So you want to come help me with my mess now? I really want to destash a lot of my papercrafting things I no longer use, but I just look at it and walk away. If I did that, maybe it’d have some room in there for yarn! You did a great job. Now keep it that way😂😂.you know it will be a mess again in a week, it’s just how we roll!! 🦋💖🦋💖
Exactly that is the hard part. Next yarn Delivery it will be chaos all over again. I wouldn't know where to start with the paper crafting stuff. Mary and I were talking and we were saying if we just got rid of one thing a day it wouldn't take long before we noticed a difference.
Bravo!!! Yes, you do deserve to treat yourself, you really accomplished a lot! Now you can sit back, crochet, and bask in the glory of a tidy yarn room. I get a bit stressed out when my yarn is a mess, and then frustrated when I can’t find what I’m looking for 😄 And yes, enjoyed watching your video organizing it, all that eye candy, love it 💕
I was just thinking earlier today that I wondered if you had cleaned your craft room yet. Glad you’re making progress and it’s inspiring me to tackle my mess 😊
You've done such a great job. If I could only get started. WOW..... I need to put up squares or shelves and use them for my yarns like you have. I thought that organizing all my yarn into special bags was going to help me but NO, that has just depressed me and stimmied my moving forward with all the work that I had been working on. I need all that yarn out where I can access it and get back to working on it and with it. I can't believe it has taken me all this time to realize it. Thank you Robin for helping me to see what I had been missing. Something about your organizing just kicked me where I needed to be kicked to get busy pulling all my yarn out and getting to it. ❤ THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
Yay Robin!! Good for you!! I cleaned and organized my yarn a couple of weeks ago out of sheer desperation! It was beyond a wreck!! It helps to be able to keep track of what I have snd what I need to restock!!
@KnottingHookCrochet I thought that when you showed it 😂 Seriously I wondered how quickly you would find a pattern that needed an acrylic beard or something
Way to go!! I really need to do that to my craft room. I seem to suffer from post Christmas depression 😊 I better start on my next Christmas crocheting to cheer myself up 😊😊
Great job and oooh I’m such a snoop, I love seeing how everyone organises their craft room, like real rooms and not the fake perfect ones. It must just be that time of year for us to organise ready to start a New Year. Have you tried a yarn winder? I finally bought one after resisting for such a long time & i absolutely love that thing. The cakes stack better and because of that I can get more yarn in cubes or on shelves, so what I do is once a ball gets used about a 3 red and starts to flop around everywhere I cake it. When you ball your yarn it rolls everywhere but little cakes stack so neat. But I love making the cakes so much that I hunt down the yarn to do it and I like the break from crocheting that it gives me. Mine only does small cakes so I’m now saving up to buy one that winds bigger cakes, so if you decide to look at them, go for the bigger one. We are all in for a great 2025 with our crochet journey 🎉
Great job 👏 I’m still waiting on my magic fairy to fix mine 🤣🤣 Hope you had a wonderful Christmas 😊 Glad to see your video no matter the content you always make me laugh 😂 Have a great day 🧶🥰
We’ve all been there, it just kind of sneaks up on you and the next thing you know its chaos..lol! Then I have it all nice and coordinated and I buy more yarn and more yarn and then more yarn and start shoving wherever! I’m with you though, I can only stand it so long and I reorganize, it’s a vicious cycle!
I have a couple more gift cards to burn through 🤣 Not sure what I want to get yet. When your cabinet shows up it will be exciting to get everything together but take your time don't over do it.
@KnottingHookCrochet thanks. My yarn is in two different spots in tubs. Everything is jumbled together projects, finished and yarn. I only have one tub that only has finished items. I need to move that to storage closet in my house so it's out of the way.
@@KnottingHookCrochet I usually like my yarn organized in brands like how you have it so it's been driving me absolutely crazy trying to find anything.
Ugh 😑 I haven’t bought sweet snuggles in a while. I hope they go back to the original yarn. Good to see you getting organized. I know it’s a lot of work. ☺️🙌
Great job! I worked at Jo Ann and now I have to do my best to organize my yarn in rainbow colorway lol. Some retail habits I can't break at home still.
I started keeping the plastic bags they come in, so when I have an open skein or small ball I can put it in that so it doesn't unravel all over the place. Not sure it's a good method, but it's helping me a bit to keep them from being a mess all over the place.
I have two yarns that I like to use and about 5-6 years ago one of them changed manufacturers and the yarn was horrible (thin, sticky). they fixed it and then switched manufacturers again (to a better one). I just used up the last of the icky yarn, so I sympathize with you. Hopefully they get the manufacturing sorted out and you get your favourite yarn back to how it was.
I'm 86 Two of my girls come 3 or 4 times a year So my one daughter takes one look at the sewing g room and by day two they are in there ripping g out fabric, yarn and ribbon They reroll reorganize and refold So I just wait for them My son procrastinated and is always going to do it to,orrow but you know how that goes . Big projects take big, smart people like you It will be amazing (for awhile haha)
0:12 The blue penguin with the bow and hat and the cow with the flower are both so cute?!?! Did you use patterns to make them? If so what patterns did you use?
I love watching your videos. This one was great. You said you were unhappy with Parfait Chunky. I have found Hobby Lobby's Baby Bee A-Dora-Ball is equivalent to Parfait Chunky. I use them together all the time. I have a love/hate relationship with Parfait Chunky. I love how soft it is, or can be, but it flakes so bad and sometimes hard to come by. Sometimes I have to wait weeks, maybe months for colors to come in and once they do, their out of stock again. I just thought maybe this would help you in finding some of the colors you need, like the gray and such.
Robin I feel your pain. The mess gets overwhelming. It’s bleeding into other rooms. My husband says my web is spreading 😂. You are inspiring me to try to organize a little bit. Do you follow knotsmerryyarn? She was having a meeting with Michaels about the quality of their yarn. You might want to inbox her or comment on her post about it. She asked for comments to be able to share with Michaels. I haven’t used that since I first started. I’ve mostly been using Bernat and parfait chunky. Bernat is hard on my hands and arms, but I feel like you can charge more for your time since the plushies are bigger. The parfait just comes out too small for me, even though I like crocheting with it.
It’s like all the usually soft yarns are having the same issues. With Bernat I have to go slow but theirs is getting better. Make sure to use a metal hook(a good one) it helps with the drag plus I have to go to a decent size like a 7mm and even then my hands get tired quickly.
I think it’s absolutely impossible to keep any kind of craft room neat. Creative mess is what I like to call my craft room. You did an amazing job seeing as it takes away from “playtime”. Thanks for the laughs and congrats on your fantastic project. You are an inspiration.
That would work if the bags weren’t bigger than the totes. Maybe I need to buy bigger totes it would save me a lot of time!! Good idea you have there!!

