Love the video! interesting to see a professionals view on some gameplay mechanics. just to add, the injection at 2:24 is called a "CALOK-B hemostatic applicator" in the game and I dont know what it would be called IRL but I believe its intended to function similarly to wound seal because in the game it is used to stop "heavy bleeds" which would usually require a tourniquet
Quite a few of the injectors are meds from the ingame universe. The game itself is centered around a pharmaceutical group producing experimental drugs for combat purposes. Although they conducting illegal human trials, which led to conflict between their hired guns and Russian PMCs hired to investigate them. So some of the injectors provide increased stamina/strength, pain resistance, even regeneration of HP or preventing bleeding.

Also, on 2:22 - its a hemostatic injection, used to stop heavy bleedings. And a fun in-game mechanic - if you'll get your stomach injured, you'll be quickly losing your water and energy supplies, dehydrating and slowly dying. The most interesting thing in this game is that you don't have just one generic health bar and if it runs out you'll die. In Tarkov you have health of every body part (head, limbs, upper and lower torso), so if you, for example, fall from great height, you'll break a bone in the leg and can't normally run. For each injure need a right treatment, so you can't just put a bandage on broken leg, it won't help, or just eat something, no, you'll need a splint. Also, injuries hurt pretty bad and because of this you can't normally aim because of tremor, so you need to take an anastetic. If you got hit in the helmet it will cause contusion, so your vision will be blurred, nauseous and you'll hear worse for some time. If your limbs got destroyed (ran out of HP), you take serious damage on whole body and will take serious penalties, like when your hand is destroyed you'll use things for 50% longer, if legs - won't run etc. If head or upper torso is destroyed - death.

For the people that do not know tarkov and to give insight for all the names! -0:20 Autojector SJ6 used for stamina regen -0:52 painkillers and hemostat (for heavy bleeds) -1:23 is another autojector i cant see which one. -1:56 is a cms kit used for patching up blacked out limbs -2:50 is a bandage (no shit.. we all know) -3:13 is ibuprofen (painkillers) -4:05 a splint for fractures in game -4:32 is Vaseline (lipbalm) its a painkiller in game (dont ask) -5:25 is a Surv12 (its just a better CMS) -6:12 its a salewa its a medkit like a first aid kit used for healthing parts or patching bleeds -6:30 IFAK (first aid kit) its basically a salewa in game -6:50 its an Aluminum Splint it has 5 uses for broken limbs like the normal splint -7:14 is a Cat Tourniquet its used for heavy bleeds in game There is more meds in game but this is what I wrote down from the video.
1:16 Those are painkillers. The limb is black because its "crippled". So using the limb for anything causes pain which slows down the character when aiming since its the arm. So its not healing, its just a temporary fix so the player can shoot correctly.
At 2:25 , the character is supposed to show they are using a "hemostatic applicator", which basically just puts a little cork of hemostatic gauze directly into a round, open wound from a gunshot, they don't really work on your chest or abdomen in real life and basically are just for arms and legs where you have muscle deep enough to put that cork in to help stop and slow bleeding
I think we should thank our doctor for giving vital advice just sitting in front of the monitor. Changed: I'm going crazy with how the doc is surprised by the weapon and its use.
5:00 This is hardly an MRE, most likely it is an IRP - an individual daily ration. Such are common in the Russian army, for example. The kit also includes a small taganok, tablets of dry alcohol and incredibly resistant to moisture and wind matches - you can warm up the food in any conditions.
4:20 This is a balm, they call it a ride in Russia, and this Balm helps to cope with pain in muscles and joints, eliminate runny nose and cough, relieve fatigue, soothes headaches, helps relieve dizziness, the effects of motion sickness, relieves itching in places of insect bite. The balm has a pleasant smell and is easy to apply to the skin. When applied to the skin, essential oils have a toning, warming and soothing effect.
I've tried MRE, but I have a different country version. It's a pretty high-calorie thing for a fighter physical form. However, I would not recommend eating it all the time. And not even so much because of the harmfulness as you just want variety over time. As it is, I would even say that it was possible to eat on it for a lifetime.

