Welcome and good luck! And dont pay attention to weird old ladies, just ignore! =) Russia is multinational and multicultural so generally these negative things should be rare. I always wanted to have a black friend, its interesting to absorb a different culture from a person you know.

Nice video lol ) Young and lookin for fun ) This video featured the area of Moscow I used to live in for a looooong time and a lot of exact little streets where I've been 1000000000 times ) Moscow has a loooooot of fun to offer man , dem hoes are here ) I can show you around )
Unfortunately, being black in Russia is at least strange: - those who grew up here before 2000 were not used to foreigners in general, and even more - from Africa. - cold weather and a low standard of living in the 90s makes them feel a little "envy" of more cheerful people (especially from sunny Africa).
@Distortion Are you sure you answered me? In general, a small number of migrants almost never hurts. It is clear that there are cases when migrants are invited instead of looking for ways to find work for their own citizens. But this doesn't happen often.
Right, that’s worded correctly. It’s in a strange way noticeable that the younger generation is equally as surprised but obviously more welcoming to foreign people of colour as compared to the older folks… but of course every black person will tell their own story. Thank your for watching))
envy? do you know what kind of image the U.S. has created of the russian for the whole world? sullen, angry and all that... and you know about black people? that you're all gangs, kill people and all that. Maybe russians have seen too many movies about you and now they are wary?
If you are planning to live in Moscow, you will be smart not to live outside the second ring. Actually, staying inside the first ring would be safer for you but the rents are the highest there. If you move to the third ring or beyond you will experience racism like in the United States 200 years ago. It is quite common for blacks as well as other foreigners to be assaulted and attacked in public in the outer rings. Not a good place if you fit that profile. Don't become a victim, stay as close as you can to the center, there are also more police presence there as well. Good luck!!
@@carlgriffith4660 you' ve been there. I am living there. In place beyond MKAD. A lot of black people live there . I know because I see them in Tube( metro). I see black people there for years and they don't look to move from here. And I' ve never seen there any violence to black people or any person there. Moscow is a safe place even at 12am you don't scare to return home from work because there are a lot of people on the streets. But I don' t argue that bad people exist. But it doesn't depend from place in Moscow. There is also no such racism you described. It is strange thing for a country with 180 nations.
@@kifirkamaria4691 Well, I understand you live there, but I read the news reports in my hotel and talk to people I have as friends there and I know that beyond the first ring there is less and less police, and the street crimes increase. Inside the first ring the rents are high, but people can walk around at all times, and it is very safe. One night outside the third ring in a community restaurant there were three Africans, tourist, that were assaulted in the open, inside the restaurant by several locals who told them they should not be there. Even my Russian friends tell me racism is alive and well there, but many are ashamed of it, as they should be.
@@carlgriffith4660 Crime on national, racial grounds in Russia is criminally punishable and severe. Safety on the streets is many times better than in the US and European countries. But if a foreigner behaves like a fucking Niger and forgets that he is a guest, then in Russia he will definitely have problems. It is better to be an adequate person, and not suffer from exclusivity.
