Damn, it took me a minute to figure that one out! Also I thought it was probably 17/4 despite the clear 17-quaver loops but after seeing your comment and counting, it is really 17/8. In the intro and the section at 2:22 (during which there is that click playing crochets just to fuck with you) there are instruments playing crochets, creating cross-rhythms, but aside from that, every instrument is sticking to 17-quaver bars.
By having no clear off-beat, they've made the downbeats quite well-concealed so you can still dance in time as if the time signature were x/4. Very clever.

I know everyone here actually admires Noisia for what they are, but i'm 10000% sure they are going to be way more appreciated in the future. I don't think we're in the place to comprehend their contribution to electronic music yet

Love the Bulgarian folk instruments at the background during the first part (or at least sounds like Bulgarian bagpipes). Insane track!
Noisia have always made whatever they’ve wanted to. They don’t follow the trends, they just make whatever they’re into. I can’t say that I supported any of their more jump-up style stuff, recently, but l’ve always been a keen listener.
And this is exactly the kind of insanity I knew they were capable of producing. The sounds, style...everything is unique, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they made all of the sounds themselves. No packs. Every cymbal, every hi-hat, every kick...they’re doing some insane stuff right now
Well they do make most of the stuff themselves. Not everything, but yeah, most of it

@@MarkDanov Not that it even matters what they make or don't It's about how they arrange these sounds. Shit I mean that pad that comes in is a time stretched sample of Bulgarian folk music. Brilliant.
Love that this track doesnt screw around with a 2 minute build up. Simple intro and the drums jump right in.

It really does feel and sound like something falling down a hole, hitting the edges as it falls, and making something like that sound cool and pleasing to your ears is why noisia are the best
