Note to any new warriors: Nascent Flash and Raw Intuition/Bloodwhetting heals yourself not only from using an attack ability, it heals you for every hit, meaning you can literally use it at 10% HP and if you´re being hit by a lot of mobs just do a single aoe to heal yourself to 100%. So, get crazy with those pulls, you won't die. I love warrior for bozja, eureka, dungeons, raids, etc. it´s a great tank-dps-healer :)
No joke though, just Tanking cured mine, specifically, I got put into a position where I found I could easily solo the last boss of a dungeon after the party went down. Went from Tank Anxiety directly to Main Tank, did not pass go, still collected my $200
just a sprout as warrior, but gonna say warrior has a very forgiving rotation due to how long inner release and infuriate last and the more reactionary cooldowns rather than preparatory
Paladin has more straight up damage mitigation for themselves and allies than warrior and is the only tank with ranged damage that’s actually useful besides getting aggro and it’s aesthetic (to me personally) is cooler cause you get Divine/Holy magic. Also the only Tank with a dedicated heal for themselves or allies that’s not connected to attacking or a cooldown. Warrior has more health regeneration and restoration (especially now), fewer skills to master, and does more damage. Also it’s easier to gear for because it only has 1 weapon instead of Paladin needing a Sword & Shield
paladin excels at off tanking but takes a lot of levels to get all it's tools (gap closer at 72 lol) while warrior is a maintank that fend for itself also there are some "axes" that look like hammers if you like that
About Nascent Flash, your weaponskills also heal you, not just your party member. Also both Raw Intuition, Bloodwhetting and Nascent Flash heal you per target hit with your weaponskills, which is what makes Warrior such a god in dungeons
Just gonna Ley it down here, no need to read Between the Lines. What really lifts my Umbral Soul out of a pit of Despair is hearing you Transpose a class guide into a bite-sized video. It seems to be a Paradox among other XIV videos. Though it Scathes me to say, my knowledge of a certain caster class is likely not as much a Font as yours. Hearing that black mage would be the next idiot's guide Fired me up, the Foul Thundercloud of doubt cast away as if by Aetherial Manipulation. Uhhh.... Xenoglossy.
My Warrior hotbar(s) got all screwed up and I had to re-make them, and I didn't remember my rotation or what abilities I had where. This helped jog my memory a bunch. Thanks so much! :)
new to the game and wanted to thank you for giving me an edge to this class before starting game play. This will be the first job class I will max. Again thank you and love you content, energy and a great voice.
if anyone is unsure if the should pick up warrior or not let me add this. it has enough sustain to be able to solo maps, the map that has the portal to The Excitatron 6000 to be specific... and while not at all accurate, thats a map thats says it recommends an 8 player party
I used to go paladin for elegance, but now I’m married and have a kid, so bring on the Chaotic Cyclone. I already shake all sorts of sh*t off on a daily basis.
im level 51 and keep dying at Operation Archon, the final phase of the boss keeps spamming all hist attacks that fill the entire arena and kill me..wtf? i got gear and even some materia enhanced gear with 5k+ health...i saw yt videos of players beating this boss with like 2k health. i dont understand
lead the mofo away from the center of the arena, but not too close to the edge. it'll give you some breathing room for his seemingly "arena-wide" AoE's. also practice dodging the AoE and dont be too afraid to let go of some DPS for survivability. manage your mitigation and don't forget food and potions exist for a reason.
Completely new to FFXIV and I’m at a point where I’m “supposed” to unlock warrior. My marauder is level 31, I’ve finished the last class quest (something Pride) and I still haven’t unlocked warrior. I asked in chat and they said something about a soulstone, which I don’t have. I’m only level 17 in the MSQ too. Do I need to progress further in the MSQ or am I missing something completely.
You need to unlock Warrior. It's required. You'll find your Job Quests in Limsa Lominsa if you haven't already, and you get those every 3-5 levels. But since you're only level 17 in MSQ you need to advance that to 30 to reach that point. You're outleveling the MSQ which is fine it happened to me, but you're at the point that people are noticing, and when you do dungeons you need to have your level appropriate skills. Focus on your MSQ for now, and then make sure to find and do any Job Quests you need. A lot of your skills are gated behind those.
I don't want to sound super mean or anything like that I hope I don't but as a new player who recently just became 30 on my first class as a marauder/warrior I feel like this idiot's guide is not very idiot / beginner friendly you pretty much just read off all the stats of the abilities which I could have done myself and didn't really explain anything too well as if I knew what everything meant if that makes sense
Umm after all of that you didn't even mention what Fell Cleave does did you? I may have missed it but I doubt it the way you shouted when you mentioned it
Actually looking forward to the DRG redux, myself. I just started around Endwalker release, and not seeing Dragon Install-I mean Blood of the Dragon after watching your guide kinda threw me off. It's really streamlined from before the fact, apparently.
Could u do a video that i can show my gf? She wants to play FF14 but she doesnt understand the terms like damage negate, or heal over time, ect. Maybe make a video where you run a dungeon and your commentary explains why you use this move at that time (using easy words lol)
Top 5 reasons to play warrior
1. Too angry to die
2. Fel cleave
3. Too angry to die
4. Too angry to die
5. Too angry to die
6. Too-

