I actually did a Zangetsu only run without killing any ally. Not even a no-damage run, and it was already really difficult. (I wish that at least an achievement was unlocked by doing so. So sad it doesn't)
no, it’s the “first”. CotM is a prologue/bonus game that was made as a kickstarter bonus for the main game, Ritual of the Night. Bloodstained is the actual spiritual successor to Castlevania. Hence why this game is basically Castlevania 3.
