The Onza has been confirmed by zoologist as recently as 1986. i grew up running and trapping (never any good at trapping) racoon in central Texas with hounds in the early 1980s my best dogs ironically were the dogs that I kept the longest which happened to have been two Blueticks, I kind of considered myself as somewhat of a dog trader in my early life never giving my dogs enough time to develop. Really enjoyed listening to this interview and seeing the old pictures.

Did both your brothers spend their entire lives roaming hundreds upon hundreds of miles of mountain ranges hunting bear and mountain lions?

@@TylerLoftis-e9yone of my brothers that's 71years is still to this day a heavy equipment welder for a field tiling company and that's pretty much what he's done his whole life since he's 15 or 16 years old our temperatures here in the Imperial Valley in the summer in the middle of the field he works in runs about 120 and he climbs up and down these huge monster machines that dig trenches in our fields. My other brother is 74 and is a maintenance guy for a geothermal plant here in the Imperial Valley , both of them have hunted in our chocolate mountains and put miles on their body they're pretty beat up.

Is the Onza he’s talking about a Jaguarundi(however it’s spelled) they look a lot like what he’s describing.

@@InterviewsStoriesandTalesI've heard a lot of stories about dogman that rather fit the description, not entirely cat like but similar coloration and a bit of a mane on their neck which sorta resembles a lions. Also long face, big ears, and almost a wolf track make me think of the Beast of Bray Road so called dogman. Be nice if whatever creature he's talking about could of made it into scientific circles back then so we could have a record of it. Whatever it is, lion, dogman, or something else, it's sure a cool mystery that Dale can attest to

Let me tell you it’s not the years that put age on you it’s the miles and how rough they were that puts on the age.

The onza story is fascinating. They all are but in certain parts the onza is as mysterious as a big foot except that there is a half dozen confirmed accounts and actual photographs. Unfortunately it seems the few confirmed specimens disappear before the science guys can get ahold of them. Probably because someone wanting a one of a kind specimen for their trophy room will pay more for one than the geneticists who likely want them donated for free. That’s just a guess however. The point being that even though there is actual proof they exist, science doesn’t as yet recognize them as a species 👍🏼
