I have a slightly different model SI4854CIX with catalytic liners. The "beep" sound is very quiet and no use if you are in another room. The manual does not point out that the door needs to be shut to use the grill. It won't turn on until the door is closed and it shuts off on opening the door.
which is the bottom and top setting, mine is the same model, the bottom is not cooked, the dough remains, the top is cooked, the bottom remains raw Can you help thank you
Hi, i bought the same oven and used it today for the first time and i Don't understand why the light is on during the cooking. I mean usually the light in the oven is on at the beginning and off while the cooking but not this one. Is it normal? Can i control the Light? Thank you for your answer.
Turn it off at the main. (you should have a red isolator switch in your kitchen) leave off for 10 seconds. Turn back on, turn the dial to et the hour. Press the play button. Or OK button, can't remember on this model, think it's the play button. Then turn the dial again for the mins. Press play button again. Time will be set.
@@stemac1969 did you work it out yet?? Put your rotisserie stuff inside the oven and the end of the skewer inside the hole at the back, Put your oven on special function (the chef hat one) then select turbo grill, then select number 3, it will then rotate
@@lynnethebest4524 I tried that but no matter which way around I put the thing in the hole doesn't line up and 1when I put it in the hole the spit comes off/lifts up off the frame as soon as it turns! If I line it up on the frame the spit stick is about 10cm to the right of the hole and then won't turn!
@@thewolfydragon1989 Hi Assume by now you got it working but i had same problem until i shined a torch in and can see on the right sidebof the hole is a smaller (white) slot for it. On instructions its clearly pushed in on the left side of rear hole, butbit is defo the right. It is quite awkward
I assume you'd lift the top cover off? My old oven you just slide the plastic cover off. That said only just got this oven so not tried it on this one. Did you work it out?
Don't bother, sitting here waiting for my Sunday lunch, cooker up the suff, error code, it's only been in 3 bloomin months, bring back my cheap old reliable that i have had for years, hotpoint ... you can keep em.
Thank you so much for this. Just moved into my new home with this oven and I had no idea what to do!! Thank you!
Oh thank you, it’s a relief to see this ,haven’t used mine yet thought I’d need a degree to work it thanks again pat 🇮🇪
Thank you for posting this video. Ten times better than the official Hotpoint one. 👍

Every oven I've had has the light on during cooking. Never seen an oven with the light out?
Can you do a video about how to set the time on the clock on this oven please?

Good looking oven you say, without showing the whole oven to us.
That on/off switch is the only annoying thing I can see about this oven. So unnecessary and reminds me of their washing machines. Such a shame.
Can anyone tell me how the self clean works please? We can’t work it out lol!
Found this other video, at 5:30 ruclips.net/video/Ff05oaWrzfU/видео.html
There were two cases in Peterborough last year where a Hotpoint model exploded during self-clean.
@@BenDover-ln6ns Any evidence of that?
I have this oven and i think it is rubbish.
