The re-releases for 6, 5 and 4 aren't 'remasters'.

Remastered is just a brush up to clean the edges and increase pixel to hd.., digitalfoundry said this game is remastered,,. If the game is ported from ps3 the frame rate and the texture will remain... Resident evil 5 6 is pure remastered game..except the shadow quality is poor on re 6

i dont understand why people are complaining about the game at least they didnt make the price point 59.99 its only 19.99 its hella worth just 20 bucks and i thought this resident evil was actually better then 5 and 4 is the best next to 2

Capcom released resident evil 4, 5 and 6 not because they want to fund for resident evil 7. They want to fund for resident evil 2 remake.
This is why I love remastered. "Aww I wish I can play that game again but I don't have a PS3 anymore. Oh there's a remaster on ps4?! HELL YESS". That's why remastered are awesome. Stop complaining about lack of anything or all that just be glad it's coming on next gen

TQT1995 its obvious its a port..but they remastered it in to better frame rate increase a little bit of graphics... Its just like last of us remastered version of the ps4... And resident evil 5 and uncharted collection all remastered version has boost the frame rate... Hd and remaster is just the same... Sometimes people makes mistake about the remaster version and the remake version... Thats why it is a hd release for the ps4

Textures are slightly improved? Look at your own clip in the tunnels. The difference between PS3 and PS4 textures is huge!
Whoever did the port for the DmC Definitive should do all Capcom ports too, they did a fantastic job on the PS4 version.

I would like a "REMASTER" OF resident evil 4 with online play. though I can't see online play in that cause its just one player... when they remaster games, do they have the voice actors redo the voices?

i just hope they FINALLY fix some of the textures in resident evil 4 it didn't feel like they changed anything on the pc remaster other then touching up the characters and sloppily putting in 60 fps
+john grinwis The RE4 remake is scheduled to be released only in spring of 2017 and will be taking up much more development time than the other remakes, so I assume that it's going to be completely re-textured

Because Capcom wants to play it safe and make as much as they can from games they know people will buy, rather than make another actual RE game. Somehow, companies like Capcom and Sega get some of their games *SO* right, but then seem to WANT to fuck the next few games up. I don't get it.

+Coltallic they are more scarier trust me. Cuz it's a small environment game so that's where horror games are usually made. RE5 and RE6 are open world so it's more action than horrifying.
+Denzel Porte I picked up Rev 2 about a month ago and i did quite like it (still haven't finished it, just kinda got bored after Eps 3). Barry's story with his daughters was really great. Good to see Barry came back into the franchise, he's one of my favourites. As for the gameplay, the controls are worse than RE5 and RE6. The animations are cheap and the graphics are pretty outdated. Most of the sound effects for the guns are from RE6. It's really sad, cause it could've been a much better game if Capcom actually put some effort into it. And boy, did they fucking ruin Claire.

+Andy Burton visually it looks far better. everything looks sharper and more detailed. and ambient occlusion for example is directly affected by resolution meaning it looks far less like black halos and actual shadows.

the thing is, resident evil 6-5-4 wont be 'HD remasters" they're just taking the pc version, and porting it with slightly downgraded things, it's not remastering anything.

It was actually a rerelease. Not a remastered.
I bought it on PC master race of long haired men and huge pecks edition and it looks and runs better. But seriously just buy the PC version if you have a good PC. Hell it runs fine on my rig and and I didn't pay $1,000 for my gaming PC, only $400 and it looks great and runs great all maxed out. If it were a remaster it would be a different story.

nope, that's what I expected and it turned out perfect IMO. If they were to "fix" other stuff then there would be framerate drops ect... with these half ass consoles out right now. I think Capcom is doing right by keeping the games like this as now I don't have to worry about fps and if its 1080p or not. Basically its so sad that we got shit consoles the day ps4 and xbone came out...not powerful enough for games really other than ports.

Graphics looks the same. Maybe the only thing different I get to play RE6 on the PS4 it's as simple as that. This is not what u called a Remastered Capcom.

Yet another disappointment for PS3.1 and Xbox 361 owners. The technology in them was obsolete when the systems were launched. I'm glad I only paid $300 for mine.

"Resident Evil 6" came out not too long ago, "Resident Evil 5" will come out in the summer and "Resident Evil 4" will come out in the fall. When will "Resident Evil: Revelations" and "Revelations 2" come out? The first game was the best out of all the newer games.

Nexceed : I pretty much started the series with "Resident Evil 5", so I never got to play the older games. So far out of "5", "6", and the "Revelations" games, I felt the first "Revelations" was better. Had more of the horror feeling than the other games.
I liked resi 6. I feel like if it wasn't called resident evil the reviews would be much better. As a horror game, it fails. As an action game, its not horrible.
