y’all just didn’t understand his character, in the early seasons when James and Angela were together and when his club was popping you didn’t fr see alot of scenes where ghost was spending time w his kids and that’s when Tariq saw Kanan as more of a best friend/father figure/mentor cuz even tho Kanan was using him to get at ghost, he grew a certain love for Tariq hence why he killed his own cousin to save him, if Ghost was always there and kept his dick in his pants and stayed w Tasha none of this would’ve happen. me personally i related to Tariq cuz i grew up in a single parent home and when that dads not there it definitely fucks with your head
I never understood why ghost was so big on wanting revenge on Dre but didn't blame Kanan for teaching tariq the game. Kanan is the one who messed tariq up not dre
EXACTLY!!!!!!!! I did not understand that either 🤷🏽♀️ for as smart as Ghost was for him to blame Dre for his son becoming twisted up andd corrupted was beyond what I could understand but it came out of his own guilt because if he blamed Kanan who (TURNED OUT) his son he would've had to own that HIS betrayal was WHY Kanan came at Tariq in the first place but Ghost couldn't accept the truth he rather lie to himself deny the truth blame and kill Dre when it's really because of him that Kanan targeted Tariq and it's because of Kanan that Tariq became so effed up as Tasha told him... and then Ghost rather beat his son instead of taking his anger all out on Kanan the man who made his son that way and involved him into crime 🤦🏽♀️
Ghost should blame himself for taking away kanan position and 10 years of his life. Kanan is not the forgiving type so he use tariq to help get revenge on ghost and it work in the end. You can't expect that kanan who loved ghost like his was big brother to be okay with ghost setting them up and putting them in prison for a very long time. Any logical person would agree that everyone would want revenge if that happened to them.
Scenes like this show you why Ghost & Tariq had to go face to face with one of them having to go. Ghost stop being a father to this boy awhile ago & Tariq stopped caring awhile ago. Sooner than later Tariq was going show Ghost how he really felt. Just a matter of time

@@lm4733 it doesn't matter at all, just because Ghost bought tariq nice toys, shoes and games doesn't mean he was really there for tariq, the man was always out either on the streets or at truth.

Guess ghost started trusting kanan given that they were working with eachother again and it reminded him of the past. When kanan actually did die, ghost was pretty upset about it. It almost seems liek he felt as though he can go back to what it was before
I feel like even though kanan hated ghost for setting him up he also still had love for him, the same goes for ghost. I mean kanan brought him up like a brother and he brought tariq up like a son I feel like if he killed either one of them he would feel upset to
They had too much history. Neither of Tommy/Ghost had a father figure as teens so Kanan basically raised them. The moment they had when they robbed Tommy stash house was that epiphany for both of em
Funny thing is Kanan and Dre weren’t responsible for this. Kanan only had Tariq doing licks with him and Tariq keep doing it after the fact. Dre told Tariq he would handle Ray-Ray and had motive to want to k*ll him since Ray-Ray was blackmailing him. It was 100% Riq’s fault.
Tariq: What would you have done, if you were me, pop?" Ghost: What would I have done? Me: I would've wanted to know what was Ghost going to do to Tariq, before Tasha sent him to his room.

