"He's tough but he's a gentleman." That description sums up masculinity.
I feel like Maldini was the same
I saw a clip of Puyol few days ago receiving a slap from an opponent and didn't react instead intervened when R10 wanted to get into a fight. Gentleman indeed
@@siyakudumisamajeke7077yup that clip sums up Carles Puyol perfectly. Beast of a defender but one hell of a gentleman. 😊
What we should all strive to be.
I was always terrified of playing Chelsea strictly because of Drogba. True legend of the sport. From a United fan
Me even more as an Arsenal fan. United has a good record against him. He was the bullier. Everything was possible till the last second with him. Costed Arsenal League cups, League title, unlimited damages
Ditto as an arsenal fan it was inevitable that Drogba would get on the scoresheet and chelsea with the win.
Beast of a striker. Streets will always remember Drogba ❤
The Barcelone Chelsea rivalry during the 00s to early 10s was pretty epic.
Absolutely insane!!!
So many classic memorable matches between them, Barcelona hated to face chelsea
Drogba was one of my favourites. I don’t like Chelsea but i loved Drogba. I remember watching Chelsea and Barca in 2012 and Drogba knew he was leaving Chelsea so this particular CL campaign was his last chance to win it with Chelsea and he went above and beyond the call of duty. Barca were all over them but Drogba was immense, bossing the shit out of Pique and Puyol and whoever else that got in the way. When Terry got sent off, Drogba filled in everywhere he felt he had to in order to help Chelsea, even defending on his own byline on numerous occasions. Complete striker but had initiative to do what needed to be done when the team needed it. One of the very best the Prem has ever had.
Well well said
Same here. I watched most of the Chelsea games because of him.
He is one of the reasons and players that made me love Chelsea passionately 💙
I love CR7 and other fews players but can't support their clubs because once blue is running in your blood there is no going back.
Drogba's a legend
Facts.
Kids these days love to use stats only to disrespect legends lol, his game was much more than just goals, powerhouse of a striker
@@RetroFootballFCfvck stats kante didn't have stats to back up his games but we know he is beast of midfielders.
Check him and jorginho stats you will understand
@@Is_tosaino exactly
Drogba was unreal. Especially in cup finals
I can't understand why people underestimate Puyol . People even think that Sergio Ramos is better defender. Crazy.. maybe offensively but defensively Puyol is of the best defenders in the last 20 years, and he was not dirty defender unlike ramos
It’s largely because those fans were too young to have watched Puyol in his prime. I’ll take Puyol over Ramos any day of the week. I’ll get a better defender and less of a disciplinary liability, even if at the cost of an inferior technician and a weaker threat in set pieces.
@@hitthurdeaux Puyol was also not that bad on set pieces. He scored a few very important goals as well. Now had he wanted to play for other clubs in other countries, or play longer, he would have scored more.
@@hitthurdeauxI don't think it's even that. I think it's that at the prime of barca 08 - 15 they were one of/if not the best attacking teams in history so the defence largely gets forgotten about and most think they were just carried by the attack
Ramos is still a better defender and if you watched them both week and week out, you'd know Ramos just had that x factor. Puyol is just more loveable cause of his character and Ramos not so much, but in terms of footballing ability,Ramos is just better then Puyol and if you watched football without bias you'd know that.
@@nkosinathigasa1312lol, Ramos can’t defend
All top defenders who played against him say he is one of the toughest opponents they have faced...Legend
People forget what a monster of a defender he was. His work ethic was second to none. He wouldn't let Barca score most of the second half when Torres scored and Terry had been sent off.
I'm starting to think about how we would remember Drogba if he started playing nominally as a defender...
Drogba use to be a defender 😅😅😅@@MokaBeats664
Rio wud like to ask that question a million times to Drogba as he likes Drogba's answer "I've always said it YOU and Vidic.." 😂
Tough ,but so much skill to back it up. True Chelsea legend
We can never find a true replacement for Drogba.
We Barca fans always worried about drogba whenever we playing Chelsea in champions league
Puyol always a beast but a gentleman. ❤❤❤
Legend!
Chelsea vs Man Utd were always like Captain America: Civil War, when Didier Drogba was Tony Stark, Nemanja Vidic was Steve Rogers & Rio Ferdinand was James Bucky Barnes...
Osimhen should come to Chelsea and be like this guy🔥!
