next time consider doing the video a little closer to the camera. Just so the viewer can get a better look at what you are describing.
Thanks for the vid... the way you present it makes a noob like me feel less intimidated. Quick, effective and simple... how I imagine a weapon should be.
Thank you for sharing, there's so many choices. What I am looking for is for home defense.
Just purchased the Springfield XD-M 9mm
How do you like it
My first gun was Beretta 92FS. You can't go wrong with PX4 Storm either
Im looking to buy my first gun next week...it will be a 92fs
Piano Otoko my first gun is going to be a 92fs inox.
92fs is a great gun. Just a little big for a first timer . That thing is huge
As a fan of resident evil I'd buy a 92FS and turn it into the samurai edge
I love my px4 storm in 40s&w..great gun...I've been shooting since I was a young boy and the px4 is, in my opinion, a great gun for anyone.....accurate, inexpensive, and simple to maintain....(I have never had a malfunction while shooting...very reliable)
This guy is awesome. Instant subscribe, I know there's more to guns than this video but he seems knowledgeable and nice.
You should redo this video for 2016, would love to see how you feel about the S&W M&P
+Green Light Shooting ... But why
And glock 43
Well, Chad - 2016 is running out. Just sayin' ...
time for a 2017 video
2018 plz
Great video man. Can you do a video on handguns for left handed people? and which guns are best suited for lefties?
thanks a million.
Looking forward to seeing it.
Thank you.
David Mazo Hi David I'm an ambidextrous shooter, meaning I shoot with either hand primarily. A great gun for the money is the FNS-9 made by FN Herstal. It's a full size 9mm, weighs only 25 oz's. Easy to shoot, take apart/clean, comes with three 17 round high capacity magazines and a hard case. They have ambidextrous controls so both right handed and left handed shooters can shoot and control the gun with ease. You can pick these up brand new at most gun stores for under $500. I would certainly do research on it as well as video reviews of people who have shot it. Not saying you have to buy this gun if you're looking for a hand gun that's ergonomic for left handed shooters, but for the money it's hard to find a better value. Hickock45 here on RUclips has a great review on it.
Bizzel Snizzelz thank you for your time and help. I will be looking into this gun.
+883elf thanks for your help.
+883elf
There are a few guns that are "fully ambi", and some that are adaptable to lefties. Fully ambi include HK P30 and Walther P99 because all controls work with both hands without adjusting the mag releases.. I call these guns "semi ambi". S&W M&P and Beretta PX4 because the mag releases are reversible, but not full time ambi..
Great video. Very informative & demonstrative.
I own all 3. Glock19 is my fav of them
Man ibought the glock 19 m3 second hand I freaking love it
Glock 23 hands down in my book... reliable, perfect functioning size, very controllable, and concealable
I'm very happy with my Springfield XD-9 Service. Just added a Talon grip and PRP drop-in combat trigger!! This pistol is a real sweet shooter.
The Px4 was my first pistol. Nice gun. Really accurate. Easy to clean. It also comes with replaceable parts that make the grip smaller or bigger for comfort. I'm not sure how much recoil the rotating barrel takes away but a .40 isn't much bang to begin with anyway. I've put about 2100 rounds through it and the action is still crisp when I shoot or just press check it and it's still very accurate. Anyway, Nice video glad to see my px4 made it on the list
I wish i was American just so i could get a collection... shame really... and ironic that i am British and the reason why you guys get guns lol
I wish Brits and Aussies and Canadians would fight and get their rights back.
MrRoboskippy And stop bitching.....
9009cody
Not all us bitch about :P
Other than the Piers Morgan hoplophobe types that move to the US, alot of the Brits who come here, jump feet first into gun collecting. One of my ex-UK buds here has a huge collection of FAL's, Enfields, HiPowers and Webleys. And is the process of getting his paperwork for a full auto Bren. And he still calls us seppos gun crazy!!!!
You Brits always can get work here in the US too, just lay that Brit accent down on the HR Lady and bingo you got the job.
RoyalWulffDry I thought only born Americans could own a collection.
The rotating barrel system on the Beretta PX4 Storm is purely to dampen recoil. It has nothing at all to do with "Self cleaning" (!?!).
Good point MrBulletpoints. I know very little technical details about guns, but I do know bullshit, and the guy who made this video doesn't know anything about guns or strategy or real world self defense.