I hate Tariq so much. He’s such a punk. Ghost and Tasha were pretty shiity parent’s too, but Tariq had all the opportunities to be something more and still embraced a life of crime just to be like his daddy and got his sister killed.
Rewatching Tariq really not even stupid like we thought. He’s misguided. Both Kanan and then Tasha poisoned his mind. He had resentment toward Ghost for leavin his mom which was normal but if they wasn’t in his head talkin shit bout Ghost he probably would’ve come around
Dre would had never called Kanan about Ray Ray. Because one, he was still hiding from him and avoiding him. That's why him and Cristobal sent those Tainos to take care of him
Lol you're right though I can't imagine a new york drug lord who's at the top of the game being verbally abused by their child but hey it is a fictional show after all
@@Islam_is_the_truth.4Um noooo Ghost was the one who was verbally and physically abusive towards his son which ofc only made Tariq hate him even MORE! and for what was shown by Ghost from S3-6 all of Ghost's physical actions and his threats only taught his son to be violent towards him which we saw in the finale when Tariq pointed a gun at his father Ghost brought that dark side outta of Tariq by always being physical with him.
@@Islam_is_the_truth.4 Nah what?! yanking up grabbing up pushing shaking up and slamming yo young teen on a wall slamming them on a table and pinning them down is physically abusive which is hurtful toxic and emotionally damaging ... Ghost did all of those actions to Tariq Courtney Kemp said it was the physical side to Ghost's relationship with Tariq that reached a breaking point with Tariq and it also played a part in why he saw his father as a monster / a threat that he had to protect himself and his mother away from also Tariq was disrespectful to his father because he lost respect for him because of his actions with Angela that broke up his family and instead of Ghost realizing that he instead got angry and wanted to beat Tariq as if that would've made his son started respecting him... and yes Ghost did grow his son's violent side by his physical actions and threats I mean it's only so many times parents can get physical with their teens before the teen gives it right back.
True... but he was showing his Ghost traits impatient angry lost his temper yelling hit a table and then got physical grabbed up Tariq and almost beat him.
In the end this was Tasha and James fault , thru both put “ the business “ over their kids , James saw Angela and neglected his responsibilities to an extent , Tasha never let ghost walk away like he had been trying to do since season 1! Raina was the beauty and Tariq became the beast
Also I’m sick of Tasha always tellin the kids to “go to their room” girl - do you have any other lines??? 🙄 she and tariq are literally the worst characters on this show. And then expecting tariq not to call his dad Ghost but you screaming “Ghost!” All up in the house like it’s nothing 😒 girl sit down ur annoying
It makes me mad that Tasha always has some bad things about Kanan when Kanan was the one that save Tariq's life like come on at least give him some good credit bc if it wasn't for him he wouldn't have killed Jukebox & he would've let her kill Tariq so Tasha should be grateful that her son is still alive but Tariq deserves some of the blame too bc if he wouldn't went outside or something Raina would've still been alive & the St Patrick family wouldn't never split apart 💯
Noooo! the St Patrick family was split / broken up after Ghost left his penthouse and moved in with Angela in S3 ep 1 ... and Tasha had every right to be angry with Kanan to the point of wanting him DEAD! why?! because Kanan targeted HER SON! Kanan twisted up HER SON! Kanan TURNED OUT HER SON! to the streets Kanan corrupted HER SON! into a life of crime... Kanan introduced HER SON! to Ray Ray which he did because he was running game on Tariq a 14 year old innocent teen boy who was green to the game while hurt and angry by all of (his father's actions) that broke up his whole family broke his mother's heart and then almost got him beat for calling Angela a side bitch like If it wasn't for Kanan Tariq wouldn't of even knew Ray Ray drinking lean or been doing criminal activities so him saving Tariq from Jukebox and telling Tommy he was after Ray Ray was the least he could do like Tasha told him in S5 ep 2 if it wasn't for him Tariq wouldn't of been messing with Ray Ray in the first place he'd still be a good kid and Raina would still be alive also that if he didn't bring Tariq Into the life he wouldn't of had to save him and he doesn't get no MF points for cleaning up a mess HE MADE! and she was right even Tommy told Kanan Tariq wouldn't of been around Ray Ray if he didn't introduce them and told him to stop messing with his nephew everybody called out Kanan for twisting Tariq all the way up everybody besides Ghost he rather blame Dre the person he made his son's babysitter 🤦🏽♀️ Kanan wanted re revenge on Ghost so bad that he didn't care who he had to ruin to get it he did realize things went too far but it was too late he shouldn't of used Tariq as a pawn to get back at Ghost at all like okaee you got beef with Ghost that's fine but take it up with him not his son who did nothing to be targeted turned out and almost killed 2 times... so why wouldn't Tasha blame Kanan?! Kanan was the one that wrapped Tariq up into his father's past betrayal but if he would have left the kid alone Tariq doesn't spiral out of control and Raina doesn't die Tariq's street corruption and Raina's death all traces back to Kanan twisting up a young easily influenced rebellious angry teen boy Tasha saw the truth none of the things would've happened if Tariq never got close to Kanan who he got close to after feeling abandoned by his father ... Tasha knew her son spiraled out of control lashing out made bad choices and emotional decisions which indirectly played a part in her daughter's death and she also knew her son was a young teen who made a lot of mistakes what teen doesn't?! he didn't know Ray Ray and Destiny set up him and he also didn't know Raina followed him after he left their school dance because he didn't know Raina's death was out of his control it's not fair to put all the blame on a 15 yr old teen boy and not put anything on Kanan who taught Tariq to be a criminal and Ghost for not killing Kanan after betraying him with jail... Tasha is a mother and a parent and Kanan sealed his own fate messing with Tariq you don't mess with a mother's child after Kanan corrupted her son Tasha would get her revenge in the end she was never going to let Kanan get away with what he did to Tariq all to destroy Ghost but even so Kanan was the root to a lot of what happened his revenge plan against Ghost destroyed the family through the indirect actions by Tariq.
Because his father would've beat him if he found out his son was doing criminal activities like Ghost (almost did in this scene)... but was saved by his mother which traces back to why Tariq asked Raina not to tell their mother he was in trouble because she would have told their father and he would have been exposed and dragged which he tried to avoid but it still almost happened anyways.
Tariq “what you’ve done if your where me pop” Ghost would’ve the done the same exact thing as tariq he was on his way to kill ray ray tariq just beat him to it .

The power sequal has good writers, however Omari is so talented, his character became more significant than the direction of the sequel. Killing ghost meant killing Power. And while Power Book 2 may have a great following, its all under the shadows of Omari's character James St Patrick. When the talent has more influence than the director, they get replaced. Now the worst actor on cast has became the star.
You absolutely right
Omari didn't want to play Ghost anymore
Imo book 2 kinda saved power because of the last 5 episodes. They were pretty solid
I agree but book 2 can still be a good ass show if they keep developing characters and keep the pacing and the actor for Tariq definitely improved .

Noooo! the St Patrick family was split / broken up after Ghost left his penthouse and moved in with Angela in S3 ep 1 ... and Tasha had every right to be angry with Kanan to the point of wanting him DEAD! why?! because Kanan targeted HER SON!
Angela WAS right about 1thing. Tariq SHOULD have told his mom, dad, and/or Uncle Tommy. Why didn't he anyway?
Because his father would've beat him if he found out his son was doing criminal activities like Ghost (almost did in this scene)... but was saved by his mother which traces back to why Tariq asked Raina not to tell their mother he was in trouble because she would have told their father and he would have been exposed and dragged which he tried to avoid but it still almost happened anyways.
