Ninja stuff is still viable, though you'll have to work extra to make it really worth it, due to supposedly increased resistance from enemies in way of the wise. Without atk x2 working like it did for me, it'd drop a lot of spots from the top builds/wpns.
HOW TO GET GEAR
Start crossing your fingers, since you're going to need a lot of luck/time to build this, especially if you haven't gotten a decent build for handling end-game yet. Every smithing text is near irrelevant due to ethereals. However, luckily, there's really only 2 ethereals you need. That is the wpn, and the gloves. This will go for nearly every build, the other stuff can be divine if you're using normal sets. So, farm sanada for ethereal gloves (and his wpn but can be divine). I actually farmed him with my devastator build using paralytic groundfire on the elevated platform (which he died in 2-4 blast after each parahax). If he doesn't drop gloves/wpn, quit game to restart at shrine and try again. Repeat for...hours. Same for iga wpn, except I got sanada stuff first so taking down two ninja's was easy-er. You might think "doing honzo dojo as alternative to getting ethereal iga wpn?" Don't waste your time. The drop rates were abysmal. As mentioned slots don't matter too much, you only benefit from the 4 I mentioned.
Aside from that, forge divine tatenashi helm+boots (weighs less than waist+boots like i have). ranged wpns can be whatever till you get 2 amaterasu pieces. charms you want yasakani with thrown dmg or x2, same with the other charm. Do trail of the master trick to get more charms. And that's about it.
EXTRA THOUGHTS
Tonfa's left a bad taste in my mouth, so when thinking about what kind of op builds to make, instead of lw, I decided why not test ninja to see if it's still viable. LUCKILY, it's just good enough to still be OP (for bosses). Big sigh of relief, you can't really waste time with sub-par builds early in the dlc for this dlc, since ethereals being drop only is a headache. Luckily for you I worked hard on testing this build and this is the best version you're going to get, as far as gear setup goes and maybe damage.
That said, killing normal guys seems to be a bit...meh. Bosses are easy since weakness talisman is crazy op in wise, huge damage boost. But you can't really waste it on normal namehage or something, so it takes a few kunai to kill even with x2. Hence, the whole "top 3-5" talk at the end there. Kills most bosses super fast, but too early to compare to other builds (and I think once x2 catches on it'll be more apparent which is top for dmg) and whether that makes up for rather slow speed for normal mobs. But that's about it I guess, gonna pass out now xD I put extra work in this vid, hopefully it shows and you were informed/entertained :)

Btw, if you don't have the ethereals yet, you can work around this by removing tatanashi, then adding a 6th pc of sanada for atk x2, which will obviously do more than sticking with tata. Then use enku for dash nullify, and enjoy most of your damage still early in wotw if you only got divine gear :) Also keep in mind yokai realms make the nullify/atk x2 buffs drain super quick, stay out of them and/or lure enemies out of them. purification atk x2 on boots allows you to at least keep your dmg, such as in the restless spirits clip in the video (Dash atk>ki pulse>throw).
Can you do i starting build for wotw ?
honestly just use whatever you had before. If you made it end-game way of the demon, then you could take the same for way of the wise (will be harder, but that's the point of the difficulty). Any good build from before-dlc, will be a good starting build for wotw. I used my devastator tonfa build, and that was a slow process with some struggle at certain points. Or if you want to stick with ninja then just do what my pinned comment said (the comment you replied too). Should retain most of the damage seen in the video (obviously less, but good enough).

Love this build. Took me forever to get the thrown weapon inheritable gloves x3 through crafting. I got 1 set of glove x2 thrown weapon damage inheritables in every 200-300 glove crafts. You definitely need to build up enough mats to craft about 100x gloves then save scum craft over and over to get them.

I just hit level 750 and using a ninja Iga build. However, it is kind of weak in the abbys. How do I make it better? Stats are as follows: Body-200 Heart-20 Stamina-25 Strenght 17 Skill-200 Dexterity-200 Magic-30 and Spirit 100.
Really looking forward to another broken Living Weapon build. I assume some of the ethereal Odachis are going to be insane.
is this build still relevent? I'm using a kunai build with Iga Jonin and Aya-Komori. I've gotten to way of the demon and I'm still satisfied with my kunai damage, but if Iga jonin is gonna drop off compared to this now is the time to start working on becoming Naruto.