WAR did genuinely cure my tanxiety 👍🏼
Same but only when i play it
I lvld DRk first. Had to much anxiety to even play it after hitting 90. Lvling war fixed that lol
Yeah ive been playing pally an tanking just dungeons but yeah raids an the extremes are pretty scary hahaha so maybe warrior will fix that
No joke though, just Tanking cured mine, specifically, I got put into a position where I found I could easily solo the last boss of a dungeon after the party went down. Went from Tank Anxiety directly to Main Tank, did not pass go, still collected my $200
@@jakemccracken5860 😂
Thank you so much for creating a short, to the point, yet perfectly clear guide!
Torn between this and paladin for my first tank, on one hand I don't like axes, on the other hand I like how strong Warrior seems to be
it really boils down personal taste. I started as a paladin because I also wanted to use spells
just a sprout as warrior, but gonna say warrior has a very forgiving rotation due to how long inner release and infuriate last and the more reactionary cooldowns rather than preparatory
The rotation on pld is a bit more complex to learn imo but pick whichever you like the most

And boring easily the most boring tank

Gold
As a BLM, this made me smile
Ah warrior, my favourite healer class
My Warrior hotbar(s) got all screwed up and I had to re-make them, and I didn't remember my rotation or what abilities I had where. This helped jog my memory a bunch. Thanks so much! :)
Unga bunga! 👹 Tys for the great guides as usual btw.
Awsome thank you! Fell cleave!!!

FELL CLEAVE
Badass skill but honestly since 6.2 I been digging DRK
I love my Paladin, but Warrior sound like a BEAST. I'm going to give it a try.
Me eagerly awaiting the gunbreaker guide :D
I just need to tell you how fucking helpfull those videos are!
I saw a warrior and i was like.. "I wanna do that!". So i went to megastar's guide and then i was like "I'm still a idiot".
I used to go paladin for elegance, but now I’m married and have a kid, so bring on the Chaotic Cyclone. I already shake all sorts of sh*t off on a daily basis.
so underrated

It's a job quest in Loma limsana in the headquarters. You dothe quest pride an get the soul stone
You should make a glamour guide
So the stronger warrior gets the more they become the healer?
WHM: I Heal the Party
Warrior: No Friend, WE HEAL THE PARTY!
Link to the hotbar image is dead 😭
would love to see AST or GNB soon
WAR really is kinda op huh? So when is the Class comparaion guides? xD
Man it seems like I chose a first starter class! The damage I can do as warrior is actually crazy.
I’m still smirking at MCH pew pew pew :)
Umm after all of that you didn't even mention what Fell Cleave does did you? I may have missed it but I doubt it the way you shouted when you mentioned it

oh so warrior is a healer.

a good way to think about it is to imagine a lalafell whm taped to the axe
Blue healer
lol great video
Actually looking forward to the DRG redux, myself. I just started around Endwalker release, and not seeing Dragon Install-I mean Blood of the Dragon after watching your guide kinda threw me off. It's really streamlined from before the fact, apparently.
pld's have war's beat on not dying
mabey but whats more fun, being better at staying alive or being able heal from 1 to 90k hp in one weapon skill if you have enough enemies xD
Could u do a video that i can show my gf? She wants to play FF14 but she doesnt understand the terms like damage negate, or heal over time, ect. Maybe make a video where you run a dungeon and your commentary explains why you use this move at that time (using easy words lol)
so Warrior is bascially
One Man Army
