It’s funny how when I first started watching this channel a year ago, I immediately watched all of the super yacht videos, and didn’t pay much attention to the smaller boats. Now, a year later, I have developed a huge appreciation for these smaller boats, with their unique configurations and creative uses of space.
Same!
I too watched till I realized my budget was indeed not suited for such
@@bremflux6464 I watch what i can afford most of the time these days ,i.e not super yachts .Its great to see all the super yacht videos but eventually reality kicks in ......
Same thing here.
@@christophertyler8051 with the right business plan anything is possible. Well, that’s what I like to dream about lol. Either that or euro millions quadruple rollover lol
I've been watching you for over 3 years now Nick and this weekend I bought my first boat! It's a £6,700 Maxum 1800 SRL Bow rider that needs a little bit of TLC but it's without a doubt a purchase I've made almost entirely due to this channel and seeing you and Marianne on SB2. Can't wait to get out on the water. Thanks for the inspiration!
Once a boat....always a boat! Your new addiction!😉
I'm on the water for 3 years now. I could live on the water...it's probably gonna happen....can't wait!
@@pinopino1086 15 years time "I've been watching you for 18 years and I've just re-mortgaged the house, sold all my worldly possessions to buy my 8th boat.... Thanks a bunch Nick 🤬" 😂😂
Welcome to the club, it's a addiction you'll likely have till you're 6ft under. one of the better one's to have though, I've been infected since I was 7ish. 😁.
@@120Livi more like I've sold my house and all my worldly possessions and now live aboard my 65 foot Nordhavn. Classic Nordhavn of course with many places to tuck yourself away with a good book. 😆🏴
@Aquaholic we must do a "meet the owner" of a Aquaholic junior. Maybe even a support group ;o) ?
I'm actually stunned by the value and practicality of this beauty! Pound for pound one of the best boats you've ever reviewed Nick!
Outboard engines - hmmm. Once all the clobber from inboard (onboard) engines have been removed thanks to the outboard motors, one gets something amazing on a boat - MORE ROOM. But rather than just put loads of GRP spaces below, real design has gone into the below deck, new found "voids". Three staterooms and a spacious head with separate shower area to start. And loads of added storage. Roomy inside and easy to get around in, this is a proper extended cruising boat. Nice. Thanks again, Nick for bringing us a broader view of under 40' boats.
The helicopter made me actually laugh out loud, I do enjoy your random silliness! Lovely practical boat, not sure about that starboard cabin though, I'd wake up thinking I was a carrot in somebody's lunchbox. Lots of accommodation for this size of boat though, and a nice open cockpit on a single level with HUGE windows. Cracking video again, as always, thanks Nick!
thought the same, dont think that S/B cabin is a double. Fine for a kid though. Wondering how much fuel 600hp outboards would guzzle compared to 1x D3.
Thank you so much! Been waiting for one of these vids from you for what feels like forever. This is my single favorite boat and for mere mortals like me almost affordable! Fantastic value for money, I think.
You're very welcome!
Such a charming video. While others might get frustrated at interruptions or background noise, Nick improvs a little snap and away everything goes. You can really tell that he has a lot of fun making these videos for us.
Never knew you had super powers Nick.. I do hope you returned the Helicopter to the sky when you finished shooting 😂😂 What a great little boat.. Can't believe the space below deck.. And so many places for storage dotted around her. Thanks for the tour Nick...
It was a good jape at the time, now all I get is phone calls asking for it back! 😄
@@AQUAHOLIC 😂😂
I really like those Merry Fishers, just seem intensely practical for 2 to 4 people as a weekender.
Another great starter boat really nice, think I am warming to outboard engines as they are easier to get at rather than trying to get my big girth through some of the small access hatches to engine rooms. nice finishes and quite roomy for its size. Thanks Nick a lovely tour as always.