So i have been running into this issue alot, my dash attacks don't trigger enku's buff or the scion buffs. Im not sure if i am missing something or not here. Do i need to be holding down the dash button and then try and press attack while holding down dash? Or is there some other prerequisite i am missing.
Jaocb Harris For the buff, you need to be sprinting before you attack. Good piece of advice is if there is an enemy in front of you, hold the x button down, and run backwards then forwards so you don't have to cover too much distance then attack. Also, before every fight, SPRINT in and attack. Just tapping x will make your character dodge/evade, and that is something different.

later, on your armor, you can get a skill called evasion attack. that is dodging first then attacking,
as mentioned in the vid, keyword, HOLDING. Also, you got to hit them to activate it. Take the toad/onryoki clips as clear examples. I run towards him (dashing) then while doing, so, attack, and it triggers the buff. Keep in mind yokai realms will drain the buff icons super fast to last about 1-2 seconds at most.
How well does this build hold up 5 years later? I love your content been binge watching it since a friend and I started playing through trying to platinum the remaster.

Can someone explain to me how in the text box for the green effects on ethereal weapons, it says "when an enemy hits you with a dash/evasion attack" is that just a translation error as it seems a lot less useful than getting the buff after you perform the attack
Hey I just wanted to say parry disabled is also a perk you can role on a weapon you prol already know that and Hanso is also in the dojo you can prol farm his stuff on way of the wise dojo
don't need it for weapon. If anything "relieved status ailments (timely guard) on gloves would be better, as that gets rid of weaken melee weapon debuff. Also the dojo, from my time with it, had terrible drop rate for both divine and ethereal. Never gotten any in the 6+ times I killed him. onikiba is not mandatory, it does nothing except replenish ninjutsu, so you can use whatever ethereal wpn you have until you eventually get one.
Woa that damage great stuff, I get bored of the Kunai builds easily. Anyways I'm still using your Raijin Build and quite frankly it's gotten me through Way of the Wise quite easily, is there a way to improve the build?
How does it works with non ethereal things? I mean only divine weapons and armour. How much damage i could do in way of the wise with only divine gear?
half as effective, since, you wouldn't have atk x2 from ethereal gloves/wpn. I guess you can do full scion instead of tatenashi, and used horse for nullify damage to retain atk x2 and nullify, but it'd be slightly worse. I can't say how much damage you'd do, you'd have to find that out yourself since its totally dependent on your gear.
I got REALLY lucky... I was playing through the Silver Mine level and had the Iga sword drop as an ethereal, with a +20 ranking. I am curious though... since you're already going with an Iga weapon, why not go Iga instead of Tatenashi?
is it possible to get thrown weapon x2 % anymore? All im getting from way of the strong bandits is Thrown damage.
That thrust damage on Sanada set and his GS though...I guess it's time to switch my Iga set for Sanada's on my 2nd character.

May I ask why you chose to go w/ 2 pcs Tatenashi instead of 2 more pcs of Iga for the huge boost to Ninjutsu power?
From my test it didn't match up well enough to be worth it, since you're not only losing 3-6% or so off from not having ninjutsu damage bonus A (since you'd be replacing it with EWDB on ranged wpn) but you'd also be losing 5 or more % from not reaching 30.1 weight from EWDB, since you won't get the full 15% dmg boost from it. So combine those however those % are, and the iga ninjutsu buff doesn't quite make up the same damage. You can't reach a agility with scion+iga I don't think, so you can't gain the full damage bonus of a agility to make up the loss of EWDB (when using the bat).
Also you're more squishy with iga due to tatenashi giving more dmg reduction, but also reducing firearms damage. It's just better overall in other words. even if the dmg is on par, the benefits I mentioned will outweigh it. Even if the damage somehow surpasses it, it's probably only by 100-300 damage or so at best, which would do diddly squat in killing faster. Though you'd have to test it yourself to see if it's worth it for your setup.
I think the only down side of this build is that some enemy in Wise throw things that disable your item usage but overall, with Scion of Virtue thrust damage bonus is helping this cheese build a lot. Hope they increase the gold earn on Restless Spirit in Wise to make it more worth it.