Excellent! Great instructional video! I've learned a lot from watching.
I had a Beretta s9000 that had that same safety release and it was actually the reason I sold it when you engage it with it loaded IT FIRES!
Best first handgun is a good .357 Magnum/.38 Special revolver - a Ruger GP100 or a S&W 686+.
I agree !!!
Just looking at a .38 today
Only if you have enough money to buy a second gun after you learn the basics of that 6-round cowboy pistol, which you will master in about 1 day. :)
@@bruhdamartinasty3636 You favor capacity above all.
My choices would be G19, M&P9, XD9, CZ-75, 92fs, P226, VP9, SR9, and maybe a PPQ. There are a lot of great general purpose handguns out there. Most of it is personal preference, no need to have a pissing contest in the comments.
Just picked up 2014 Pocket Pistols buyers guide already had the Springfield XD-9 flagged as a possible first gun glad you agree. Learned a lot and I like the extra safety features
i like how u played it safe brother .....the three best guns suited for the masses right now
In Cali. all in 9mm
XD9 $429
G19g3 $499
PX4 $549
C Gonzo seems cali has cheaper prices then F.L for the most part.
Hector Hernandez yea but most of CA has to pay a 10% sales tax. on top of that you have to take a stupid 30 question test to be able to buy a handgun. that test runs about 30$
Update: G19g5 in Illinois: About $675
Dont forget all the fees we pay. Now we pay a fee for ammo
ya fuck these stupid gun laws man..... in California we're pretty much fucked .....
Zoom the camera in so we can see MORE of the guns!!!
Great vid! Thanks! Still shopping for my first 9mm! There are too many choices but you have helped confirm the Glock as the front runner as my range gun.
Great review. Excellent job. I totally agree with the 9mm deal.
The best first hand gun For women or men Is the Smith & Wesson Mp Shield Subcompact
In 9mm or 40cal.....
Glock would be my first choice. Reliable and has a lot of sweet mods
Glock 23 the best. You can shoot 9mm and 40 sw, the two most common and cheapest semi auto caliber. also has the option to shoot 357 sig that can reach low to mid end 10mm caliber ballistics and 125 grain 357 mag ballistics. All in one glock 23. Just switch barrel. 357 sig can use same mag as 40 sw. However, you would need 9mm mags for 9mm. No other mod needed, just barrel switch.
Can't go wrong with a Glock. Reliable and one hell of a work horse. Eat's everything up and options to upgrade as you go on your own terms.
Really helpful and informative vid. Looking for all 3 needs. Thanks for making me feel normal;-)
Thanks for uploading the video. Great information on those handguns. I even learn a couple of things of my px4, on your video.
I’m 19 and carry my xd40 everyday. Love it
no one gives a fuck how old you are lmao
@sourdeez right? being illegal doesn't make you cool lol
What about a gold plated 50 cal Desert Eagle?
The recoil is a bitch. Shoot it 50s style if you don't want a broken nose.
+Abraham Lincon I was kidding, but I'm built for recoil. I don't have a runners body. I have a stand there and beat someone's ass type of body.
+bon vivant that doesnt suit self defence its just a range toy and the recoil fucking sucks
+Black Dragon It was a joke man.
bon vivant yeah i knew i was just giving tips man
Really like your presentation man. You have an act for this. Keep it up
Very informative love that Springfield I think it might be a must have thanks Big al
Should have put the Taurus G2C or G3 instead of the beretta much better handgun in my opinion plus very affordable and reliable
Taurus are crap
If you have the money and it won't break the bank, I will agree with you can't go wrong with a Glock 19. It is one of a few guns that is a guarantee.
rclines001 yeah but there so ugly tho
Yes but u can count on ugly to never let u down.
I just wanted to come back and say thanks for this video. I first saw it back in December when considering my first gun. I had never heard of the XDM. This video led me to do some research and go down and rent a XDM. Am now the owner of the exact gun w/kit that you show in the video. Absolutely love it.
Great video. Learned a lot. I would be a first time buyer. Thank you.
Dude, did you just show a $700 price tag for a Glock 19 gen4?? That is nuts...paying anything over $600 is ridiculous and a rip off.
read his comments this was after sandy hook
You should come to thailand glock 19 gen 4 would be 3000 usd lol
Tim Morgan I'm in thailand and your right. Glocks are freaking expansive here omfg. I wonder how much it would be to import one instead.
