Guest Stars Bewitched Star Elizabeth Montgomery and Acadamy Award Winner and Star of Mission Impossible Marlan Brando Playing Password from 1966 Happy Throwback Thursday.
I actually met a lady in 1981 named Donna Wallis--but after the first Password series was over! Donna was an assistant at a school and we did cooking classes there that year! As for Password itself, I do remember seeing the show!
I can see Lizzie think I imagine her with a thought bubble over her head with the words WHAT? But for snoop if I could I would say Gladys Cravats 👍👍👌👌 You feel me?
Back in when I saw this in the 60s, it was just a simple game. The only bonus game (if you can call it that) was the "Lightning Round" (similar to the "Speed Round" I see on GSN's Chain Reaction). Both Password Plus and Super Password (NBC) had the bonus game called "Alphabetical".
A test pattern. Liz was a trip. 😅 She was as funny as they come. And yet, she was an excellent dramatic actress as well. I have an online article on BEWITCHED and some of the fun things that went on onset. It tells of an incident where everybody broke out in laughter. Paul Lynde pointed to Liz and said, it's all her fault. 🙂 Bill Asher tried to get everybody's attention, but couldn't. So he yelled "Lunch!", at 10:30am. 🙂 This is one reason why people loved working with her, and the fact her being unpretentious.
Broadcast History: The original Password ran on CBS from 1961 to 1967, on ABC from 1971 to 1975, as Password Plus on NBC from 1979 to 1982 (sadly, Allen passed away during that series run), as Super Password (also on NBC) hosted by Bert Convy from 1984 to 1989 (not counting repeats that ran in 1990) and again on CBS as the short-lived Million-Dollar Password hosted by Regis Philbin from 2008 to 2009. If Fremantle Media (who owns the rights to all of these Goodson-Todman game shows) ever reprise it again, I would like it to be just like it was in the 1960s along with the end game "Alphabetical",
That's Martin Landau of "Mission: Impossible!" Nice!
RIP Marlon Brando 1924-2004

This ladies name is La Donna. 🌼
The contestant Ron from the first two games reminds me of the British actor Nicholas Hoult. 💥
I was thinking he looked a lot like Adam Scott (from Parks & Recreation)

Elizabeth Montgomery was so humble , but the announcer calling her beautiful was putting it mildly.
Felix Castro Really! She had charm and class in spades! They just don't make stars like Elizabeth Montgomery anymore! She is soooo missed!