I keep hearing things about gold and whatnot but honestly I haven't run into problems at all. Is it because people are soul matching their lv200 divine gear to 250? Perhaps that's the mistake they're making, since with my tonfa build I never upgraded anything and just kept chugging through wise till I farmed enough for this build. I hear they need to increase amrita for wise though. 2billion to lvl up around lv450 or something seems crazy.
PWARGaming Patch 1.16 is out apparently and it buffs amrita in wotw. You can get billions of amrita (8 billion+) with the right build from what i've read.

lol idk, I stuck to jpnese lore/gods for some names so guess it worked out xD And idk, i haven't tested yet. Are you using the horse? They specifically mentioned enku in patch notes (patch vid will be up in a few hours).
1.18 is now out and I'm still running my old ninja build. Is the attack damage x2 thing still worth running now that the duration has been nerfed to like 2 seconds? I feel like it'll wear off before you can even throw a kunai.
I'm still working through WoTW since I took a break from the game, but I think Iga Jounin got buffed in 1.18 now too. Is the extra ninjutsu power and AA ninjutsu boost worth it? Alternatively, what about the Hayabusa set?
not worth, it's pure trash now. both effects. AA from what i remember is only like 1-2% better, so, probably not. The new hayabusa 3pc set increases attack whenever you hit with ninjutsu, unsure if it effects kunai dmg, but might be worth fitting in if so.
It doesnt unfortunately, all it has to do with ninjitsu is that the buff is applied when you USE ninjitsu on an enemy, be that a paralytic groundfire, kunai, etc, but the buff just enhances weapon attack damage, doesnt have any effect on ninjitsu, I was sad to find that neither does hino enmas +60% paralyzed damage that gave me such big numbers combined with other skills and paralyzing traps ha, paralyzing didnt increase my kunai attacks =(
and so currently, the best would still be all this, just forget about getting the green dash effects? or does that mean I should use bloodstained hatchets as weapon instead for the full life bonus?

I don't really like naruto haha I've watched a bit here and there and stopped around when madara entered the scene, just can't deal with all the filler and junk constantly. But yah I tried looking for a good jpn voice line, but couldn't find one, so just stuck with whatever came up first and sounded clear without background music or junk. I enjoyed the first season dub, but then what I saw of shippuden was jpnese.
Does the weaken melee weapon debuff only apply to your first slot weapon or to both or to the weapon you have out

hi, i just set my build to exactly the same as yours, but why i still can't get the same amount of damage like you did???
the only diff with yours are my main weap is Oninamida Muramasa (not as good as onikiba dash atk). but the damage only around 11k - 16k after dash atk hit WotW boss... and it already an AFB atk.
i build it exactly as yours, except for the onikiba, and the set bonus increase damage conv atk are in scion's spear.

assuming you have 99 dex+skill? What's your thrown wpn x2 / thrwn wpn dmg%? Also what bosses are you fighting? Some bosses will take way less damage from kunai. Do you have all the stats on wpn right? ranged weapon? dual sword passives? kunai dmg passives? Are you sure you're getting the atk x2 buff (sword icon pops up with x2) and using kunai before it runs out? Are you using weakness talisman?
PWARGaming yes both my dex&skill are 99. TWD x2 around 102% and TWD around 50%
the boss that i fought are Restless Spirit on WotW and some other. My setup are almost exactly the same as yours. and i got ethereal onikiba just noe frm Iga Style. yet the damage are still around 11k-16k. i did exactly the as on the video. like.. use weakness then sprint do dash atk, then go behind, hit with kunai.

restless spirits has yokai fields which by the time you get to the back, your x2 will be done (since you have to hit otani first while launches you into the yokai field, draining your x2). Do you have atk x2 purification on boots? that's how I kept x2 atk during those kind of fights (dash atk > ki pulse> throw). Are your armor bonuses active? You need 18 bod/19 str for scion.
Do you have attack from behind on weapon? I have 84% x2 TWD, and 63% TWD%, so I'm doing more damage than your setup. Take thrwn x2 off a charm and replace with damage. Do you also have shuriken+kunai damage on gloves? What clan are you using? Most people should be doing higher damage than me if they did everything perfectly, since I don't have a clan that gives damage in the video. Instead of restless, test against Ganryu and do the same I did in the video, and see if your single kuna dmg is close to the 63k I did from behind after dash attack (make sure the 2x icon is up when you throw the kunai).
owhh got that now.. seems like ive been doing it all wrong in term of dash atk, i thought using X then press square are the dash atk, i noticed that your animation kinda different, so i figure it out. guess just hold X then press square (while doing sprint).,
i hv all the set bonus just exactly as yours, yes i hv x2 purif on boots. and switched my acc with TWD not TWDx2. now has 84% TWDx2 59% TWD.

