Dancing in the Dark 2 meters above a rotating stage, a 16yr old Suzuka sings of an Unending Nightmare of being chased by a Faceless Terror, begging a Boon that is show her its Face just Once before she dies. That's Metal. That's Babymetal!! Put your Kitsune UP!!
The instrumental intro, "Mischiefs of Metal Gods", is perfect to show every Kami Band member's skills. And it serves to summon Su-metal who finally emerges from the depths ... well, at least from the bottom of the stage. 😁 This is the only intro song which has a name but they have several other songs with an intro when they perform them live such as "Catch me if you can", "YAVA!". "Awadama Fever", "Kagerou" and more recently "METALI!". "Rondo of Nightmare" is probably their darkest song lyrically. It's about Su being trapped into an endless nightmare, without any chance to escape, where she's chased by a dark entity as she tries to run away and hide. Finally she asks the entity to reveal its real nature before giving up. This was just the second time they performed it live (the first one was just the previous night at the same venue) and Su-metal, being 16 at the time, was standing by herself on a relatively small and elevated platform, without any safety and probably not being able so see a thing due to the spotlight. This is so freaking metal! This is one of what we call Su-metal solos. She has four of them. The others are: "Akatsuki", "No rain no rainbow" and "Amore". The "rondo" in the name refers to the musical refrain form. The typical feature of any rondo is the return to the main theme after each digression giving the song a dark feeling of moving in circles without any possible way out. One of the best known rondos is Beethoven's "Für Elise". Here is an excerpt from an interview with RollingStone (April 2014 issue): Q: Concerning Su-metal's solo songs we see that 'Akumu no Rondo' has been released as a new single. Su-metal: It seems my two solo songs are 'Akatsuki' and Akumu no Rondo'. 'Akatsuki' has the sense of being the 'redness of passion' (realize that Akatsuki means 'red moon') as is a song where I move around passionately. Compared with that, 'Akumu no Rondo' possesses the feeling of 'blackness'. The temporary title for this song was 'Kill The Alice' based on an image of Alice falling into a cave and being flaying around in the darkness. This is a story where it seems that something is chasing me (this girl) around in the darkness of the cave where I can see nothing at all. Most of the songs I have sung up to meeting this one have been passionate songs but this song has allowed me to try my hand at new ways of singing and I feel I approach this song with a new way of expression each time I sing it. They still do Kami Band solos. At Legend-MM (March 2024) they had two solos each night. "Kagerou" (Live at Legend-MM with Kami Band intro): ruclips.net/video/Bm8bEV0ireg/видео.html "YAVA!" (Live at Legend-MM with Kami Band intro): ruclips.net/video/AyMx-cIq4C4/видео.html And "Metali!" at both shows (although you already did the song). "METALI!" (Live at Legend-MM with Kami Band intro): ruclips.net/video/7LvYc0SASwM/видео.html 🤘🦊
second for 'Kagerou' (especially, of course, Legend MM). I particularly love the drum solo, since the last 'verse' of it has him belting out about 300 BPM or thereabouts...very impressive
@@Umbrasong Anthony is a total beast and yeah those blasts with the double bass are insane. And I have to say that the uniformly incredible excellence of the Legend MM concert is amazing. It's only a shame that since For the Foxgod got cancelled some really great songs from that show are no longer available on YT. Sigh!
Yeah!!! Finally our Queen!! I told you Kitsune, I told you! This song and performance are absolutely Amazing!! No more words!! You need watch now, Amore live! Su is simply Perfect!! See you!!
I am seated for this. The Su solos, particularly this and Akatsuki, highlight that if BABYMETAL were a traditional woman fronted metal band, they would have succeeded just as much as the fusion idol dance group has. Su is a clean vocalist, but she was born to sing over metal instruments.
The kami Band has just demonstrated its virtuosity. It's your turn, the platform rises in the darkness of the Budokan and you dance and you sing, you're 16 and you're the Queen.
I saw Babymetal for the first time at a UK Metal fest in 2016 and they blew me away with their originality (I'd been watching and listening to Metal bands for 40 years by then as my first gig was Sabbath in 1976). Through them, I found first Band-Maid, then Lovebites, Nemophila and many other superb bands and have barely looked west since for my muusic. Gotta recommend Babymetal's first appearance at a Metal fest outside Japan, at the UK's Sonisphere in 2014. They ended with a song called Ijime, Dame, Zettai (Bullying, No More, Forever) and the girls and the Kami Band blew the crowd away. It's on their YT channel and SuMetal said in a 2021 interview that it was her fave performance as she knew they had been accepted by the Metalheads outside of Japan. PS Even though I've watched this many times, I still feel nervous for Su up there! 🦊🤘🤘🦊
Babymetal really does bring a spectacle each time for their large venues. If you feel the need to see more of Kami band, I'd recommend "Yava". There are live versions with both East and West Kami band intros.