One of the finest footballers to grace the prem. Not a chelsea fan but i love drogba
My favourite player ever thanks for everything King Drogba
Careless Puyol
United fan one of my all time favourites
Happy birthday to dida drogba
Rio should ask Ballack😂😂
Drogba ❤❤
It was just one game at the 2010 AFCON but Rafik Halliche of Algeria really did a number on Drogba in that game.
The "gorilla," the Drog, the Man for Big Occasions, Mr Chelsea ❤. The only striker I would pick over Drogba is Ronaldo el Fenomeno, the original Ronaldo.
Drogba legend❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Ayy I forgot this dude used to run with Robben
He is still extremely underrated!
Love that man
Drogba hero.
his voice is deeper than pasific ocean
Vidic 😂
Fire 🙌🏾
Legendary Didier Drogba
Drogba and Costa was Chelsea last good strikers😅😅
Comon, we still have life ahead of us why would you say Drogba and Costa is the last good striker. Time will always unleash something to us. Lets patient and see what time has for us as we continue to work and play our part in life.
@@samuelesezobor3221they really were chelsea's last real good strikers. Let's be honest we never really recovered after Drogba, Lampard, Terry, Cech, Cole era
Nemanja was a top notch , high class defender. Tough as nails.
Drogba was never a Bully
Vidic,Stam,Puyol Defenders and Beasts its hard to find this time!
If only Jackson could learn from this man🤦
King Drogba
You must be proud asking question & the answer is you .
Vidic is something else- the definition of an old, real, legendary top class CB - hard, extremely strong, tough, who does not defend the player but the ball, a CB who reads the game perfectly, has a sliding tackle at the level that doesn't exist today, CB who had the best head game and aerial duels in the history of football, CB with perfect knowledge of the game, perfect timing, positioning, decision making and much, much more... Vidic today would be worth 150 M euros minimum, absolutely priceless quality - as well as Puyol, Rio, Nesta, Costacurta, Baressi, Maldini, Turam, Ayala, Cordoba and the rest of the most legendary players ever!!! The funniest thing is comparing Van Dijk with Vidic because van Dijk absolutely does not belong to the highest level of CBs EVER, HE IS NOT NEAR THE MOST LEGENDARY CBs EVER!!!
Maldini Best CB of all time, do you agree?
@@MokaBeats664 No, i don't! Maldini is a LB- his main position, you should know that...
@@Mountainspirit7 A little surprising... There was a big sign saying "Goalkeeping for Italia, the easiest job in the world" with an art picture of Maldini. Since then I thought Maldini was a CB, and didn't think about verifying it...
As for Drogba I always thought of him as a target man (which he started to begin) I never really thought about Maldini's real position...
@@MokaBeats664 you are absolutely correct. Maldini started his career as a left back and he later moved to the central back position. He is argueably the best central Defender of all time
Steve Kerr got me here 🎉
We all knew him as a target man, funny to know he didn't started this way😅
Nemenja vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Wayne rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez and also Edvin Van dersaar. My top 6 guys.
I hope Niko Jackson takes inspiration from this.
Am arsenal fan since my childhood but Drogba was my favorite 🤣🤣🤣 i wonder why ??
Loves from 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
So Jose made him a perfect 9
Nico Jackson you will never be like him…
Mentality is beyond ur ability
Arsenal are finally brave enough to enter the chat
❤As am Arsenal fan.
Vidic-Rio has never been emulated todate. The pair gave strikers hard time, look at Fernando Torres alone
He lied 🤣 vidic got slapped in Moscow so he could get sent off 🤣 he absolutely lied there
Where can I find that sound playing at the background
Please, when did money become a love language? Is it the 6th one they've talking about?😂
Would love to see a prime drogba play now. I’m sure he’d be fantastic as he was back then. His success all the better considering his first season he was labelled Didier dog shit 😂
Both of them were good, Drogba to Chelsea whereas Torres for Liverpool. Torres wasn't good in Chelsea but win what he desires, champions League. He didn't get that at Liverpool. Plus Europer League.
Drogba was a beast I never looked forward to United playing Chelsea even though SAF United were real fighters
Drogba of Samuel Eto?
🔥🔥🔥
💙💙💙💯💯💯✅✅✅👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰
Saliba an example of puyol Gentle but tough to play against
For me Puyol is better than Ramos by far
No Chelsea end up with Jackson and Gallagher 😂