Does the bonus still work cause I got the dash attack X2 damage but it's not working after the latest patch
it does work still, since I just uploaded a new video using the same thing but most of the footage is post 1.16. You hold x (sprint), and keep holding it while moving, then attack. keyword, KEEP HOLDING X (or whatever your sprint button is configured too), until after you've attacked. yokai realms will sap the buffs right away though so avoid them or lure enemy out of them, then dash attack.

Myturbanis Dirty Naruto is more commonly known. Plus, tenten uses ninja tool summoning srolls, where as in nioh, you actually throw them.
Maybe sauske or itachi since they were precise with their Kumar abilities.

way of the demon? Should be, just remember a lot of your damage is dependent on the inheritables (thrown wpn damage x2 + %), that's kunai builds downside, otherwise it's meh compared to more easier to-build builds like lw or axe builds.

sure, more damage = more damage lol and yes, honestly, I'd ditch tata for full scion set, as it has dash atk x2, which obviously be better than tatenashi's 10% damage its giving you (the set is 15% at 30.1 weight, but really that just means you gain agility A on wpn, since you would have used equipment weight otherwise). And yes enku as primary, unless you find your defense or damage enough to kill at a distance, to which you can use bat instead.

the dash attack perks are OP, stack that with dash attacks for x2 attacks... easy bosses kills.

Order_Darkbane there's a ethereal set that gives you extra 40% on the quickdraw skill for the sword
Order_Darkbane It's the grace of futsunushi you need 5 pieces to get the bonus try and get it on ranged or melee weapons so you can combine it with the the Tate bonus on armor just a suggestion
yah I want to try that set out, problem is it's drop only from revenants I believe, and I can't get it since I'm on patch 1.14, thus can't go online :( I'll probably farm amrita for my other characters to be 400-420 before updating, before trying to make that build. All down the road however.

what's your gear/build currently? and lvl? Weakness + carnage + tiger running should be easy kill for him with a competent weapon (say, 180+14 or something) and at least one set bonus or two. Soon as you enter run (dash) towards him, he'll do the body slam thing, which lets you go behind him for easy back damage. If you need to, use enko for nullify dmg and just keep doing a dash atk every 4 seconds or so.
PWARGaming okay. im using an odichi build and im level 312.
I've been doing a mage build. Ying-yang tonfas with black fox mask, i also got my kusari and tonfa to both have "change to attack (magic)" or whatever its called that scales your weapon with your magic stats. It makes the PvE pretty easy but it isn't nearly as fast as this. I used piedes, shadowround, quickchange, weaken, watershot, fireshot, and lightning shot. The new magic is kinda lame except purging, and I'm not sure if bonus fireshot dmg applies to the new fireball, same w other elements. I use the 3 elements so i can always trigger chaos. Its a shame pvp never got polished, all i do is farm RNG nowadays. Sigh. Trying to get motivated for wotw, really wish they would've added some sort of ninja invasion PvP elements similar to DS invasions

no lie, I run this same build, but with attack on all armor with gunsticks. I like how you make your builds to where they aren't TOOOOO far apart from eachother, allowing your viewers to try them out and not use too much gold.

Why use the chain weapon?
Any tips for some one who's barely in new game plus? I'm a level 115.
full divine iga, enough stats to wear everything and use spirits (think like 15 spirit or something, unless you have enku spirit unlocked then you can at least get enough spirit to unlock its thrust attack damage skill), get magic up, then pump the rest into dex until 99, then start pumping skill up.
Damage will increase if you can get TWD x2 or % on gear, but I doubt you'll be able to find those easily if you haven't gotten some already. At least get twd x 2 on gloves if you can (reforge), and then eventually you'll get TWD x2 on both charms, which should add up to 50%. Then you'll be sitting pretty for the rest of your playthrough of ng+ and maybe even wotd.
Watching your videos, reading guides... still I have not decide what weapon to focus to have fun. I have been playing dual swords so far and beat the all the bosses till 3rd boss easily (BB experience helped me a lot). Still I cannot focus the game as I could not decide the weapon yet. What is your favourite weapon so far?
tonfa's would be my top, but they're too weak. I've spoiled myself on power and don't really find fun in sub-par damage. I think I enjoy axe spin2win or kusa/odachi lw the most. Lw builds are especially my favorite. I like spear the least. Sword+2kats are on the lower end as well. Don't have a favorite, I simply switch from one build to another, and usually only focus on 1 weapon or playstyle, so it constantly changes for me, and thus, the boredom rarely kicks in.

