Thanks for Watching! If you're new to the channel, Welcome! I know that recoil smoothing is a very confusion subject but hopefully all your questions can be answered below... If you're confused about anything in the video I recommend a few things: 1) Check the description. I have a brief explanation about some common questions about recoil smoothing there! 2) Check the discord where I explain the math behind how Torje found 3.7 degrees per second. Understanding this may help clarify any questions! 3) Watch Torje's original video! Torje is the person who discovered recoil smoothing and actually named it "recoil smoothing" in the first place! 4) Lastly, try re-watching the video. I talk pretty fast and the video is very fast paced so re-watching might also help clarify any confusing parts! Don't be afraid to ask any questions in the comments or in the discord! Thanks again for watching, it truly means a lot ❤ - Frank
Can u explain how the worst internet slows your speed? I face almost every day sometimes my internet performs better my movement is like a charm but most of time dead slides, and enemy fire on me because I am too slow than the normal player, My movement looks like someone pull from me behind or I run on the sticky surface.
I somehow got this in my recommended just now, and I was curious to see how people interpreted my original information and conveyed it further. I was pleasantly surprised, you seem to have a really solid understanding of recoil smoothing, which unfortunately can't be said about most videos on the subject! Thanks for the effort you put into this.
found this on yt on the recommendations. I just learn how to play on roller for a week and had been relearning to play the game ever since. This video breaks down mirroring and anti-mirroring a lot more so you would know when to use what. Very underrated channel. Great video!
can't believe i never thought of mirror strafing at long distances, i've always struggled at long range even while jitter aiming, prob because i always anti mirror strafed subconsciously
We all know not to stand still while shooting and end up anti-mirroring making hitting shots harder if we don't make a conscious effort to mirror our target. This is the premise to strafe aiming which I'm going to make a video about soon!
That's some darn tootin' good maths you did there Mr. Pesky Frank, glad I have someone like you to crunch all these numbers so I don't have to! SO CLUTCH. If I hear recoil smoothing one more time...
So underrated channel.... i am going to practise i hope i will get better, i am stucked at gold1(platinium Iv) i am new on controller only about 500 games 😢😅
Yeah recoil smoothing definitely only helps for close range fights. But for long range fights the best recoil tip I can give is practice, practice and more practice! It's not the answer anybody wants to hear but unfortunately learning the recoil general pattern of each specific gun and lots of practice is the best tip I can give! Hope this helps!
My problem is the game will allow me to get damage but as soon as I'm about to get a knock I start to miss the opponent gets away and I get knocked myself... I literally will have a guy one shot and all of a sudden they melt my health... Like WTF
I am doing this exact thing but my gun still has recoil? Trust me I’m doing the exact steps I have 1000+ hours in this game and even when I try to do it sanding still with my reticle moving pretty fast I still get recoil. Is there some setting I’m missing because it’s annoying me
I don't jitter aim because it exploits an intended game mechanic (recoil smoothing) to give an unfair advantage and it's impossible for controller players to jitter aim. I have no problem with movement tech like supergliding and zipline super jumping because controller players can do it to. Jitter aiming takes the skill of recoil control completely out of the game and I want to be challenged!
Why didnt i find this a year ago 🤣 i been the firing ramge tryna get like the streamers and at close to med range i look like i have a zen but after that 🤣 my thumb stops working
Im not trynna hate but every video about recoil control is recoil smoothing its helpful but i want to know how to actually controll it. i see people one clip standing still and theres no videos about it
It's all good Name, and your right! Most videos just talk about recoil smoothing and not about how to recoil control. If you want ACTUALLY learn how to recoil CONTROL you'll need to learn each of the weapon's specific recoil PATTERN. Every gun has a different recoil pattern so you'll need to learn these pattern to master recoil control! I have separate videos on a bunch of different gun's recoil patterns so check out thise videos on my channel! I hope this helps, and Welcome to the channel!!
Practice, practice, practice... Unfortunately there isn't any trick I can give you but if you can't activate recoil smoothing you just need to practice that recoil pattern!
Buy a Cronus. The people you see do that are either already in ALGS and play the game more than you could ever hope to, or they bought a Cronus to pump out content (High Kill/DMG games) Sad truth, but the truth nonetheless.
You're probably close to the maximum range of recoil smoothing. Most likely you just need to practice a little recoil control and you'll get it! Hope this helps! Welcome to the Channel!
can you make a video on how to mantle jump. have some trouble either I just straith up after the mantle or go down. Only make one out of 50 or so haha plzz
@@PeskyFrank thanks a lot cant wait for it. been trying to learn it last two days and still make mistakes. I know you explain it better than anyone brother.

Y’all do understand that he’s on a mouse and keyboard. How’s he going to tell somebody that plays on controller what the f**k to do?! Remember you can overclock your controller on PC and do way more on PC cause you will have 0 input delay.
Don't read too much in these sort of videos, most streamers are running a Cronus zen with scripts that's why they have no recoil. I've seen streamers beam players with an r_99 with a X2 across the map with no recoil.
That's just not true Funiz. Most streamers and pro players have literally 1,000s of hours in Apex Legends. Pro players having more than 4,000 hours in the game. They've spent countless hours mastering recoil patterns and recoil smoothing in the range. Also, most of the MnK players come from CSGO which have much harder recoil patterns than apex legends. Of course some people out there do use cheats but 99% of pro players and top streamers don't cheat. Please don't think just because there are really good players out there that automatically they're cheating. Hard work and practice can yield amazing results! If you put 1,000s of hours in the game I think your recoil control would be just as good!
@@PeskyFrank a lot of people have put time into apex and other countless BRs, I myself have played about 5 BRs before I came to apex, when Cronus wasn't out you could tell a good player from a bad one, now you can't as everyone has a Lazer aim,and people only started having a Lazer aim when Cronus came out. It's ripe on all BRs,even in competitive tourneys. I know this is your job to put these videos out but most people are running a Cronus in today's BRs, and don't even get me started on streamers using VPNs.
It's really hard to differentiate AA from a cronus especially when just watching a stream. But pro players who have competed at LAN where there are admins there to inspect all the hardware while playing, none of these guys are cheating because they're just as good at LAN as they are on stream. People call this being "LAN proven" because everybody knows they don't cheat. I just don't like people saying "most streamers cheat" because that's false. 80% of these 'cheating streamers' are LAN proven players. I just think you missed the point of my video which was to show an intentional IN-GAME mechanic that Respawn added to eliminate recoil and explain how people seem to have 0 recoil up close.
Recoil control is hard but after a few hours in the firing range, it becomes muscle memory. I am a person that spends more time in the firing range than br
I havent watched the video yet but recoil smoothing should only be used if you are standing still. If you have room to strafe left and right the game has a hidden feature where if you shoot while strafing you get way less recoil.
i really don't think it's eaier on controller, i don't play apex on pc at all; main acc is on console and out of my 5 seasons of controller (yes i practice) i can still aim better on kbm

To me recoil control is so difficult on controller because I feel like I have to do the most sudden movements to control my gun
Try to visualize the recoil pattern while shooting! This takes time to master but helps a lot with recoil control!

Recoil smoothing is useful but at longer ranges i find myself jitter aiming it just feels more accurate
