Thanks for reacting to this, I just saw her in Detroit this past Friday. She sounds better live than the recording. My favorite version of this is when she was brought onto stage to sing this with Eric Church. He introduced her as "A whiskey drinking bada#*".

She is super talented. She wrote it about her father and grandfather. She is absolutely IMO the most talented singer/songwriter in country music. I’ve seen her 5 times in concert and she’s amazing.

Girl Going Nowhere for her Opry induction always gets my vote

  • @Holly_D84

Great choice! Ashley usually is feisty. She was the one in the hardware store buying the shovel and rope and going after her daddy's lover lol. Now that you've heard this song, you should check out the live version. She is a wonderful storyteller and there's another verse that was cut for the album.

You guys would love Ashley's fat and famous song live in London and her Opry debut of girl going nowhere this girl is way underrated

  • @markoehler2752

That lady may end up single handedly saving country music

i lost my father a few months ago and a lot of the things she sang about her old man described my father thank you i think it is my new favorite song

I second the vote for Gospel Night at the Strip Club from Ashley. It reminds me of Kristofferson To Beat The Devil

  • @sarahnelson8794

She showcased one of her newer songs on TikTok recently, I think it was called "Baby Sister"...and let me tell you I sobbed!! This woman has more talent in her pink toe than most people have in their entire life! It is not on RUclips yet, but boy when it does ya'll REALLY need to react to it.

  • @amykienitz6311

Have to listen to “Gospel Night At The Strip Club”. Acoustic version, then listen to her song “Bonfire At Tina’s” original video. I believe the songs you were referring to were Miranda Lambert’s “Gunpowder & Lead”.

This woman is so authentic in her music. I believe she wrote this song about her dad. She captivates you with her guitar playing and her winding melodic vocals. She can also show her crazy side with her song writing .

This is amazing! Ashley has always been a favorite. Now I have another song to add to my favorites play list!

  • @shayeplunkett24

    Love this song!

  • @dalemassie2241

My first time hearing her playing this song live with just her and her guitar which is amazing. I instantly became a fan. The song was about her dad

Always good to have more Ashley in the mix! This one is always bittersweet for me. A lot of the specifics don’t apply to my dad but the feeling does for sure.

  • @firefighting_yeti

The first songs you mentioned were sung my Miranda Lambert and the one was Kerosene and the other was Gun Powder and Lead.

  • @sherydenslament

Great reaction! This is one of my favorite songs of hers.

  • @lisaorlowski5987

I saw her from the 5th row of a small venue. This song had everyone in tears.

  • @debbiewaters5153

Another great one is her first “ Girl going nowhere “ yall should really check it out too!

  • @jwmson7791

A testament to the beauty of a her song writing was just seeing how mesmerized you both were while listening. I’m the same way every time I listen to this. Love this song. You should do her live Grand Ole Opry performance of Girl Going Nowhere. She tells the story of what she was told about her dreams in high school. It’s moving the way this was, just her on an acoustic guitar. Ashley is an amazing singer writer. ♥️