BOH quickly became one of my most favorite bass players. I was fortunate enough to see him on the street in NYC and got a photo with him. I made it my profile picture😅😊
Aaah I’m jealous. Became a fan a few years ago, too late to witness Kami East. Would have loved to see and hear Boh on stage with that 6-string Atelier-Z custom!!
Thy Bro! This is the heaviest and best metal ballad I've ever heard! Imagine how much better the song got later with Mikio playing more guitar, and Suzuka playing more with her voice. Suzuka said that she thought a lot about how to convey the feeling on this song, it took her time. With this, they showed the world what they were capable of and everyone saw why Suzuka is the queen!
Great reaction. This is one of 4 Su-metal solos, two on each of the first two albums. The others are 'Akatsuki', 'Amore' and 'No Rain, No Rainbow'. Yui and Moa would get a break while Su performed those - Su would get a break when Yui and Moa performed one of their duets - they were called Black BABYMETAL for those and they also had two on each of the first two albums (4 No Uta' or Song 4, Onedari Daisakusen', 'GJ' and 'Sis Anger'). The Kami Band intro is called 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods'. In order of solos - Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). There can't be many 16 year olds who could follow that intro and then just take over the whole stage and arena the way Su did - and this was only the second time she had performed this song (first time was the night before). This is probably their darkest song lyrically (working title was 'Kill The Alice'). I understand rondo is a musical term denoting a repeated theme - something like that anyway. I believe they borrowed the term for the title of this song as Su is caught in a recurring nightmare, being chased through the darkness by something she can't see. Eventually she hides, but it is still coming closer. Knowing there is no escape she asks that if she is to die won't it at least reveal itself to her. This was early March 2014. They played two nights at the Budokan in Tokyo (think the equivalent of Carnegie Hall or Madison Square Garden - it is the place all Japanese artists aspire to play), Red Night and Black Night, becoming the youngest average age female band ever to headline there. They had just released their first album - they sold out both nights. 🤘🦊🤘 They were back at the Budokan as part of their 10th anniversary celebration and played 10 shows over the first 3 or 4 months of 2021.
Also you aren’t wrong to fear falling risk. Yui fell into that clockwork stage the night before this on Red Night. One of the most notorious events in Babymetal history
Hell yeah bro, now you know why the “peer pressure” for this song 😂. This is such a dark song too, especially for Babymetal. The protagonist is pursued by an unseen monster in the night and inevitably looses the struggle. At which point, she is “imprisoned” in the light cage on stage. Finally, she asks the monster to reveal himself, at which point the song just ends without a resolution. Dayuuumn! Also, can we talk about Su’s long note and that epic breakdown? It felt like an AK-47 mag dumping on full auto into my musical soul… 🤯🙂↔️ PS, when you end up doing the full Wembley 2016 show, there’s an even more amazing version of this with Mikio in place of Leda Cygnus (1st guitar solo). 🤘🦊
Imagine performing on that small platform while the earth below you is rotating! Other excellent songs performed with Kami intros are "Catch Me if You Can" and "Kagerou". Both have several live versions. "Kagerou" is perhaps Babymetal's most "western" styled song, and is very groovy. Here are two versions, the first having no choreo, with just Su-metal freestyling with the band: ruclips.net/video/C01t9HUfwN8/видео.html , and the second, finished production with Kami intro: ruclips.net/video/ZED2utt_ok4/видео.html
Great reaction! She is phenomenal, right? 😁 "Queen" for many, many reasons. And this masterpiece is the biggest reason, IMHO. I was totally in awe, and blown away the first time I watched this performance. The Kami Band of the East absolutely killed it. Yes, Metal in every f*ing way. Unusually dark, at least for BABYMETAL standards, but so, so beautiful.
Yeah, I went from being “dismissive” with Gimme Choco / Doki Doki Morning to this song as my 3rd experience, followed by Road of Resistance. Instant 180, and fan for life, lol.
If you want more Kami band intros, try out; -Catch Me If You Can. Normally has an intro, though not the Legend 1997 performance which does have a supercute crowd engagement start by Su, Yui and Moa. - Yava. Fancy some ska with your metal? Fox Festival and Legend MM have intros, though the offical Babymetal channel version doesn't include the footage. -Awadama Fever. Some versions, like Fox Festival. - Kagerou, with the Western Kami Band. All are superb, as you'd expect from the Kami Bands. And yeah, fuck the haters 😎
Nice reaction! Finally, Su-metal's solo songs. It's a shame that Leda Cygnus was in Mikio's place at Budokan 2014 (not that Leda is another exceptional guitarist). Su was 16 at that show. No Rain, No Rainbow I recommend the version from the Legend S Baptism XX show. If you want to see a cool intro from the current Kami Band, react to Kagerou from the Legend MM show (it's on the Hymnodic channel).
