Hi @TheRealKRUE , thanks for the question. Where I'm crabbing they have to be out by one hour after sunset on Mondays, which is the end of the weekly crabbing slot. Per WA state: Port Susan/Everett - Area 8-2 Marine Area 8-2 - Ports Susan and Gardner Status: LIMITED SEASON Days open: Thursday - Monday only Season dates: Open from July 1 through September 2, Thursdays through Mondays only. (Tuesdays and Wednesdays are closed.) Statewide gear rules (crab, shrimp, crawfish) Report derelict fishing gear NOTE: All crab fishing gear must be removed from the water by one hour after sunset on the last day of any fishing period. Crab fishing gear may not remain in the water on closed days.
Just curious as to the bait in your crab pots have you tried an opened tin of cat food or oily sardines or similar fish. Some have also used the frame of a roast chicken the oils work great as a burley for fishing.
Man I wish I had a boat to get out there. I just usually go to Edmonds pier or Bellingham pier. Lol But my daughter and I do ok. Just looks like so much fun out there.
Thanks for the comment Dorian. The water is where I go to relax. When you fish from the piers do you drop crab pots or use the snares on poles? I've always thought that would be fun to try out.
@@StabicraftontheSound we use pots mostly. But my daughter has a little clam style crab trap she does great with. We are at the Mukilteo pier right now. Lol
Ive tried the long soaks. Very not worth it. Either u get robbed or the crabs eat all the bait and leave. First pot 2 hrs MAX. then 15 minutes after. Secret tip: the sound of crabs eating attracts other crabs. Once uve drawn them in its a feeding frenzy.
Thanks for the video. Newly subscribed. Would you mind sharing the inside dimensions on the box you are putting your crabs in? Is it a livewell or a fish box?
Hello again, I'm finally getting back to filming and working on my channel again. It's been a crazy couple of years, but I'll be back out filming and posting regularly.
Common men you are the only person whos more videos about stabicraft boat owner. Theres so many people out there with stabi videos but on a couple 5 videos then they stop filming
Tides are most important factor, You need slack tide , I can catch from the shores of Victoria, Nanaimo and Metro Vancouver British Columbia no problem ,
Not normally, but I do have a co worker thats buys some from me on occasion. I normally clean, cook, and deliver five for around 120-140. Store prices at the moment where I live are around $16.99/lb for a whole cooked dungeness.
I've crabbed and fished the Puget Sound for years...Dungeness and Ling cod, you just can't beat it. Great video

Did you notice the 24 hour soak turned to 18. He even titled it with 24 hour soak.
I love the fact your videos are straight forward and shows how your boat moves, very informative, perfect. Thank you!
Do you sell your crabs? If so how much do they go for?

@@StabicraftontheSound what happened to your vlog? You stop
Illegal to sell catch unless u have $600,000 commercial license
Are your pontoons foam filled?
According to a video I saw that was put out by Stabicraft, all boats shipped to the USA are required by law to have foam filled pontoons.
I average about 3o keepers per hour with a single pot half that size. You need to stick to the mangroves. You're way too far out
lol, dude if you're about to bust out a heart attack pulling up those pots then get one of those motorized pullers.
Freshness bait jack knob. Your not very good at crabbing. Just buy em at Safeway and save the gas ⛽