Armagedon9876 The tonfa build will probably work best considering it takes less time to make it. You could also parry them all to death with kingo/wotw combo like i like to do.
any build that you can use luck(lw) and the bunny and still them kill fast. Paralytic groundfire makes it easy, just pick a weapon that can one-shot stuff or for lw sake kill them in 2-4 hits. I have a video of an option with a easy gear setup for more dmg, or you can parry+final blow, or you can use mizuchi. lw luck build + paralytic will always be the best however as far as drops.

nope that's the set you get for beating Yukimura Sanada on the new DLC. Getting his gears smithing text is a pain but it does gives you thrust damage bonus 18% for 5 pieces so it worth it. In case you didn't know, thrust damage passive increase damage your kunai and storm kunai deal.
The bonus set you are talking about is the "Sanada Crimson" set. It's only a 5 piece medium armor only that gives Ki and skill damage bonus.
Both set looks identical with the exception that the Scion of Virtue have a yellow outline in the menu and it is a heavy armor set.
Its in the dlc, drops off the boss in the last dlc mission.
Ryan Nguyen Farming his set is easy if you kill him on way of the samurai. Just kill him while having a lot of luck and quit to the main menu if the smithing text doesn't drop.

not that i know of. You have to delete game data or save data from what I heard so probably not worth it. Maria's supposedly a decent place to farm since she can drop crux crystals in wotw, but I can't confirm. no idea how much old farming place gives in wotw either. From what i heard it isn't enough.

PWARGaming Bro I've fuck up, I deleted my game and all of the save data and cos I'm a bloody idiot I didn't put my save data on a USB. all this was cos I was pissed of with alot of the updates so I just wanted the raw game so then I can control if I want to have a update are not. So it didn't work!!!! I'm fucking lost atm I put in over 1000hours on the game, I was at the end of wotw with amazing gear which took me so long. my god i have al armor but i can't get to drop thrown damage 2x, is there anything that i need to do to get them ?
try killing revenants in way of the strong, since its your only chance at getting them since higher lvl/difficulty revenants randomized all stats. Or, go to whatever difficulty you can kill marobashi fastest (except samurai, ng+ probably best) and kill, kill, kill. stack as much luck as possible, use paralytic groundifre like i did to keep them still for easy back damage. And grind.
I'm doing this for ethereals and have gotten lots of inheritable attack and thrwn wpn dmg gloves, so you should too for ng+ version since most divines will have inheritables and difficulty doesn't effect whats stats roll (obviously ethereals roll more stats, but pretty sure they don't make normal things appear more often so it's not like they're better for inheritables, if that makes sense).

Your vids are better than ever and the Nioh-epicness is still going strong, eh? :p I'll be getting the DLC soon but hey, can you clarify how I can sustain a living weapon build post-patch? I got back to nioh after a few months and it was like really difficult to sustain the Susanoo build for some reason. I'm gonna leave everything for the Odachi when I get access to it so how good are those? Seem to be versatile with that long reach and good attack speed. Are you gonna put out more of those Odachi builds? Cuz I found out about Way of Demons today and got a bit nervous after looking at that 450+ mission level when I'm just 272 and not getting enough amrita from the last story mission lol. Hope you don't mind the long essay heh
Its died down a bit, don't think i will ever get the views i got when I first started making nioh videos (since well game is not as popular anymore). But sure, lw got nerfed a long while back, you can't keep it up indefinitely, it'll die out within 2 minutes or so, always (so gone are the days of going demonking all the through).
Odachi is arguably the best lw wpn atm, though I hear kusa got a come back due to its strong attack being good (instead of blade spin, which was nerfed by 24%). Being in critical (make sure no healing stats on gear) will make lw last much longer than full. Getting hit obviously cuts down on your lw time. lv272 is good enough for the bare-minimum of pretty much any build. See my salamandara build for an easy time through wotd, which should last you through all of wotw too till you get better gear/setup. For odachi you can use any odachi, bloodstain is the BiS, but considering you'll drop it for an ethereal odachi eventually, its not worth the grind since you can't farm specifically for it or forge it. Hope you enjoy the dlc man!
PWARGaming yeah LW got super nerfed and being in critical without it basically suicide lol. I was wondering if an Odachi build which focuses on DMG from Behind and Final Blows is possible? Imma check out that salamandra build and see what it offers but if you ever come around an Odachi build like that, do try and share it :p After I realized how unreliable the LW is, I edited the build with the equipment I had to make it more of a DMG from Behind and FB build with a Sword and Kusarigama since my Dex and Heart stats are at 70 and 84 respectively. I'm guessing Odachi weapons scale with Heart just like swords? My original play style in Nioh did focus on DMG from Behind but those Free update missions where you rush through bosses and revenants, some of em were a real pain until I mixed Nippon Steel and Susano into one and finally beat em all phew. As for the vids, the spikes happen but you've come a long way, bid and it's only gonna get better from here :p Looking forward to the DLC (and pack 3 :v)