You don't have to worry about Su-Metal falling. Only YuiMetal falls off the stage at the Budokan shows, at Red Night, the night before this show. At 10 years old, Su-Metal was still Suzuka Nakomoto and was singing with the group Karen Girl's. If you haven't seen it yet, react to Karen Girl's "Over the Future." to see a very young Suzuka. Also react to the cover of Over the Future that Babymetal did 4 years later, which turned out to be a dream come true for YuiMetal as she wanted to be in Karen Girl's and what inspired her into music in the first place.
Another queen Su solo is "Akatsuki", check out Akatsuki from Black Night too, she's kills it man! And if you want to see song with Kami Band intro, check out : - Cacth Me If You Can (from Black Night too) - Kagerou with Kami Band intro This band is so badass!
An outstanding performance, with an amazing intro from the Kami Band. Luckily, there's several more of those! _Catch Me If You Can, Yava, Awadama Fever, Kagerou_ and _Metali_ all have great Kami Band intros. Some of them with the Eastern Kami Band, some with the Western, and a few with versions from them both. Now it's definitely time for _Akatsuki_ though! I haven't seen you explicitly write down to do both the metal version (preferably from the same concert you just watched; Budokan Black Night), as well as the "unfinished" version (from *Legend 1997* only), so make sure to add that to your document right away 🙂
⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥 That was a sixteen year old Su. She premiered the song the night before, at Budokan Red Night. Rondo is easily in my top ten BABYMETAL songs. Su performed three solos that night. She did 'No Rain, No Rainbow', followed by 'Akatsuki' earlier in the set. Yui and Moa (as Black BABYMETAL) did two songs without Su ('4 no Uta' and 'Onedari Daisakusen'), and of course they all performed a bunch of songs together. : ) That Black Night Budokan concert from March 2014 is still one of my favorite BABYMETAL concerts. Not only is Su brave enough to sing and dance on a tiny elevated platform in the dark, but she is also fearless enough to follow those amazing Kami Band solos.
Ey Shade! Good reaction as always! Budokan 2014 was the first show in which the Kami Band was there THE ENTIRE show. In previous shows, like Legend 1997 for example, they was there for the last songs of the shows. I think it is one of the most important shows on their history. And yes, the Kamis had a lot more presence. Don't get me wrong, I am not a hater of western kamis, they are badass too. And, in fact, the last years before the hiatus, the eastern kamis had less protagonism, just like the western nowadays. I think that in the beginning it was important to show MORE the kamis, to send a message like "hey, this is real metal, you see". When they consolidated, that message was not so important: we will love them even if they switch to trap music :) PS: Speaking about falling off the stage... Yui fell off in the red night (previous day) in one of the side platforms during headbanger. In black night, they installed fences. PS2: In this show the guitarists were Leda and Ohmura. You have seen Mikio in other videos.
BABYMETAL get together one of the most badass metal bands on the planet.. and SU-METAL's vocals still cut through everything like a siren. This is why her vocals are AMAZING for heavy metal In this performance: Guitar (1st solo): Leda Cygnus Guitar (2nd solo): Takayoshi Ohmura Bass: BOH Drums: Hideki Aoyama
There are several songs with Kami Band intros besides this one, those being YAVA! (Both Eastern and Western Kami), Awadama Fever(EKami), Kagerou(WKami), Metali(WKami), and a very rare Akatsuki intro(EKami). There is also the song The Hill Of Wisteria, written by Takayoshi Ohmura and performed as Babymetal only during their Japan leg of their 2015 tour, but it has also been performed during a jam session hosted by Takayoshi.
Thank you so much for uploading your reaction video to Rondo Of Nightmare!! Next, please be sure to check out "Amore" from your solo performance at Wembley Arena!! Also, please upload reaction videos to "Akatsuki" from the 2021 Budokan live performance and LEGEND-S' "No Rain, No Rainbow"!!!
In older shows, BM used to do 1 or 2 instrumental solo for every show They brought them back recently, with an instrumental intro for Metali! And in bigger shows, they did it for Yava! and Kagerou!
Technically, the original Kami Band members were Hiroki Arai and Shiren on guitars, RYO on bass and SHIN on drums. They performed at 'Legend I', October 6th, 2012, with a two song encore. This is certainly a classic lineup, even without Mikio Fujioka.
