What is the Experience API? What does it mean for the future of e-learning? Why is it also called the Tin Can API? This little video attempts to answer at least some of those and other questions.

Just to clarify: TinCan was the what it was called while it was an R&D project. It is also what Rustici Software has decided to call their commercial implementation of xAPI. However, ADL and anyone looking to adopt the actual spec (not a standard quite yet) should call it Experience API (and xAPI for short). Some developers and early adopters are still using the Tin Can name out of habit, but TinCan is actually now a commercial product (not owned by ADL and not the same thing as the xAPI spec). Anyhow, this is an excellent video! Very nicely done! Bravo!

Thank you, I almost disliked the video for saying "I don't know" with regards why they called differently.

why is there a smoke (?) plume when bob failed hang gliding? Probably should have been doing the light aircraft training instead...