I've never been a big fan of outboard motors. I always felt like they made a boat look less...finished, I guess. But there are two huge advantages to them. 1) cost: it's amazing what this boat offers for this price, especially when compared to one with inboard motors; and 2) maintenance and upgradability: something wrong with the motor? Remove it and fix it or replace it. Good luck doing that with a Penta 360. This tour was an eye opener for me - thank you!
Also great for places like here in southwest Florida with shallow areas because you can trim them up and even out of the water. It’s mostly outboards down here now.
I did the same. This boat is really nice.
Have been eyeing up a smaller version of the Merry Fisher, so I'm very glad you've released this video! Not many good tours of them available on RUclips. Thanks again Nick!
Glad it was helpful!
Love watching Nick’s video’s, I continue to learn and I’m gaining confidence. I am actually contemplating purchasing a boat now I’m coming up to retirement and live near a marina. Keep up your video’s they’re fabulous.
Hmm, I like this. Add a generator and make it a single .... fantastic little coastal explorer. As I've said before, the variety of oats you sow us, is fantastic. Another top quality Aquaholic Tour!
The Beneteau version of this boat - the Antares 11 has a generator :) We have an Antares 9 and it is awesome.
Yet another fantastic little boat, it's like the TARDIS with the space you actually get on her. Another great vid thank you.
Wow !. Love this one. Good use of room, well appointed galley and excellent accommodations. Looks like a great value for the price.
Thanks. Great review as usual. Absolutely the best value for the money if you go for a new boat!
Perfect for the weekend. Needs more bells and whistles. But its big enough. Thank you Nick.
Got to be the best family weekend trip boat I have seen it has everything someone would want and need absolutely amazing and u did it justice great job
Amazing value for money, I can see why these boats are so popular, you get so much for your money by going for the outboards. Very tempted, great video as always.
What a great little boat and well valued thanks for sharing this one Nick 🇨🇦
Really family-friendly! Love the layout, the finishes and overall internal looks. Exterior looks great, not flashy at all. I bet you can't look like a knob in something like this. Great tour, Nick! Cheers!
Oh, I forgot! Hello, Maggie! Long time no see...
This is a very practical boat. I like this one very much.
"This is a...."
And I've already hit the like button! I LOVE the Merry Fisher and I was waiting this video for a long time.
Now let me sit and enjoy every second of it!
Thanks Nic, cheers from Ravenna, Italy 🇮🇹
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really nicely laid out boat. Despite the size of the "kid's cabin", I still think that finding room for three cabins is impressive. And with the flexibility of the table becoming a berth? Bonus!
Great tour as always, Nick, thank you! And if only we could all make life's problems go away as easily as you got rid of that helicopter...sigh...
Hi Nick. Addictive, entertaining, inspiring and a magic 🎩 show. 3 cabins!! Wow. Looks nice inside and out. Great walkthrough video tour thanks 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Brilliant Vlog Nick, fantastic boat for the money..love this one.. surprising amount of space and well laid out great interior. Thanks for sharing :)
Glad you enjoyed it
Only found your channel recently but love these videos. Having seen these amazing yachts in harbours I really love seeing what they are like inside, thank you for showing us 😀
Welcome aboard! 🙂
Almost the perfect boat. The only thing I would change, is I would have the bow thruster on the other side, to make it easier to stand outside the door when docking.
Great little weekender cruiser! I would have it as a 2 cabin layout if that is an option. It's too small a boat for the 3rd but if you've got 3-4 kids or a couple of couples, you'll be crowded but functional. More and more, I'm attracted to the space savings you get with outboards and you don't seem to sacrifice performance. Gotta get past the prejudice that inboard engines make it a real boat! Space onboard for a 7.5kW generator...you know I need my 220V offshore! Wonderful, affordable and practical "bit of kit"!
Great looking boat and review… still waiting to see that Jeanneau Leader 10.5 S2 😎. Thanks as always Nick!