Great reaction as always. I like the current Kami band a lot but can't help but regret never seeing the original version You shouldn't worry about the 'not metal' talk. I used to be bothered by that whole, Babymetal is not metal, argument but now I find it to be pretty stupid. I don't care what anyone wants to call it. They can call it polka music for all I care. It doesn't change the fact that it's awesome. If being a Babymetal fan has taught me one thing, it's to stop expecting music to check certain boxes before I can enjoy it. Just listen to it. If you like it you like it. If you don't you don't.
This is my favorite video that features the Kami band with solos. Su gets to really show her voice off too. If I remember correctly, there is a video of YAVA! that has Kami band solos. Enjoyed watching your face as they performed . I miss seeing your dog sleeping in the background, lol.
Yeah, there was A LOT of anger, angst and confusion when BabyMetal first appeared at metal concerts 😱 My fav reaction of all time (so far...) ruclips.net/video/PeARpcDimx4/видео.htmlsi=KvNkbNTlYYDnYr-K&t=188 They got quite a bit of support from BIGLY metal bands at the time, most notably I guess, Rob Halford of Judas Priest did some songs with them. I'm not a metal guy, so I don't know a lot about metal and these bands, but I've certainly heard of them. Did make a difference with acceptance 👍🏽 This went on for quite some time though BabyMetal eventually won over most metalheads and were going to be UUGE regardless 🌟
Another super reaction. This of course is the OG Kami's. They really have a special sound. You mentioned "Akatsuki". There are several live versions of this song some IMO are better than others. If you really want to see-especially the guitarists though not Mikio-in an epic display the version to go with is:Akatsuki「紅月 -アカツキ-」| LIVE at Budokan Black Night ruclips.net/video/WMQiO7U_BsI/видео.html This is a high quality beast of a rendition of this song.
Absolutely killer of a song! It's 2014 so she is 16 or 17 here, not 10 😂 I also want Kami band to be featured more, sometimes they're playing such cool solos but we don't get to see that
Great one! Your 1st 'Su solo' and 'Kami Band intro'. Definitely one of their most darker song. Essentially about being stuck in a loop of nightmare. Both 16 years old queen Su, and Kami Band killed this performance. Don't worry about them falling. If they did, it won't be in the video. 🤣 Plus, they're all incredibly professional to be scared. All three of them danced on that raised platform for one of the song. 🤣 Plus, this is not the most craziest 'stun' they've done. Since you've gotten into a Su solo, maybe Black Babymetal next? You've mentioned "GJ!" before so just go with that. Anyway, keep diving in! 🦊🦊🦊
The Beatles were indeed the first rock group to perform at the Nippon Budokan Hall in Tokyo in 1966. Their five concerts performance at the Budokan was quite controversial at the time, as the venue was originally intended for martial arts events, and some traditionalists felt that a Western pop group performing there was inappropriate. Despite the opposition, The Beatles' concerts were a huge success.
The performance by the band solo is great. However, as soon as the vocal appears and starts singing, everyone gasps at her beauty and recognizes that she is the protagonist.❤
the 2nd solo guitar was not full showing his potential because he is using the extra scale 666 mm neck which is he tell from other interviewied for rythm specialist sound guitar, to make more firm sound on his rythm guita rand with that extra scale the string was so tense hard to bend, thats why he somehow not showing a full speed picking, BTW that 2nd guitarist takayoshi ohmura is a legend already. he known for his Picking style called ohmura picking. the way he pick is so fast but only her thumb and index finger was showing movement not the whole hand. but you can watch other solo with babymetal when he is perform with other guitar, especially the pink one. also would be cool if you trying to do reaction video Takayoshi Rig somehow ruclips.net/video/4ZhZUBG6SGM/видео.htmlsi=9TimE_JpvCs1FKS3
We absolutely adore West Kami Band they’re such beasts at their instruments, but the OGs definitely had a uniqueness that gave a special flavor to BabyMetal, personally I really love to see Boh (bass player) going solo. Also funny thing about Hideki Aoyama (drummer) if you see him in casual clothes you’d never imagine he is such a beast at the drums.
The concern for Su's safety is quite valid. In this 2 concert series, both Moa and Yui were injured during the shows. One night Yui fell 10ft off the stage and was absent for the rest of the song, but returned for the next song and finished the show. The other night Moa twisted her ankle or pulled a hammy during the final song. She finished the song, but she was in visible pain until the end. They were both 14 and showed more strength and determination than a lot of other fully grown performers. The production team really did take some chances on safety in the early years. There was a show where Moa and Yui were each hoisted 15 feet up on two platforms on either side of the stage during one of the songs. Minimal safety gear, like a rope around their waist, and those towers they were on didn't look very sturdy at all. Heck, even The One official video has the girls in a open pyramid being swung over the crowd as they're singing. These girls have some serious balls.