I think this would be an awesome one to revisit down the road after the medical system is explained a little further. It would be very informative to cover stuff like topical hemostats and combat stimulants and their side effects relative to the game (tremors, tunnel vision, etc.). Like, without knowledge of the items being used, the game doesn't show them very well beyond what he said in the video.
Just a small nerd detail. Time in Tarkov is dilated. 10 minutes is 1 hour in game, so you can do your magic doctor wizard math to scale up the effects of drugs and first aid application effectiveness.
The big bottle was ibuprofen, and the second to last item which was a red “bandage” was actually an aluminum splint which is used to fix fractured limbs in game
4:04 is immobilizing splint, use for when you treating with broken bone on the field. Probably made out of aluminum so you can fold it in to carry it easier but strong when fully fold out
You should probably know this before watching Tarkov healing animations doctor: in the game you have a few kinds of injuries, there's light bleeding which can be treated with bandages, heavy bleeding which requires tourniquets or hemostasis, broken bones need to be treated with splints (running with broken leg for example will make your character take damage and being unable to sprint), the pain character suffers from will also lead to moaning and heavy breathing which gives away your position and screen shaking so it's harder to shoot precisely, of course this can be temporarily removed with painkillers
For pain you have Analgin, Augmentin, Ibuprofen and Morphine, Vaseline, and Golden Star Balm. They remove pain effects such as ignoring broken limbs which you can't run or jump at normal height, or hold a gun steady. Double vision from pain and groaning from low health. Pain killers allow you to use your broken limbs but exerting them will still cause health loss. They quiet your character and temporarily allow near full use of limbs. They all take 1 slot in inventory. Analgin has 4 uses, take 3 seconds to use and last for 80 seconds, but it cost 19 hydration points. Augmentin is single use, takes 5 seconds to use. It give 5 energy points but takes 5 hydration points, and gives you pain relief for 150 seconds. It also boosts your immunity skill 1 point for 300 seconds. Ibuprofen is 15 use, at 5 seconds per use. Each use, uses 17 hydration points. Removes pain for 280 seconds, and removes concussion per use. Morphine is single use and takes 2 seconds to use. It costs 10 energy points and 15 hydration points. Relieves pain for 300 seconds and removes concussion. Vaseline can be used 6 times, and takes 6 seconds per use, it relieves pain for 300 seconds. It costs 9 energy points and 9 hydration points. Golden Star Balm has 10 uses, takes 7 seconds per use, relieves pain for 350 seconds, and removes concussion. It costs 19 energy points per use. IT also recovers energy and hydration 1 point every seconds for 5 seconds. During those 5 seconds your concussion is increased to 100%, and removes concussion after the 5 seconds. Light bleeds have 2 bandages, single use and double use bandages. Both take 2 seconds to apply, the later can be used to treat 2 light bleeds. They both take up one slot in inventory. Heavy bleed has 2 tourniquets and an injectable to stop bleed. They are all single slot in inventory. Esmarch is the red tourniquet used in the video, it is single use and takes 5 seconds to apply. CAT is also single use and takes 3 seconds to apply. Then there is Calok-B which injects a hemostatic agent to stop heavy bleeds. It has 3 uses per item and takes 3 seconds to use per use. There are 2 surgery kits both in the video. They can repair limbs and stomach if they lose all health points, your surgery skill can reduces use time and how much HP can be replaced once limb is restored. CMS kits take up 2 slots in inventory, have 5 uses per item, and take 16 seconds each use. Surv kits take up 3 slots in inventory, have 15 uses per item, and take 20 seconds per use. Also, it can be used to repair fractures if you do not have a splint, or if the limb is lost and fractured, you can use Surv kit to fix limb and repair fracture in one use instead of using CMS kit and a splint. Also using the Surv kit gives more hp back to the limb over CMS kit. Lastly, Med kits are multi function, but can only return Health points to limbs that have not zeroed out their health. AI-2 takes up 1 slot in inventory can return up to 100 HP, it takes 2 seconds per use until 100 HP is used. Car med kit takes up 2 slots in inventory, it has 220 HP, and takes 2 seconds per use. It also can stop light bleed, but cost 50HP, of the 220HP, per light bleed. IFAK takes up 11 slot in inventory, it has 300HP, and takes 3 seconds per use. It can stop light bleed for 30HP of the total 300HP of the kit. It can also stop heavy bleed, but costs 210HP of the 300HP. Salewa takes up 2 slots, it has 400HP, and takes 3 seconds to use. It can stop light bleeds, but costs 45HP of the 400HP. It can also stop heavy bleeds, but costs 175HP of the total 400HP. AFAK takes up 1 slot, it has 400HP, and takes 3 seconds to use. It can stop light bleeds costing 30HP of the 400HP. It can also stop heavy bleeds and costs 170HP of the 400HP. The Grizzly med kit takes up 4 slots in inventory, it has 1800HP, and takes 5 seconds to use. It can stop light bleeds for 40HP out of the 1800HP. It can stop heavy bleeds for 130HP out of the 1800HP. It can repair fracture for 50HP out of the 1800HP. It can also relieve concussion. There is a single use splint and a 5 use splint. They both take up one slot in your inventory. the single use one takes 5 secs to apply, the Alu splint takes 3 seconds. The other injectors have various uses and trade offs, but this was the basics for health in Tarkov.
Tarkov player here, I'm pretty sure that the first injector was an "SJ6" and is used for a stamina/endurance boost (not sure if it's a real thing but there are also adrenaline injectors), and the large capsules are in the middle are a higher dosage of ibuprofen for damaged limbs so you can walk faster on a bad leg or hold your gun steady while aiming down sights with a bad arm. 👍🏼
I ate a swedish MRE in my Military Youth Program. It was Vegitarian Bean Pasta. It was the best meal I ever ate, but that was probably just because I had been marching all day.
6:49 is another kind of immobilization splint. What make me curious is, broken bone patient when applying splint is immobilize too because he's in huge pain. The fact that he can still walk and run is funny
yes, at 3:30 he uses Ibuprofen, played TARKOV earlier, at 4:27, he uses vaseline. In tarkov, he gives a buff to regeneration. remembered the animation.
It would’ve been cool to see you cover the AI-2 medkit (Аптечка Индивидуальная or Individual first aid kit) it’s an old soviet medkit meant for civilian use, it has anti-radiation meds, anti-bacterial meds, nerve agent antidote and more inside. Pretty neat thing.
I never really thought about it but it makes alot more sense to just leave a bulletin a person if its like lodged in a bone creating no other problems. Might as well not risk cutting up the patient more and having to stitch up more all while they have been losing blood since god knows when before arriving to surgury destination
In this game they don't actually heal as such, they only take painkillers and things like that so that the wounds hurt less and they can use weapons better without it hurting.
Ironic that he mentioned the CAT tourniquets but it wasn't shown to him that exact item is useful in game. It's faster than alternative options to stop heavy bleeding but naturally single use (some items in game have multiple uses before they're exhausted).
I've eaten 18 Standard Issue US MREs and they are really good but MREs can last for up to 5 years or more when stored at a temperature of 75°F or less. Storage conditions and the age of the MRE can affect their taste, texture, and nutritional value. It is recommended to rotate them regularly and replace any beyond their expiration date.
i had one when i was a kid. my bff's dad came home with a few near expiration. so we went ''camping'' in the backyard and ate them. have to say quite decent.
5:00 Hello, Dr. Jordan Wagner! I'm from Russia and i want to say: I had two MREs from diffrent countries, Russian and American. There's a portable heater and special matches in Russian one and special heating bag in American one.
Блин им надо было показать название предметов и многие не показали, гемостатик или иньекторы. Интересно было послушать про иньекторы. Особенно хотел увидеть что он скажет по поводу Обдолбоса XD
Once I was getting a shot in the butt. Either the needle was defective or they jabbed me at a bad angle, and the whole sharp bit was deflected and bent almost 90°. They just got another one that worked fine, but for a brief moment, it was like I had real buns of steel. My Dad is a retired Marine, and occasionally brought home MREs. I don't know if it's the same now, but there was a heater pouch with powdered magnesium, iron and salt. Adding water creates a ton of heat, so the water boils. All the food came in separate pouches that you'd place in the boiling water. Alternatively, the heating pouch could be turned into a little bomb by adding too much water and sealing it. It'd make a nice bang and spray steam and boiling water all over the place. Most of the food looked disgusting, but tasted decent. Some were even pretty good.
New MREs still use the same combo of chemicals to heat. They get hot, but they don't quite boil. And yes, if you seal them they will explode due to the release of Hydrogen gas. The menus aren't bad for the most part but you get sick of eating them realy quick.
The absolute best turkey sandwich I've ever had in my life was when I was in the hospital. Granted I hadn't eaten for almost 3 days .. but at that moment. That sandwich was god tier. 😂

