I think I know what Joe is talking about when he says he looked up to someone and wished to get closer and be like them and then the closer you got to them they just end up being assholes or dumb af. Then you become better than them mentally, physically and financially. It motivates you to become better and not really set anyone as an idol. Everyone is just human. A lot good and bad in everyone.

For me the person the made the biggest impact in my life was my 7th and 8th grade teacher. Mr. DAVID Allan He is an English teacher, and a great one. If not the best He got my class together and made us closer. He was understanding and patient Everything he taught me and my class about writing and anything English class related, we were able to find useful in college and highschool
I agree with a lot of them I had a lot of teachers that really help me mold me into the person I am today. Besides my parents, I'll never forget their names and always remember how much they believed in when I didn't even believe in myself. And my last serious relationship. He helped me grow into a better person. I'll always be grateful for him too.
Did Mr. Tarpley transfer to Haskell? Cause he was Assistant Principal for me 20 years ago too. Caught me tagging on campus & suspended me but he also encouraged me to pursue design. I'm a Videogame Dev now. If it's the same Mr. Tarpley, that's pretty rad and he's a cool dude. 💯