You should go to [BABYMETAL - Kagerou with Kami band Intro] if want to see mor recent Kami band solo intro ... it fantastic. And from this same concert (Legend MM) Momotaro if want to see mor of Momo (Who doesn't want to see mor of momo ...). Akatsuki black night (and if wanna double reaction) Akatsuki 2021 - My preferred - Stunning Su performance
A song is about Su in a dream and being chased by some evil demon and she is in a hiding place and realizing she cannot escape. She asked for one boon from the creature. Can I see you before you kill me?
This video does not have Mikio Fujioka it features Leda blue guitar and Takayoshi Ohmura Gold guitar on guitars songs that feature KAMI BAND Mikio Fujioka are Yava and Catch me if you can with KAMI BAND intro also Yava with current KAMI BAND intro
The rule is that after a Su solo, you have to do a black Babymetal song 😉 (Because when there was a Su solo live, they always played a Black Babymetal song before or after that). I would suggest Onedari Daisakusen, but they are all good. Sis anger is very hard. By the way, all 4 Su Solos are excellent songs, I have no doubt that are are coming to all of them at some point.
KAMIBAND member on this video : -Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar) -Leda Cygnus (blue gitar) -BoH (bass) -Hideki Aoyama (drum) they really² good musician ❤
Here are some recommended versions of _Akatsuki_ (in chronological order), for whenever you manage to get around to it :-) I believe the very first time Akatsuki was ever performed live was at *Legend I* in 2012. But this was before the Kami Band, and Babymetal had the Babybones pretending to play the instruments. It's actually quite hilarious to see them do the guitar solos! But this performance is maybe more of a novelty, and not something you necessarily need to react to :-) ruclips.net/video/XdHAgFQeOhI/видео.htmlsi=Gz56JP4ul5RYODkf I would suggest you start with the _Unfinished_ version from *Legend 1997* (2013), which is probably my favorite Su vocal performance ever: ruclips.net/video/-Mh5nrXIw6s/видео.htmlsi=8uen7YhMHin_Y4RN A big frustration for some of the bigger Babymetal fans is the relatively large amount of post production cleanup done to Su's voice for the official DVD releases of these concerts. She might not always nail everything perfectly live, but she is still absolutely world-class, and it feels a bit disrespectful to mess with her performance as much as they sometimes do. Especially when you get the DVD from a concert you personally attended, and it sounds different from what you remember. Pitch correction might be standard practice in the music industry, of course, but I think it makes for unreasonable expectations of what a vocalist is supposed to be capable of. So if you want to hear what Su truly sounds like live, you have to actually go to a concert, or rely on fan recordings. Luckily, there are several fan recordings of Akatsuki available on RUclips, and even one for the performance of the "unfinished" version. The sound quality is not exactly great, so maybe you shouldn't react to it in your video, but you have it here if you are curious: ruclips.net/video/MXaP0sUwTbY/видео.htmlsi=RB8a9J0h2TalfrrT The most famous performance of the "regular" metal version of the song was probably at *Budokan Black Night* in 2014. It's very good at giving Takayoshi and Leda the spotlight they deserve during their amazing solo work. This is perhaps the definitive version to react to: ruclips.net/video/WMQiO7U_BsI/видео.htmlsi=Zw9UtPiIPVEanqSr There is a filmed rehearsal of Akatsuki from before Babymetal's show at *The Forum* in London, 2014. It's not a remarkable performance as such, but it's always fun with a peek behind the curtain. And it's so strange to see Mikio and Leda without makeup and wig, Su in sweatpants, merch t-shirt and pigtails (instead of her usual ponytail). Also, we get a chance to hear the audio without any pitch correction or other nonsense. Unfortunately, you can't find the whole thing here on RUclips. It's easy enough to find elsewhere online though (I can't give you a link, or my comment will be deleted). A somewhat more recent version that is fairly popular is the one from *Dark Night Carnival* live at Saitama Super Arena, 2018. I personally don't like that they have included some fight choreography that steals focus from the Kami Band solos. But I do like the outfits, short-lived though they were. I am not aware of any complete performances of Akatsuki from this era available on RUclips, as they all seem to have been taken offline. But again, it shouldn't be too hard for you to find it. Just make sure to put a big-ass watermark on the thing!