none. None of those effect kunai. I suppose you can get more melee mastery if you wanted to tickle some smaller mobs with kusarigama/spear (spear's damage would be decent with thrust attacks actually).

been dicking around trying to make another build since salamandra is getting shit all over on by some bosses that can easily 1 shot the entire lw bar and i have to say. The defense jump from demon to wise is mind blowing. I can go from doing 60+ thousand with lumber chop on an axe in demon, and then in wise i only do 20ish thousand if i am lucky. I think way of the wise is completely reliant on the (damage x2) buffs to a fault and the bosses were specifically designed to be taken down easily by mainly those. Very annoying to be honest. The ethereal drop rate is almost a crime, even in twilight zones. Killed 10 revs and only got 1 drop. Boss didn't even drop one.
Hey im pretty fresh in this game. How do you get the inheritable options that you want to put in armor? Is there any specific best place to farm?
not any more I'd say, especially past way of the demon onwards, since all revenants gear stats are randomized. I'd just kill marobashi guys over and over. More loot dropped = more chances of inheritables. pretty simple, but there's no "guaranteed way" anymore really. If you're new-new, then inheritables don't really start appearing frequently until you get to ng+ for divines. They're rare on purple rarity or below.

depends, TWD x2 is only a CHANCE to get double damage. So, getting over "100%" doesn't benefit you at all. I stick with 82-85%, then use the rest for TWD% for more damage. Most of the time you'll hit for double damage, but also have more damge in general thanks to more TWD%. I have 84 x2 + 64 TWD% roughly.

Can Maroboshi drop ethereal tatenashi, or return of the gourd? I havn't seen a revenant with tatenashi ethereal anywhere, and idk where to farm. The divines on my equipment page are driving my ocd crazy lol
I think I got some pieces from there, yah, definitely more rare since you mostly get master gear. Surprised about the revenant thing though, its dropped a lot for me(when the stars aligned I actually got a ethereal drop), granted the drop rate is mind crushing. This whole ethereal thing is too extreme, i dislike it a lot.
Yeah I been killing revenants everywhere, but i think they need ethereal tatenash in order to drop tatenashi, although it could just be rng hates me because I got every single piece of scion set in ethereal while farming for gloves, before I finally got gloves lol. Also, I've seen a divine tatenashi boot drop from the corpse spot you showed in the other vid to farm amaterasu rifles, which would mean it is *possible* to get an ethereal one there...so...ethereal gear besides boss drops seems random as hell lol.

You can use this at lv 200, just get rid of tatenashi for 6th scion piece (so no leg armor to save weight), until you're lvl high enough to put pts into stamina to wear it. nulilfy dmg sorta makes defense irrelevant, so with enku you should be able to not worry much about defense, so long as you upkeep it.
where did you farm the ethereal tatanashi.
luck. Or i suppose you could try farming revenants, I heard you can get ethereal version of sets that already had set bonuses on them like kingo and whatnot. Nearly everyone is probably using tatenashi so it shouldn't be hard to farm.