For the people that do not know tarkov and to give insight for all the names!
-0:20 Autojector SJ6 used for stamina regen
-0:52 painkillers and hemostat (for heavy bleeds)
-1:23 is another autojector i cant see which one.
-1:56 is a cms kit used for patching up blacked out limbs
-2:50 is a bandage (no shit.. we all know)
-3:13 is ibuprofen (painkillers)
-4:05 a splint for fractures in game
-4:32 is Vaseline (lipbalm) its a painkiller in game (dont ask)
-5:25 is a Surv12 (its just a better CMS)
-6:12 its a salewa its a medkit like a first aid kit used for healthing parts or patching bleeds
-6:30 IFAK (first aid kit) its basically a salewa in game
-6:50 its an Aluminum Splint it has 5 uses for broken limbs like the normal splint
-7:14 is a Cat Tourniquet its used for heavy bleeds in game
There is more meds in game but this is what I wrote down from the video.
1:16 Those are painkillers. The limb is black because its "crippled". So using the limb for anything causes pain which slows down the character when aiming since its the arm. So its not healing, its just a temporary fix so the player can shoot correctly.
4:00 this gold star type ointment
that balm... is crack lased vasaline basically in game gives you adrenaline and ignores pain for a short while
At 2:25 , the character is supposed to show they are using a "hemostatic applicator", which basically just puts a little cork of hemostatic gauze directly into a round, open wound from a gunshot, they don't really work on your chest or abdomen in real life and basically are just for arms and legs where you have muscle deep enough to put that cork in to help stop and slow bleeding
Which MREs have you tried?
wonder if he replies but heres mine. a dutch and french mre. the dutch was really meh but the french was :O it had duck paste
those frenchies sure know luxury mre. this was back in 08 tho. so no idea if they changed it much @@DoctorER

