And once again small town politics run by small town thinking ruins another tourist attraction. Simply amazing they could not come to some compromise; shame. Great video, you got it all ! Just love those GP-30's don't know why.

I'm just confused why RBMN couldn't just clarify the passenger service as an amusement and leave the freight tax-free. This screams of lack of communication between both parties.

The new bridge being built replaces a bridge that had been at that site that was torn down in Conrail days, and will allow the R&N to bypass Jim Thorpe en route from Tamaqua to White Haven. It will also give the R&N a wye there.

Any chance they could move to Quakertown Pennsylvania ? Or Pennsburg ? I think a scenic train would do well on the old Reading line from Pennsburg to Emmaus, and from Quakertown to Lansdale. I think there might be a full time passenger opportunity to bring people from Quakertown to Lansdale to take SEPTA to Philly

Roblox Railfaning And More well more like looking for a new home. The city of Jim Thorpe made the claim that the Lehigh Gorge scenic railway hadn’t paid what the city called an “amusement tax” in their time serving Jim Thorpe. LGSR snapped back by saying that they never had to pay that tax in the past and so began a heated dispute between the two that ultimately lead to LGSR deciding to leave Jim Thorpe all together. The railroad is working with reading and northern to look for a new home on the R&N. The city too has dropped a law suit against LGSR and R&N in hopes that they might come to a more peaceful solution. But only time will tell what will happen next.