What a cool looking boat! I think this is one of the best value for you money that you have shown us yet! I don't suppose anyone would buy this for me today since it's my birthday? I promise to take good care of her and not end up one of those other RUclips channels such as Boat Fails or Idiots in Boats!
Love the outboards, love that it’s a twin, love the three cabins, love the price. I want one.
And Thank you Nick for this nice show of the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1095 the biggest in the range in the beginnig I saw those more with a inboard engine but now or days I see the more with outboard engines can still choose?
I actually like this model. Giving it outboards is smart on a number of levels, and it looks like a perfect fit for a family. Other than that dumb round mattress this is a nice boat.
lots of room and nice layout for a small boat. good vid
Another superb tour! Another cracking boat with plenty to love given the price.
Like @Livi 120 I've been watching for several years and we've just upsized our boat to one you had as the outside choice in a MB&Y article, so another boat sold partly because of you! Maybe you should start asking for commission?!
Keep up the great work Nick
I had to laugh when the helicopter showed up and you commented about it. When I was in college, my PolySci prof was fond of teaching class in the gazebo next to the class building. One day a big Pennsylvania National Guard Chinook helicopter flew by and in mid sentence talking about the US Constitution could be amended he shifted to talking about the Chinook and what it was like to fly in one. Memories.
Here's another nice one. Nice Nick.
Helicopter trick was tops!!!!
Very nice affordable family boat for us...I think I'll look in to this boat a bit more now...thank you
There's no way this boat is 160k. More like 300k. So.not sure about affordability.
It would be nice to know how far you would get on a full tank of either petrol or diesel nick.
I was about to do study,, thankyou Nick, valid reason to shut the textbook!!!
I think thats one of the coolest little boats you have ever reviewed 👋👋👋
This is a perfect boat for me from where I come from. It's not expensive, lots of space, easy to maintain.
Absolutely brilliant boat for a bit of fun and exploration 👍🇬🇧❤️
I'm getting my boat license next week, and my first cabin cruiser later this year. Thanks Nick for keeping me dream.
Best of luck!
What a great little weekender! ;-)
This one had me play the lottery, looks like the perfect size boat!
What a splendid boat
Boat reviewer, RV reviewer, house reviewer, and a magician! That helicopter stood no chance!
Love it, a lot of bang for your buck 😀 Thanks Nick!
Great tour
I'm a big fan of that. Most of the more affordable ones don't look great to actually stay on but that one looks more than workable for a few days.
Sending positive thoughts, vibes, and a well-penned letter to St. Nick (pun intended) to have one of these shoved into my stocking at Christmas, or before.
Hello Nick, I do like the Jeanneaus, especially the prestige. Thanks for the upload, Take care.
"A super-practical family boat" Yes - thankyou for sharing!
I am from greece and i love your videos.. keep up this great work..🎆💎
Thank you! Will do!
Poor helicopter! ;)
Thanks for the tour.
More top quality content from the master!
Instead of considering yourself a “simple man”, I suggest we use the terms “well grounded” and “down to earth”.
That’s part of what makes these videos so darned enjoyable.
Loving the disappearing helicopter
Cool trick with the helicopter 😆
Great tour as always Nick 👍
Personally I’d give this one a miss, preferring a Beneteau Swift Trawler of similar size but am sure this will appeal to a lot of people, it’s very good.
another fab video
I love Jeanneau’s, always have but for some reason I don’t think that I’ve realised how much space you gain with outboard motors which of course you would. Anyway brilliant tour as always Nick!
Another great video as usual even if I could never afford even this boat at around $400.000 second hand here in Aus
yessss finnaly a merry fisher
What a great boat!!!
this happens to be one of the best deals ive seen on the channel within reach of the average person.
Looks like a winner
Now that’s a good bit of boat for the money, I do like the fact that they’ve got one good sized heads with a closed off shower rather than squeeze in two silly small heads in the same space. Who needs wet toilet paper? There’s a couple on RUclips who got one of these ( or it might be a smaller one) and they share their adventures on it. A good watch. Cheers Nick.