Tarkov players: man, if you don't know, don't bother, it's a real FISTING♂️ For true Dungeon Masters
The big bottle was ibuprofen, and the second to last item which was a red “bandage” was actually an aluminum splint which is used to fix fractured limbs in game
I would love for the doc to know what healing item is going to be applied
Большое спасибо вам за видеоролик мистер врач! ❤❤❤👍👍👍
the bandage at 6:52 is actually a splint, in game it removes the broken bone effect. to be precise this is the aluminum splint item
4:04 is immobilizing splint, use for when you treating with broken bone on the field. Probably made out of aluminum so you can fold it in to carry it easier but strong when fully fold out
да там еще дофига медицинских анимаций. Я все ждал когда он использует звездочку.

Nice reaction!
The other injectors have various uses and trade offs, but this was the basics for health in Tarkov.
dr should read and pin this. Well writed
@DoctorER
0:22 sj6 stimulant, for better performance at running
3:18 is ibuprofen
4:20 vaseline for painkiller effects
6:50 it's a splint
I'm pretty sure the ibuprofen and the Augmentin share the same animation

The Bottle of Pills where actually Iboprofine
yes, at 3:30 he uses Ibuprofen, played TARKOV earlier, at 4:27, he uses vaseline. In tarkov, he gives a buff to regeneration. remembered the animation.
Никита очень сильно запарился над тарковым. Лично не играл, но игра и анимации выглядят потрясно