Great reaction again, on a personal note I prefer the catch me if you can intro ( with Mikio ) but still a great way to showcase Kami Band. If you like guitar solos watch Akatisuki Budokan 2014 (my favorite BM song) and then compare with Akatisuki Budokan 2021 and let us know wich one you like better.
I bet that she practiced a lot on this stage with a harness to get used to how much space she had. Also, remember that list of songs I gave you, this one was on it for a reason! lol. Akatsuki is also performed on this stage. In that little part before the puppet sounding music, you can tell Su has to try really hard to not have a huge smile on her face.
Yep, Su is so badass!! 🦊 🖖❤
A terrific performance by a 16 year old girl.
This is why she is the Queen
Another SU solo is Akatsuki and she kills it! This woman is absolutely amazing 🤘🏼🦊❤️
The unfinished version is unbelievable.
Here is an excerpt from an interview with RollingStone (April 2014 issue):
Q: Concerning Su-metal's solo songs we see that 'Akumu no Rondo' has been released as a new single.
"Kagerou" (Live at Legend-MM with Kami Band intro): ruclips.net/video/Bm8bEV0ireg/видео.html
"YAVA!" (Live at Legend-MM with Kami Band intro): ruclips.net/video/AyMx-cIq4C4/видео.html
And "Metali!" at both shows (although you already did the song).

second for 'Kagerou' (especially, of course, Legend MM).
Sigh!
There 2 types of people in this world. People who know and love Babymetal. And people who didn't give them a real chance YET.
Now you understand our lifelong Dedication and Love for them :) They are just on their own Level.
This chorus might very well be my favourite melody ever. It‘s so sinister, moody and beautiful at the same time.
Congratulations to Su-Metal for being announced as best female metal vocalist of the year 🤘 🦊 🔥 🎉
Yeah!!! Finally our Queen!! I told you Kitsune, I told you! This song and performance are absolutely Amazing!! No more words!! You need watch now, Amore live! Su is simply Perfect!! See you!!
I am seated for this.

The kami Band has just demonstrated its virtuosity. It's your turn, the platform rises in the darkness of the Budokan and you dance and you sing, you're 16 and you're the Queen.
THIS is the performance that made me say: I NEED to see them live. 🙂
Yup, that's definitely Boh, knit cap and all. Awesome, as he IS my favorite bassist.
Aaah I’m jealous. Became a fan a few years ago, too late to witness Kami East. Would have loved to see and hear Boh on stage with that 6-string Atelier-Z custom!!
At the beginning of Uki Uki Midnight at this show all three of them are dancing on that small raised platform. They are really fearless.
and they end up their including a gong as well during Headbangèr 😁🤘🏼🦊
if you liked the kami band solo you should also watch kagerou drums are crazy on this
That's a great Western Kami Band showcase.
Anthony Barone is a beast.
Agreed
Agreed!
Go for AKATSUKI !!
Yes! Starting with the "unfinished" version from *Legend 1997.* Then doing the metal version from *Budokan Black Night.*
You, esteemed sir, have excellent taste to appreciate the revolutionary style of Babymetal, in such a passionate way.
Nice reaction..
Awesome performance.. she is the queen 𝄡🦊

"Rondo Of Nightmare (悪夢の輪舞曲; Akumu No Rondo)"

The waning moon has lit up
the insanity rampant in the shade
The laughter resounds around
It bares its fangs and its eyes gleam
I can’t escape from it
It flickers slowly
appearing and disappearing in my mind
A nightmare rondo is being repeated
The awakening light
is gone far away out of my sight
I can do nothing but run
through the darkness
In the woods, in the fountain
I hide myself holding my breath
but it’s still coming closer to me
A stagnant voice. An endless night
Ah…
If I can no longer get out of here
won’t you show me your figure?
It flickers slowly
appearing and disappearing in my mind
A nightmare rondo is being repeated
The awakening light
is gone far away out of my sight
I can do nothing but fall
into the darkness
This song Su-Metal brings you to the dark side and tells you a story thru the journey and it enticed you.

You also should react to "Catch Me If You Can" from the same concert with "Kami Band Intro", here's the link:-
ruclips.net/video/YiAJeKgufMk/видео.htmlsi=kbkxZtuQH74XCcXJ
They were back at the Budokan as part of their 10th anniversary celebration and played 10 shows over the first 3 or 4 months of 2021.
Hell yeah, love the transition from the awesome metal solos to the song. Su’s appearance is chilling, “Deploy the 16-year-old girl to melt faces!”
It felt like an AK-47 mag dumping on full auto into my musical soul… 🤯🙂↔️
PS, when you end up doing the full Wembley 2016 show, there’s an even more amazing version of this with Mikio in place of Leda Cygnus (1st guitar solo).
