My thoughts on the the Final (First Round) Matt For his first song Matt takes on a Katy Perry classic and really belts the song with his extraordinary powerful vocals. He really sounds like he's celebrating his achievement for making it to the final. One Direction The song that proved them worthy for the live shows for a group that haven't been together that long. They sung that song just as good as they did at Simon's house if not better with much improved vocals, and Harry being a great lead vocalist. Rebecca So far and up to this moment, Rebecca picked her songs wisely, and this song suited her voice, just like butter goes with bread. She was able to take this classic and make it sound like it was her own rendition and not a replica of the original. *Who I think should have made it to the second round of the final* Don't want to pick the lucky two and would leave it in the hands of the public, but in my opinion One Direction should have been one of the two. *One Direction's X Factor Journey* It's become a tradition and something that was done from series 4 onwards, rejected boys or girls at bootcamp are handpicked and formed into groups. Simon chose to take both manufactured groups to the live shows with him to the live shows. Belle Amie left early in the live shows, while One Direction progressed and it looked like they would win. It goes without saying that the boys worked well together and both wanted to win so badly, and with improvement after improvement with their performances, they probably were the most deserving. They are the most relevant for today's market and would sell in comparison to the two remaining finalists, but unfortunately they couldn't get enough votes from the public to win it. Still they should be proud they did so much to get so far and walk away with third place, and it was clear this was only the beginning for them. Even after the show, One Direction would go on to be the next big boyband in Britain, even bigger than the winner of that year.