Have farmed our red armored friend for 4 hours straight and received only the ethereal spear. You're not kidding when you say this is a difficult build to make. At this rate I should have it built by my 90th birthday.
EDIT: I'll never get this build. The drop rate is too low. I gave up. After killing him what seemed like hundreds of times, he decided to drop me Grace of Owatatsumi pieces instead. Team Ninja trolling 101 once again.
yah pretty sure I lost about 6 years off my maximum life (irl) from farming this shit xD The ethereal stuff isn't mandatory (as far as working decently goes), you can still make 6 pc divine one (you get atk x2 from 6th scion bonus), and use any ethereal wpn (onikiba not mandatory, honestly never even had to use the ninjutsu recovery, as far as boss rushing goes.) for the extra stuff I mentioned like nullify damage and whatnot. You lose tata bonus, but meh, 15% or whatever less damage isn't too big a deal. If you already have thrwn wpn x2 inheritables and junk ready, I'd say its worth it (as opposed to trying to make one another ethereal build that uses star effects and junk, now THAT is impossible) unless you already have something equally good or better to use.
But in general, I think we'll see less diversity, simply for the fact that farming and building is a lot more hard/time consuming, so people will be less inclined to play around with builds and just choose one for a long time. I think this difficulty kinda hurt the game more than helped it.
I'm right there with you man. I had hoped to go build crazy with the DLC but so far I'm still using the exact same build I finished WoTD with bar just a few modifications. I would like to persist with creating your Ninja build, as I think what you've created here is without doubt the best build for destroying WotW that we'll see, but I don't think I will. First off farming the gear is out for me, I just can't face it anymore. I could forge everything, but without the extra ethereal bonus it's damage will be a bit lower, and then add that to the fact I have to still farm for the inheritable thrown weapon damage and yeah, and knowing the kunai damage buffs will get nerfed (I can't see how they won't be nerfed) makes it all that harder to want to do it.
I can't even really forge much to help as I made a stupid error day before yesterday where I accidentally sold all of my resources (and I mean all of them, from day one), then saved my game over my only backup without realizing I'd done it. So I have nothing with which to forge/reforge now, and after, what, 1000 hours in game, that's so fucking deflating it's not funny (though it may be funny to someone reading this lol).
I think I might just finish WotW with my Sennin build (I'm literally 2 sub missions I've avoided away from completing every single mission). Then when I see how my resources have built back up and what (if any) good drops RNG have blessed me with, I'll take it from there.
But a big shout out to you for your persistence with these builds. I know first hand how hard it is to get the gear and resources to do it, so I know how much effort you're putting in. Good stuff mate, it's appreciated.

sure...if you plan to only use this build ever. Getting to this point wasn't easy, and I've already had my fair share of challenge in this game and on wise. Constantly being challenging is exhausting (sometimes frustrating, especially with the BS from wise stuff) too. So a mix of both isn't bad. The goal of my videos is to offer that escape from challenge, if people want it. challenge is easily found/made, something like this actually takes effort to make now, a challenge in itself.
On patch 1.14 still hmm wonder why;)

no specific place, just gotta get lucky with gloves, or waste your time trying to farm them from revenants in way of the strong bandits mission or slumbr mission and hope someone has some (has to be ng+ since ng++ randomizes all revenant stats). Farming marobashi fast = more loot = more gloves = more chances for atk/twd inheritables.

I was playing the new dlc and curious if the 3pcs ninjutsu bonus from the new hayabusa shinobi set outdamages the 3pcs weight damage bonus you get with tatenashi ? Anyone tried this ?
i haven't tried it, but it might, might not. tata bonus is 10% essentially, i doubt the hayabusa increase would be much more than that. maybe scrap scion for iga+tata+haya?
Late, but no it doesnt, it doesnt affect ninjitsu AT ALL, it only affects weapon attacks, it is a melee buff that is trigged BY using a ninjitsu ability on an enemy, hayabusa set does not have ANY positive affect on a thrown weapon build, in fact the only part of it that affects a thrown weapon build is in a negative way, it gives you unlimited (not really because it just uses up your ki, so you can throw a few still until your ki runs out) but reduces their damage to meaningless, its just a gimmick really, can be used to do no damage and reduce some weak enemies ki is all

If you just start strong then farm for the yasakani magatama first then using Tatenashi set, which is 4 pieces that gives 5 piece bonus with yasakani (farm Nobunaga for smithing text). Then 3 pieces warrior of the west that gives 4 pieces bonus with yasakani (gloves, sword, bow) then you have an extra weapon slot and melee slot you can pick whatever. This is a solid build for way of the strong. Alternatively you can switch out tatenashi set by kingo set for those damage from behind if you are into low stance single katana spam from behind enemy.
