it seems like Jidion is actually curious and asking questions and wants to learn, I remember myself I was so stubborn against OSAS and was confused and I would get mad and throw every scripture out there to try and prove my self righteous hypocrisy so I have to extend some grace to the new believers going through same thing, end of day its not flesh and blood we wrestle with and no human is our enemy, its important to keep this in mind and be encouraging with love & truth to all (easier said then done though lol)

Ain’t it crazy how in the very same passage, people attempt to persuade us that salvation is a reward that we must work to earn, which in verse 18, Paul specifically says that the gospel of Christ is without charge? Meaning that if he charged people for it, it would be abuse because the gospel is free.

Ephesians 2:8 says that our salvation is THE GIFT OF GOD while Ephesians 2:9 says we are not saved by works.
Please carefully read the Gospel found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

We dont HAVE to do works, but we should want to do works because not only does it benefit you & others here, but also because it rewards you after. Rightfully dividing the 2 is integral.

Great explanation of the distinction between rewards and salvation. If we had to run a race (work) for our salvation then there would be no one in heaven except for God and his angles. Praise be to God that he loves us so much that he made the sacrifice for us to be able to be with him for eternity.
The distinction between eternal salvation and rewards is one of the least understood biblical truths in all of Christendom!!!
Talk about not “rightly dividing the word!” Ephesians 2:1-10 is clearly addressing initial salvation, not final salvation. Ephesians 2 addresses regeneration, when we transition from the state of being dead slaves to sin to being made alive in Christ Jesus by the free gift of grace through faith. And why are we made alive? Eph 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Thus we see that regeneration is a free, unmerited act of God but once regenerated we are to do the good works God prepared in advance for us to do. A faith that does not have works cannot save.

For so long I’ve felt so confused listening to so many different youtube preachers, it becomes so exhausting. Constantly living in a state of anxiety feeling like my salvation rests on my own shoulders. So many self righteous people on here acting like they’ve never sinned once since hearing the word and claiming that anything below their subjective standard is cause for doubting the validity of our faith. It is the devil who accuses, not God.
So glad I found this channel, it is the only channel I watch now to receive accurate biblical interpretation. My question is are there any other channels like this one? I can hardly find any channels that compare.

Amen, a respected preacher that I've been listening to is preaching Lordship salvation now. I've noticed that Christians that have been living "holy" for decades somehow think that they are superior to others. It's really disheartening. They are equivalent to filthy rags without the blood of Jesus. They somehow forgot that the blood of Jesus is what redeemed them, not their changed lifestyle.
Whether men like to admit it or not, the English language translated in the KJV is more descriptive and clear, especially when studied. Other translations that dilute the translation to “understand easier” actually do just the opposite by causing confusion. Just as Jidion was confused by “disqualified” versus “castaway”

Majority of Christians believe in their works which is unfortunate. Proverbs 14:12 ESV “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.”
I have a friend who thinks that you can lose your salvation and (of course) interprets James 2 as saying that we're justified before God by faith + works, and we've been talking on messenger and I'm always amazed as how folks who believe this go to passages like this about being "disqualified" and somehow read hell into that. But since there are no clear statements about losing your salvation, I guess they have no choice.
Hopefully you can convince them early enough to understand the difference between salvation as a free gift of God and service that we SHOULD do built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Otherwise, we keep seeing these types of confused and deceived false teachers go further down the pit of reprobation until there is no turning back.

I agree wholeheartedly with this response. Philippians offers more support. In chapter two, Paul indicates that he understands his race to be the work of his apostolic ministry.
Phil. 2:16 “as you [believers under Paul’s tutelage] hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.”
Later in Philippians, Paul exposes that he regards the faithfulness of believers he pointed to Christ and indeed the believers themselves, to be his crown.
Phil. 4:1 “Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!”

