A Great Rig for Bluefish on Shackleford Banks

- Today, we leave Oak Island and take a trip to visit the mother-in-law down near Shackleford Banks. Shackleford Banks is a barrier island and sort of a tourist trap/camping spot for folks to collect shells. The water taxi will take you from Beaufort to the island in about 20 minutes but the fishing could be worth the trip. In this video, we will fish the best of Shackleford Banks as well as take a look at the rig we use to catch blues. The key to this video is that the rig we will demonstrate will work on Shackleford, Oak Island, or any place blues are caught.

Staying here on oak island at my girlfriends beach house until sunday, on the beach right across from the beach pantry, long time viewer, would be awesome to see you out in the surf!

I'll be going down to OKI in 2 weeks. Mainly surf fishing 69th street or the point. Any other areas you recommend? Any luck fishing Caswell beach? Any species to target that are biting then? Thinking having my 12' rods run drum rigs with mullet and fish bites.
I've not fished Caswell from the surf but have fished just off shore from a boat. Big drum near the hot hole.
