Perfectly timed! I had all my doubles when I was a teenager but just came back to the sport after 15 years last month. Trying to get the doubles back now that I’m in my 30s! Perfect timing.
I came back to skating after thirty years! I did not start again until I was fifty. It IS harder when you are older and a bit more scary, but determination goes a long way. Good luck to everyone.
Snap! Haven't been on the ice since I was about 14 and now 33 and live 10 mins from an ice rink - needless to say I'm there every day now, on a mission! 😍
Thanks for the video! I'm still working on my axel but excited for doubles in the future. Also mad props to Cyrus because the weight transfer on his single sal is gorgeous.
Can you do a video on how to get a double rotation period. I dont know how to get enough power and speed to do double rotations. For example. Do you have to be able to do it off ice before you can try it on ice?
I used to be able to do up to double lutz (not the most consisten but I would land it a lot) but then I lost all my jumps from axel and higher from quarrantine and developed a bunch of mental blocks. Double sal used to be my best jump and I loved it but lately I've been falling foward a lot and not being able to do it.
Thanks! Ive been working on mine for a couple months now. I just recently landed three without help on the harness so it's become a mind game to land it without the security of the harness. I really want to try the half-loop double sal combo and see if that helps!
My daughter is having a hard time and her coach says shes doing triple jumps instead of double. How can we fix this? Please help. Thanks for the vid! More power
DR Namgal honestly over rotating is more of a blessing than a curse, of course at lower levels u can’t do triples but triples are worth way more in the end, if u can do a trumped u can do a double but if u can’t do a double u struggle a lot more
I only once tried ice skating in ober gatlinberg and i admire professional skater as its difficult ! There was an older lady doing spins pn ice with us and it wasnt superfast like in professional skating but i watched tranced staed by how graceful her spins were! Long time fan of ice skating but over last 16 years haven' t been able follow aams been too busy trying not get murdered by hatemonging barbaric and brutal mondern day society! All my best!
Could you please explain how the arms work? Do they first need to go in front and then you pull yourself in to the air position to the right side ? So the balance center changed? They don't go directly to the right side right away? Thanks
Jennejdnsn is a great addition in my room at work on a new one day so far I think I have it now so it is good news and it was so much better to be a part time now I’m so excited
Ya but I’m leaning to much on a edge on the landing and I can’t fix it it hurts so bad bc the fall is so hard but I tried everything nothing works I’ve lost everything
it’s different for everyone, i got my axel first and my double flip shortly after. i still struggle with my double loop and double salchow. i have friends who landed the double sal long before anything else though!
I bet someone back in the days was doing a 3 turn, leaned over too much on the inner edge going backwards after the turn and ended jumping to regain balance, doing a salchow.
@@Foolscard there is nothing terrible here injury risks go much higher in FS when you weigh 70+. I'm the only person who advised this girl and I'm not a hypocrat as some of you here trying to appear "nice" and amazing. You won't be there when she falls and breaks something and gets a serious injury. Have you seen any figure skater so overweight? I haven't? Because this sport is literally dangerous for them. Better to lose first and then skate. I gave her a good and friendly advice. There is nothing shameful to say someone is overweight and before you get rid of that stigma, people will be as stigmatised with weight as ever.

Thank you so much for this! I do lean more on my inside edge therefore struggle doing one footed things, but I’m trying 😂
eMiLy eW maybe try to get your blade moved towards the inside if this problem persists

I love doing half loop to double sal, I find it helps me if I do another single first
(Like single flip/lutz half loop double sal

Allea Gaming good job!

I have had my axel for a very long time. My entry is great but I still can’t seem to cross my legs on the Sal. It on the right edge though. Any tips?

Do i have to be able to be able to do 2 rotations? Right now I can only do 1.5 and it’s annoying to me
I’d like help with counters !!!
yeah. easy.
Ya but I’m leaning to much on a edge on the landing and I can’t fix it it hurts so bad bc the fall is so hard but I tried everything nothing works I’ve lost everything
Can I try doubles even when I haven’t landed a axel? I’ve heard double sal and toe are easier

i’m having so much trouble with staying on the inside edge for a 2sal, somehow I always end up doing a 3 turn into an axel 🙄
How do people not trip with 2 leg salchow take offs

I landed my double Sal before my axel lol
My rink doesn't have a wall lol
when ur last competition to qualify for juvenile sectionals is two days away and ur dream is to qualify and you are too desperate and need a double
Raya Welch how did it go?
Did u qualify
@@houstonaly3891 yes but my sectionals got canceled cuz of covid :(
@@mayaihrussell i did but covid got the sectionals canceled sadly.
How can that girl jump with so much overweight :/ dont get injured
Ioseb Dzamukashvili
ur so rude jesus christ
What the heck she’s litterally perfect. Don’t project ur insecurities on other people that’s so emmbarsing for u.
@@mayaihrussell I have no insecurity or I would not project it on others. I told her the reality if she falls she can destroy her bones. LOL
What a terrible and short sited comment to make. No matter your weight you will get hurt. Dont be a dick.
