Levrone and flex have both said they could’ve given more during their careers. Yates claims he didn’t miss a meal in 10 years. That was probably the difference, I’d class levrone and flex as more talented than Yates. Yates even said he regretted showing Kevin how to perform bent over rows correctly because the next time he Kevin onstage his back was insane.

Back in the day Dorian was like a mythical figure. All of a sudden he was just “ there”. He was everything a bodybuilder at that time wasn’t. This guy just pretty much stayed off the radar until it was time for Mr. O. Now that he is more known to the public I just admire him even more. The guy just has something special about him. When he speaks you just cannot stop listening. He’s right up there as one of the best of all time. For me a true inspiration, and a hell of an interesting guy. The Shadow!

Intense training does something special to the fascia over the muscles that increases separation. Jeremy Buendia trains only somewhat intensely and it already gives him great muscle separation and quality. Dorian trained much more intensely and on almost every set, so he got that crisp grainy look.

dorian didnt tear his arm muscles because of the style he used.He simply trained too heavy too close to the show, which was a strategy mistake. a bb wont add mass when is cutting and getting to very low BF and hydration levels, and he knew. But I guess even he had an ego
dunno about others who trained harder than him
most of the guys in the 90s were volume trainers-flex, ray
nasser and ronnie were similarly strong but had very sloppy form and used tons of partials so it dont count
cormier was a very hard trainer and even he when he went to do legs with yates he puked, so STFU

stronger but his form was looser
and actually ronnie admitted he didnt do crazy weights very often
he was a relativey high rep guy
so if they trained together the poundages used would be similar, but coleman would do more sets

When you compare the two champions Dorian Yates and Phil Heath even though Phil got a superior genetics Dorian Yates mindset is superior and his hunger to be great.Phil Heath is a great athlete but he's not a warrior like Dorian Yates.

People come from good family backgrounds this man had his ups and downs thought live, bin in turuball though his trauma and put all he had to give, that's what made this man a true worrier in the gym he gave it all to get were he did, mentally and physically conditioned in every way possible . Long live Yates