Don't forget Yava.
@@paulmarks3662 Very true. Several to choose from.
BABYMETAL is not METAL.
METAL is BABYMETAL.🦊🤘🔥
now THAT is a statement Jake !
This whole performance is insane!
Yeah, I went from being “dismissive” with Gimme Choco / Doki Doki Morning to this song as my 3rd experience, followed by Road of Resistance.
Instant 180, and fan for life, lol.
Kami were amazing at that time. I agree - they need more space, more possibilities to show how good they are 🙂 Thumb up Bro and greetinz from Poland!
I love the Kami band intro on this, especially the bass player, Su did great! One of my favorite songs ❤
If you want more Kami band intros, try out;
-Catch Me If You Can.
Show Leda some love!
Bo’s bass solo ❤❤❤
What a great reaction! She was already a metal queen at this point. Since then she has ascended to even higher limits.
And if you want to see song with Kami Band intro, check out :
- Cacth Me If You Can (from Black Night too)
- Kagerou with Kami Band intro
This band is so badass!
I’m down! Solo Su owns the stage
Yupp! And don't forget about the death stare
This is a brilliant rendition. I wish they reintroduced this into the playlist
I haven't seen you explicitly write down to do both the metal version (preferably from the same concert you just watched; Budokan Black Night), as well as the "unfinished" version (from *Legend 1997* only), so make sure to add that to your document right away 🙂
if you wnat more bass and drum solo, check "Catch me if you can" and "kagerou".
"Akatsuki" for a great guitar battle.
Babymetal song" Amore"react.
⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥
That was a sixteen year old Su.
That Black Night Budokan concert from March 2014 is still one of my favorite BABYMETAL concerts.
When they consolidated, that message was not so important: we will love them even if they switch to trap music :)
PS: Speaking about falling off the stage...
This is why her vocals are AMAZING for heavy metal
In this performance:
Guitar (1st solo): Leda Cygnus
Guitar (2nd solo): Takayoshi Ohmura
Bass: BOH
Drums: Hideki Aoyama
One of my favorites for sure!
And of course the Metali! intro which has been played often lately
If someone says thats not metal, SHOW THEM AKATSUKI live at Budokan 2015. INSANE.
She was most likely 16 here .. interesting to see her without the other two .. she’s so amazing in this
Ye, I think 10 was an exaggeration for the sake of argument that Su was just a kid at that time.
Akatsuki live at budokan black night
A classic. New fans are blown away by the Kami. Seasoned fans are concerned for Su's saftey. 😉
And old fans are just making that finger gesture and saying, silently, "the fox god knows."
In older shows, BM used to do 1 or 2 instrumental solo for every show
They brought them back recently, with an instrumental intro for Metali!
And in bigger shows, they did it for Yava! and Kagerou!
OG Kami bad goes so damn hard
Technically, the original Kami Band members were Hiroki Arai and Shiren on guitars, RYO on bass and SHIN on drums.
They performed at 'Legend I', October 6th, 2012, with a two song encore.
This is certainly a classic lineup, even without Mikio Fujioka.
🍻
Su is absolutely fantastic & always has been. Her ability here at 16 was mind blowing and she then got even better.
Great reaction as always. I like the current Kami band a lot but can't help but regret never seeing the original version
You shouldn't worry about the 'not metal' talk.
I belive recently Kami Band has its moment before "Metali".
This is my favorite video that features the Kami band with solos. Su gets to really show her voice off too. If
I remember correctly, there is a video of YAVA! that has Kami band solos. Enjoyed watching your face as they performed . I miss seeing your dog sleeping in the background, lol.
Yeah, there was A LOT of anger, angst and confusion when BabyMetal first appeared at metal concerts 😱
My fav reaction of all time (so far...) ruclips.net/video/PeARpcDimx4/видео.htmlsi=KvNkbNTlYYDnYr-K&t=188
They got quite a bit of support from BIGLY metal bands at the time, most notably I guess, Rob Halford of Judas Priest did some songs with them. I'm not a metal guy, so I don't know a lot about metal and these bands, but I've certainly heard of them. Did make a difference with acceptance 👍🏽
This went on for quite some time though BabyMetal eventually won over most metalheads and were going to be UUGE regardless 🌟
🍅💀🍅
🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Queen surrounded by Kamis !
great reaction!!!. I recommend you listen to akatsuki, which has the normal version and the unfinished version.
Wait til you watch "In the name of" opening the Legend S concert for some totally not-metal spectacle 😇
@@TheLeomarti I watched this on my Patreon last night!
