But if you played it from 2013 on then the game will feel like it’s missing a lot of parts to it. But the people who run it now run it almost verbatim to how it was originally ran

It's important to be active in either the game and Community (both preferably since that marks a good penguin). It's always hard to say exactly what to do, but a new POTW gets announced every Monday.