Very nice offering at the price point shared.
Seems like if you take the big chunky engines out, and replace them with simple , easy to service engines you can save quite some amount on a three cabin boat. Noticed that you do loose on the bathing platform but there can be design to cater to that problem.
Nice looking boat. 🛥🛥🛥🛥🛥🛥
All i can say sir, well done! Love ur Clips 😊👍
Much appreciated
Love the content. Are there more sailing boats coming? It has really surprised me that I prefer them.
Sure are! 🙂
Tu et le meilleur continue je viens de France
Lovely boat 👍👍👍👍👍
Could you do a tour of the 895 merry fisher marlin? It's a really interesting and functional boat
damn strong nick, dead lifting a panel with a table and a stool on it !
Great video again!!! Not only because of the helicopter!!! :D
Another convert to the outboard motors on smaller boats, the extra room is great. Personally I'd hate to sleep in cabin 3, it's not for even the mildest claustrophobic, but you are getting 3 doubles for your cash. With the void in the rear of the boat, youd think you could reconfigure a bit to gain that headroom somehow.
Nice boat, there were one or two features like the fire extinguisher in the main cabin that I didn't like, but it's a fine design overall.
nice little boat.. I would make a few design changes and with a lower price. I might think about it.. thanks Nick..
great value for the money!
Another great video Nick - our thanks for your comments some 10 months ago when we considered upgrading our MF895 for the MF1095 .. . So happy with our decision, Italian Sessa Marine C38 has just been epic! Done 150 hours in her and we will be in Brixham 27th & 28th Aug with our boat neighbours from Mercury who you did meet the owners on their TARGA38 ☀️🚤👍🏼
Fantastic! Great boat!
I love this boat amazing setup you didn't mention the fuel capacity and cruising speed and top end, but i look forward to all your uploads
Fuel capacity on ours is 150 gallons, two 75 gallon tanks. Not sure in liters. But it is the beneteau version of this boat, the Antares. We cruise at around 25 knots.
Very good value
hi, i love your videos! Just great, so quiet and such a good view of the boats. Could you try a Parker Monaco in the near future? A similar boat, also with outboards, but much nicer. Thank you very much
If I get the opportunity I shall
Nick - we have the Beneteau version of this boat, the Antares. You should do an overview of that line - they are great boats! We love it here in southwest Florida. Just ran down to the Keys on it for a week!
NICE BOAT BRO!🚤💨
First class as usual,x
@Nick would love to see you give a tour of one of the Zeelander Yachts from the Netherlands.
If I get the chance
Nick has some nice watches!!!
You can make a helicopter disappear with the snap of your fingers. Very impressive ☺ nice boat with some nice features obviously priced more for those who don't have a money tree in their backyard.
I love this style of boat - the 895 or Beneteau Antares 9 would be a better cost / size ratio for me. But my biggest gripe is I don’t want petrol outboards - and the videos I’ve seen on ownership show on the 895 you’re going to be getting a real life burn of 55 to 75 litres an hour for the 20 to 30 knots range. Marina petrol prices (assuming you can find petrol) mean that that consumption rate will be v expensive…..I don’t mind losing a big locker under the cockpit for inboard diesels - and the greater capex of diesels is easier to accommodate than a large increase in fuel operating costs (higher price of petrol X lower efficiency)…….a great video Nick btw!
my dream boat
I wish I had your magic fingers! If I had a dollar for every time a retake was needed due to noise interference while taping I’d have enough to buy every boat you video!
Let's not undervalue the magic on display................Not only did Nick make that helicopter disappear, this staggering piece of magic also produced the stunning appearance of some random chap walking by. I'm pretty sure he originally set out to get the papers from Tesco express.
😆I think the chap was the pilot! 👍🤪
😄
Interesting windows in the hull. They need to bring one of these boats to Haulover inlet in Florida and run the inlet a few dozen times to see if the windows will still be there.