Finally! 😁 🤘🦊🤘
You should watch KAGEROU, the intro from west kami band
Absolutely killer of a song! It's 2014 so she is 16 or 17 here, not 10 😂
I also want Kami band to be featured more, sometimes they're playing such cool solos but we don't get to see that
Su was 16.
She celebrated her birthday a few months before this at LEGEND 1997.
🦊🦊🦊
Catch if you can also has a Kami band showcase , there are a number of songs that do it
akatsuki from the same show is someting special with guitarist dueling up front.
In fact, Kami-b has a lot of intros on different shows. At the same time, both the old and the new line-up
Reacting Babymetal No rain no rainbow
The performance by the band solo is great. However, as soon as the vocal appears and starts singing, everyone gasps at her beauty and recognizes that she is the protagonist.❤
Now it’s time for another Su solo, check out amore from wembley
There are lots of songs with Kami Intros. They are all excellent. 🤘🦊🤘
YES! SO METAL! this and Akatsuki are my favorite songs
You need to check out syncopation too. Another AMAZING song that is under-rated in my opinion!
Masterpiece 💜🫶🏻🫶🏻💜
did you hear about when yui fell poor thing you can see her crying on stage while still dancing
You are right. Yes, BABYMETAL is METAL!
👊🏽⚡️🦊🤘🏾
the 2nd solo guitar was not full showing his potential because he is using the extra scale 666 mm neck which is he tell from other interviewied for rythm specialist sound guitar, to make more firm sound on his rythm guita rand with that extra scale the string was so tense hard to bend, thats why he somehow not showing a full speed picking, BTW that 2nd guitarist takayoshi ohmura is a legend already. he known for his Picking style called ohmura picking. the way he pick is so fast but only her thumb and index finger was showing movement not the whole hand. but you can watch other solo with babymetal when he is perform with other guitar, especially the pink one.
also would be cool if you trying to do reaction video Takayoshi Rig somehow ruclips.net/video/4ZhZUBG6SGM/видео.htmlsi=9TimE_JpvCs1FKS3
🤘🦊🤘
we have kami band solos in 2024 too lol
BABYMETAL - Kagerou at Legend MM 2024
If Rob Halford says they are metal, that’s good enough for me. BABYMETAL performed Breaking the Law and Painkiller with Rob.
Amen! Judas Preist has a definitive say on the matter
There's a bass solo in the middle of the song Amore, also a Su solo song.
Let's promote "Sis Anger" song
absolutely necessary ❤
Yeah the show with the tall towers was one of the 2015 Trilogy shows I believe. At least in the pyramid they did have a rail and safety ropes
最高🙌
I love Boh🧡
Thank you for your great reaction🌟
A song is about Su in a dream and being chased by some evil demon and she is in a hiding place and realizing she cannot escape. She asked for one boon from the creature. Can I see you before you kill me?
That is metal
we told you this was sic!
You’re were lying!!
KAMIBAND member on this video :
-Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar)
-Leda Cygnus (blue gitar)
-BoH (bass)
-Hideki Aoyama (drum)
they really² good musician ❤
Here are some recommended versions of _Akatsuki_ (in chronological order), for whenever you manage to get around to it :-)
I believe the very first time Akatsuki was ever performed live was at *Legend I* in 2012. But this was before the Kami Band, and Babymetal had the Babybones pretending to play the instruments. It's actually quite hilarious to see them do the guitar solos! But this performance is maybe more of a novelty, and not something you necessarily need to react to :-)
ruclips.net/video/XdHAgFQeOhI/видео.htmlsi=Gz56JP4ul5RYODkf
I would suggest you start with the _Unfinished_ version from *Legend 1997* (2013), which is probably my favorite Su vocal performance ever:

A big frustration for some of the bigger Babymetal fans is the relatively large amount of post production cleanup done to Su's voice for the official DVD releases of these concerts. The sound quality is not exactly great, so maybe you shouldn't react to it in your video, but you have it here if you are curious:

The most famous performance of the "regular" metal version of the song was probably at *Budokan Black Night* in 2014. It's very good at giving Takayoshi and Leda the spotlight they deserve during their amazing solo work. This is perhaps the definitive version to react to:

There is a filmed rehearsal of Akatsuki from before Babymetal's show at *The Forum* in London, 2014.
👍 👍
Suzuka was born to be in the spotlight.
I would also include the unfinished version of Akatsuki
Yeah, let's not forget _Akatsuki Unfinished!_ I've noticed he's not actually written that down in his notes, so he might miss it!
Es gibt von Babymetal viel Videomaterial in sehr jungen Jahren aus ihrer Schulzeit super zum anschauen Gruß aus Thailand 😉