The parable of the talents states that the one who is cast out into darkness where there is gnashing of teeth is actually a servant of the master who does not DO what is pleasing to God after God gives him and he receives the talent in the beginning of the parable. Could you explain this? Thanks

May I add, I have my own podcast and I talk about Lordship salvation. I’ve come to the conclusion that the Lordship Gospel is quite literally Gnosticism manifesting itself in the church. God raised his only begotten son Jesus Christ from the dead spiritually and bodily and yet God cannot do something as simple as making one perfect bible in any language and limits his pure words only to the so-called originals which don't exist!? Something about scholarship onlyism those so-called scholars are on about doesn't sit right with me considering Satan is the god of this world and his #1 job is to attack the word of God and leaven the gospel. That's the reason I have a King James Bible, I need a real sword that cuts through this spiritual warfare we're all facing, you don't go to war without a weapon unless you want to die.

the verse shown to me that says "whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them that believe not"... this is speaking of God Almighty... the only God... and there is only one God... it's Jesus.
there are King James Bibles that have lower case g in 2 Corinthians 4:4... but it should be upper case G... as it is in the 1611 King James Bible.

@@jhenningkelloggia Satan is called the god of this world in a sense that this world is his kingdom even though Christ was also mentioned in 2 Corinthians 4:4, not that Satan is actually God or god just as there are no such things as gods and goddesses hence the lowercased first letters. Jesus is not the God of this world because the world has been cursed since the garden of Eden, Jesus even said that he's "not of this world" in John 8:23. I know God sends strong delusions but that isn't exactly the context being spoken of in 2 Corinthians 4:3-4.
I hope you believe in the trinity of the Godhead considering you said "there is only one God... it's Jesus", it's a fundamental foundational doctrine for spiritual growth. One God means one Godhead because the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost are united as one, the Word of course is Jesus Christ. If you believe all scripture is inspired in the King James Bible as I do you would know that the most straightforward verse 1 John 5:7 regarding the Godhead belongs in the bible.

Crown is always a reference to rewards , you are wrongly connecting Salvation to "imperishable crown " , Jesus himself told that in Mathew 6:20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal............This verse prove that all reward that a believer earns are are "imperishable " ...........if Salvation is earned then we have big contradiction with other verse like Ephesians 2:8 " For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: ................Once saved always saved

Is it interpretation or the context in which it is being addressed? The Bible is not open for interpretation because this is where division occurs. Onorato, are you on the same page as Gregg Jackson and David Benjamin on the rewards perspective here? It seems David is saying rewards are also not through works but that Christ is our reward when we operate by faith. Maybe there is no distinction, but it seems when I watch David Benjamin that he considers this Galatian error similar to Yankee Arnold. I’m not saying one is right or wrong as I’m still learning, so I’m curious for your thoughts.

Using a counterfeit CSB modern bible version that Jidion is using doesn't help. The CSB modern version OMITS a key verse such as Matthew 18:11 and the CSB removes the BLOOD in Colossians 1:14 thus perverting salvation.

The difference should be clear when you see there are two different emphases:
1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
“I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection”
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
“and that not of yourselves”
See the stark difference? Keeping under your body is of yourselves whereas the gift of eternal life is not.
Revelation 22:12 KJV
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
“according as his work shall be.”
The gift of God is “not of works” whereas the reward is according to how our “work shall be.”

If Jesus alone is our “reward”, then is He given to every man “according as his work shall be”? Obviously not. Can we suffer the loss of Christ? No.
1 Corinthians 3 says,
“14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”
Brother. Nobody’s negating that salvation is a free gift. It absolutely is a gift; however it’s a gift that can be taken away just as easily as it’s obtained. God the most righteous just Judge will not allow into the kingdom those who work iniquity.
If the gift is kept by you keeping yourself under subjection, then the gift is of yourself:
Ephesians 2:8 KJV
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Romans 4:4-5 KJV
[4] Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
[5] But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Romans 11:6 KJV
And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
Your assertion asserts that God lied in these verses. God is not a liar, salvation is by grace and grace is not of works. It couldn’t be more clear.
@@sermontrailers8408 Works have nothing to do with sin and iniquity. I don’t understand why this free grace philosophy doesn’t seem to understand that. Sin/transgression/iniquity and works are polar opposites, they have no correlation. Mathew 7: 22 disproves this whole theology instantaneously. “Works” are intentional “good deeds” that have nothing to do with salvation. For Christians Works are fruit of your relationship with Christ; but for Muslims and other groups “works” are how salvation is “acquired”

Salvation is through faith alone but that doesn’t mean the gift can’t be taken away from you if you blasphemy the Spirt, iniquity, harden your heart; however you want to call it. The book of Jonah is also Old Testament which means that situation in 3:10 would work differently now because of what Jesus did for us.