Dude I watch your videos about other games and shows and now you do one of my favorite games lets go
2:22 it’s Celox-A. It’s a injectable hemostatic agent based on chitozan in a plunger format to be used in gunshot wounds
That bottle of pill at the Pill part was painkillers
The big red thing you called a bandage was a aluminum splint
Tarkov wow thank you I was very interested to see your reaction
It would’ve been cool to see you cover the AI-2 medkit (Аптечка Индивидуальная or Individual first aid kit) it’s an old soviet medkit meant for civilian use, it has anti-radiation meds, anti-bacterial meds, nerve agent antidote and more inside. Pretty neat thing.
You know a video is worthy when it features Wilford Brimley and Skeletor.
Man your expertise is so impressive, the fact that you guessed that the pills at 3:09 were ibuprofen pills without seeing the label is wild
Haha thanks!
@@DoctorERDr what would happen if you ingest entire bottle of Ibuprofen with Vodka or Soda? This is basically a must meds stuff in game 😂
We are the required part 2!
I never really thought about it but it makes alot more sense to just leave a bulletin a person if its like lodged in a bone creating no other problems. Might as well not risk cutting up the patient more and having to stitch up more all while they have been losing blood since god knows when before arriving to surgury destination
the bottle full of pills are ingame called augmentin and the syringe was the item called calock-b, for stopping heavy bleedings
Those reactions were as professional as asking a random dude from the streets lol “oh a bottle of pills”
Meals rejected by the enemy 😂😂😂
In this game they don't actually heal as such, they only take painkillers and things like that so that the wounds hurt less and they can use weapons better without it hurting.
Наконец то вы посмотрели эту замечательную игру! Наши соотечественники постарались над игрой!
Интересно почему в ролике моменты с забаговаными анимациями?
Ironic that he mentioned the CAT tourniquets but it wasn't shown to him that exact item is useful in game. It's faster than alternative options to stop heavy bleeding but naturally single use (some items in game have multiple uses before they're exhausted).
I play tarkov regularly. The bottle you spotted was indeed ibuprofen.
I learn so much from these videos
The headband at 6:49 is an aluminum splint for prefish
I've eaten 18 Standard Issue US MREs and they are really good but MREs can last for up to 5 years or more when stored at a temperature of 75°F or less. Storage conditions and the age of the MRE can affect their taste, texture, and nutritional value. It is recommended to rotate them regularly and replace any beyond their expiration date.
i had one when i was a kid. my bff's dad came home with a few near expiration.
so we went ''camping'' in the backyard and ate them. have to say quite decent.
@miciso666 That's impressive to me cause when MREs expire, the contents would go bad.
Oh doctor er dropped a new video , yeeeee
Hope you enjoyed this Escape from Tarkov reaction!
That was in fact Ibuprofane, you where spot on.
Yessss! Let's goo!
Yesterday I looked at your old reaction to Escape from Tarkov, lol

Hello, Dr. Jordan Wagner!
I'm from Russia and i want to say: I had two MREs from diffrent countries, Russian and American. There's a portable heater and special matches in Russian one and special heating bag in American one.
Was in the Hurricane Katrina disaster zone. We had to survive off of several boxes of MRE's that the military handed out.
Блин им надо было показать название предметов и многие не показали, гемостатик или иньекторы. Интересно было послушать про иньекторы. Особенно хотел увидеть что он скажет по поводу Обдолбоса XD
Кто то
The menus aren't bad for the most part but you get sick of eating them realy quick.
im needed more reactions
Док,ваши видео лучшие!
banger video i learned so much
There are 2 ways I've seen MREs heated. You either boil the bag, or you use a chemical heater to warm it up.

In tarkov there is several things to keep eyes on, there is broken bones, tremor, light/heavy bleeds etc and for every thing there is medication for it, i recommend you to study those debuffs in left top corner a lil bit before next video so u can say is broken bone/light bleed etc treated properly!
The big orange "bandage" is an Aluminium splint and the brown gray thing was also a splint
Something to note about tarkov is that it is set in a region with extremely advanced medical technology.
The Red thingy and the DARK Green one were actually against broken Bones Not against bleeding in itself, fun fact: CAT's are Part of the Game aswell
One game that would be great to look over is Blitz The League. Plenty of medical scenes to observe, loved the video
