This song is somewhat based on Tchaikovsky's violin concerto in D major. One can hear pieces of the 1st and 3rd movements. What Galneryus did was taking one masterpiece and transformed it into another masterpiece.
Once more demonstrating the correlation between classical music and metal.
Galneryus are the real deal. Syu the guitarist is in my opinion at the top of neo-classical guitarist in the world. And one of the best shredders I've seen. and he's been so since he first started his first band in the late 90s.
btw this video is only half of the song, the actual song is 15 minutes long.
Tchaikovsky must be overjoyed and very excited in heaven.

I managed a Music store for about 10 years. Sold instruments and gave lessons. I would put live concert DVD's on the TV all the time for people to watch while they were in the store. Galneryus was a constant on the rotation. No matter what, they were there lol. The best comment I heard from someone was the Guitarist (SYU) was so good that it both inspired people to play and practice more or just want to quit lol.
The next one you should check out should definitely be "The force of courage" (live) by them. Another incredible, long song that will blow you away.

Well, let's be honest.
Pretty much every violin concerto (at least the fast movements) from the baroque to the modern era could be turned into an epic guitar solo.
Vivaldi, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Sibelius, Paganini, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, even Stravinsky
so much untapped potential
Some of this is literally Tchaikovsky violin concerto, the way they have adapted that into this is absolute genius

Syu is my favourite BUT a fun fact- back in the day he actually failed to cover well LOUDNESS' Solider of Fortune :D if You look up the cover Galneryus made of this song the guitar solo totally blows compared to the original, he didn't even attempted to play the hardest part.

the solo is very clean not just random notes and noise very nice to hear the first time i herad it like 8 or 10 years ago i remember i hear multiple time the solo part because i wasd thinking this is too good !

"That was soooo freaking bad@ss..." Yes classical music is bad@ss 😉 based on Tchaikovsky's violin concerto. That solo was almost note for note the solo violin part on the third movement! Best power metal band and SYU is what you would call a guitar god!

I'm a fan since August 2010, and they have never failed to amuse me again and again and again once they're releasing new album/songs. The album version(full song) of Angel of Salvation is 14++ mins longer than the MV version.
