@@LifewithChance8800 I have had Marines and Army Special Ops tell me we are absolutely insane going out and flying in Hurricanes and other inclement weather conditions.
The force it would take to open the door the way he did must have been immense. Not only that, but the pilots and crew chief keeping everything stable with the wash from the falls... This should be in a Coast Guard recruiting commercial. Absolute bad ass.
I've lived here all of my life. The Falls are invigorating, refreshing, peaceful, and spiritual. One has to respect nature, be cautious, and careful while enjoying the beauty. Someone who drives into the rapids is doing so out of despair.
To rpm773: People who visit Niagara Falls are, indeed, shocked by the close proximity of danger. People who live here are not overwhelmed by it. When I visited the Grand Canyon in 1976, I was afraid of falling into it. I'm not tempting fate by hanging over guard rails or climb over fences to walk on slipery slopes like some people do.
The amount of balls these guys have is beyond crazy !! You got to be in real good ass shape to even attempt to be in the Coast guards !! They always had my Respect !
@@robmuir2361 I'm looking at the map and I don't see any easily reached area from even the pedestrian walk bridge. Unless she drove in intentionally, I don't understand how she got in the river.
Ok. So how the fuck did someone get their car out there? The stupidity of humans never ceases to amaze me. How people get in certain situations is beyond me.
So is the guy that got the call & flew from Michigan just to be dropped into that scary as hell water with a rope and an axe, crawl into the submerged vehicle & strap a dead body to himself so her family could bury her. Pretty sure they have to factor in the weight of that guys stones when loading that chopper.
@@TheMusicHeals.kjhjhhg Absolutely correct because EVERYONE in the world know that only Americans visit Niagara Falls from the 'merican side, and Canadians and tourists ONLY visit the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Thank you for your astute observation and commentary, genius!! 🙄

Outstanding. This goes to show the level of skill and professionalism that the US Coast Guard has and operates by. I'm glad we have them.
Thank you for saving that about the USCG Lots of people think marines have all the balls

I read somewhere that he used the current to help push the door, that is why he went for the passenger side. Amazing
This lady did this on purpose??? I just found out and she died??? Oh my gosh! But this human is still a "hero"!!! Amazing human being!!!👌👍👌👍👌
“So others may live” 👏
We visited Niagara falls in 1989 when I was 13. I found the whole area to be very unsettling. This video sums it up perfectly
try living there, its a nightmare dealing with annoying tourists constantly

These Coast Guard rescue teams have nerves of steel. They’re the only ones who could have pulled off such a rescue.
Such a powerful helicopter
Where can I find the whole video
Didn't show because other report said was recovery of a body. Apparently suicide. There about 2hrs. Eternal rest.
I Love The United States of America Coast Guard Most Honorable herself!
Just did helo training in savannah ga, these guys are pros
how the heck did a car get in that far to begin with ?
@@robmuir2361 easy if u go off the road, over some grass, and then over the boulders that line the shore lol.
They had to try to get in there lol.
@@robmuir2361 thanks Rob, i didn't realize you can easily drive your car into the water anywhere around there, i would assume there would be fencing.
probably drove there

I wonder if the energy the falls generate (?) could be harnessed
Quite a lot of resources there for something that doesn't require 30 police officers.
Sir, you cannot park there.
how in the hell did a car end up in there
that is what I would like to know!
someone needs to tell them they cant park there
Skip,. No resolution.
GEESH!
Did this dope not know you are supposed to go over the falls in a barrel and not a car?
Go Coast Guard 👍
Its probably SOOOO fuckin cold. Omg.

Well that was a waist of 58 seconds of my life
Exactly. Let's cut the video before anyone sees the rescue!
Fouled Anchor.
I didn't now we had a undercover police
Wouldn’t it be easier to strap the rescuer to the fence by a cable and wade in?
apparently not
Apparently you don't understand the force of that water.
@@george-cann you realize how fast and powerful that current is? No way they could swim there 🤦♂️
😂
The answer: absolutely not a hope in hell. The force of the water before it goes over the falls is unbelievable.
