The internets was furious after Ted Cruz flew to Cancun Mexico with his family while Texas, the state he represents, deals with power outages, no gas, and and no water due to freezing temperatures. After four days without power, Texas hospitals face a loss of water pressure and heat.
In a statement, the senator said he was "wanting to be a good dad" by flying with his daughters as they went on a holiday while school was cancelled and the power was out - adding that he was flying back on Thursday afternoon.
So he basically blamed it on his daughters. Guess Ted’s not “Texas Tough”, wouldn’t you say?