The reason there so expensive is the tax on firearms in thailand importing them would be just as expensive I got told it was because the gov didn't want poor people having firearms as they feel that they would be more likely to shoot each other how true that is I don't know but I live in thailand about half the year
Dude i live in Jordan believe it or not the Glock 19 cost here US $4250 :'(
#1) steel 38/357 S&W or Ruger revolver. #2) Mk III Ruger. #3) AFTER MASTERING the first two handguns THEN progress to the combat autopistols.
That’s nice , I like the Springfield too, thank you .👍
Very nice presentation. Much appreciated.
Jeezus. It's a shoe-store for guns.
aint a damn thing wrong with tht lol
+MoonEyes2k You probably are from country, where are no gun shops... Arent you?
Gangster88232 Errrr...no, wrong. But around here, gun-stores don't look like a super-store for shoes.
+MoonEyes2k wow, I wonder what you'd think about a bass pro shop. thats like a disney land for guns lol. they have fake waterfalls and aquariums and rock climbing lol. i saw one with a bowling alley as well hahahaha
MoonEyes2k It looks like GTA gun shops lol
Where is the M&P?
BECAUSE THEY ARE CRAP COMPARED TO THESE 3!
@@bigfootswatching9986 crap, really!
Thank you for putting this together.
good vid, funny I was looking into these 3 already. Im leaning to the beretta but like some of the Springfield safety features.
I live in England i hope i don`t get arrested for watching this. great video.
hey your missing the glock killer m&p2.0🇺🇸
Do you realize this video was made several years before the M&P 2.0 came out?
Alan Ostermann oh yeah I just sow that thanks
M&P 2.0 definitely has not killed the Glock
suldan life haha when you don’t know a thing about guns 😂
Great video, don't worry about the edit. Lots of great info.
Awesome review thanks for sharing
The only gun I own is my Glock 17.
I'll stick to legendary 1911 ..45ACP as my go to go gun!
First question should be "have you ever shot a gun"?
Great video! I am a fairly new shooter and these are the three guns that ended up on my short list. All three are very nice and I happily shoot all of them.
Great recommendations, great pistols.! I would add Walther P-99 AS to that lot too.
So you talked about these guns but didn't really give any criterion for making a choice. What are each guns pros and cons? What are pros and cons for pistols?
Shawn Boling It is slightly smaller and lighter - much more amenable for conceal carry, and the rotating barrel results in less recoil.
I believe all shooters should start with a 1911 they are hands down the most accurate handguns and the best handguns to shoot with, later you can move down to a polymer framed gun
Takedown is a hassle though and they're too heavy and large for carry.
decent and detailed presentation, good job !
I really like your video. You don't look like a traditional gun nut and you explain functionalities and present really well!
Personally I would take off the Glock and the Springfield. Most first time buyers I've encountered want a safety. In replace I would suggest maybe one of the FN pistols, the FNX or FNs, depending on preference, and then a Ruger SR9.
Ive had an FN hi power chambered in .40 for years but wanted a polymer gun so I went to the gun shop to pick up a glock 23, ended up with the FN FNS instead. Absolutely love it.
FN FN FN FN FN FN WOOO!!!! lol.
***** True, I don't disagree with that. But my point is simply they often feel better with a safety than without. And personally, I've been shooting most of my life, at least 15 years or so, and I still like to have safeties on my firearms. Mainly for transportation or carrying something while hunting (I carry an FNP 45)
Yea sell a beginner the line of the most expensive pistols in the store.
Dylan Kneifl How do you figure they are the most expensive in the store? An SR9 typically runs around the same as a Glock and an FN isn't much more expensive. Sure as hell cheaper than some Sig's or HK's.
You should've told 'em about the horrawful grip angle on the Glocks.
filoIII I have a gen 3 glock 23i have no problem with the grip
Yes the grip is a deal breaker for many people including myself. I just can’t do it.
@@jamesfoster6036 I just bought that the other day, my first gun.
Not something you find often at a gun shop; a very nice gun specialist. Thanks!
please start listing the guns in the info - It just always makes it easier for those of us taking notes. Thanks, good informative video.