I hate to burst your bubble, but i am pretty sure sweet snuggles lite has changed their formula. It's horrible. I actually went into my Michael's and bought a lot of the old formula. I have been looking all over for something similar because I like the size. But sadly to no avail.
@KnottingHookCrochet Me too. But when I went into the store, at least 75% of the yarn was that crappy stuff. And that pink is horrendous! It doesn't even glide through my clover hooks. I also had to go down a whole hook size. Sad days.
So you want to come help me with my mess now? I really want to destash a lot of my papercrafting things I no longer use, but I just look at it and walk away. 2025 I am going to inventory all my yarn and destash. This video is motivational.
I should destash too but as soon as I do then I will need what I got rid of. You know how that goes.
@@KnottingHookCrochetyou dont need to destash as you make lots of exciting makes for markets

Yes! An elephant is on the hook!!
Good job Robyn. I’m so jealous of your yarn walls 😊
It definitely needs to be on shelves just so you know what you have I wish it was like a Joann yarn wall 😂
You have inspired me to organize my yarn & crochet notions. 🫣
Organizing is the easy part (not really) keeping it that way is an entirely different story 😂😂
Looks great! It was fun looking at your stash and seeing how the room changed. Happy New Year 🧡
Happy New Year to you too! 😊 You know what is going to happen. Now that I put all that acrylic in totes I'll want to use it 🤣

I truly enjoyed this video. I clean/reorganize every couple of months. That way I see what I have and what I need to use.
