@@bammaynutterson Aron comes from a very musical family. His father is a great singer/songwriter who has some mean chops on acoustic guitar. One of his brothers plays drums as well and the other one guitar. Aron has the same vibe as Jeff Porcaro to me. We recorded a few tracks for his father, I played bass. My favourite track came about when Aron decided to play a loop for five minutes straight. And when recording was done he ripped into an insane drum solo. I told him he had to play it live. He said no but later Dirty Loops came out. Live he's insanely tight and glues the groove into perfection. One of the modern greats.
@@bammaynutterson dude, it was surreal. Even if Aron has some extraterrestrial shit going on behind the kit with his band, he grooves like a mofo and the pocket is deep when he wants it to.
It's SO refreshing to get a music video "reaction" from someone who knows what they're seeing and hearing, rather than from someone just sittin' and shittin' themselves over great playing!
Finally someone who has music training that analyzed this the way it should be. You said everything in this video I would want to say in my own review. Did you notice how brilliantly they stayed on with the sequence track even during the drum solo. And yes 1 was hard to find for some reason When I first heard it too...I think the bass stabs during the drum solo we’re in 12/8
Part of the fun of Dirty Loops is watching someone, especially fellow musicians who've never heard them, discover them. From."hmmmm, pretty good voice " to OMG!!!
They are great. As a bassist, I've seen a lot of Henrik Linder's bass clinics and solo stuff. He's a tremendous bassist. It's nice to see a great group of legit musicians getting out to a younger and broader audience. Reminds people that chopping up loops is great but you really go next level composing and playing the music yourself.
I cant believe how good they are and how great it is to hear a great new band, or new to me. They are my favorite band ever. OMG!!!!! Very excited and grateful to find them here.
I watched probably 25 of your reactions and one of the things I love the most is your ear. A musician is a musician, but a musician with an ear like yours is a gift to other musicians. Kudos From a fellow composer/drummer/singer. ❤️
Making music is a gift. Getting their music is a thought process. One of the best reactions I have seen, and one of the best band I have heard. This was just funcadelik
Finally someone who knows what they're talking about! There are so many DL reaction vids where the uploader is like "yeah it was good, pls like the video!", with them having no knowledge of music.
Thanks for the review! I'seen many other guys giving them top notch reviews on RUclips. However it seems to me you are the first to fully understand, point out and appreciate their separate uniqe qualities. They are pure world class. And I happen to live near where they live here in Stockholm.
Every time I hear the heavenly piano solo, I start to cry. Also listen to the funny work ‘song for lovers- old Armando had a farm’. Pure joy and fun. And sooooooo good!
Having followed these guys for years I've seen that the drummer got some stick for not being at the other two guys' level. So I think it's super touching (being a drummer myself) that they were like, "You go bro!!!" And my goodness didn't he go!!!
@@johnbrion4565 yeah definitely no one says that about him now for sure. Just mind blowing stuff. They’re all amazing and having QJ produce them is freaking awesome.
Hello!! Greetings from an American musician in Germany. Thank you so much for doing this video... I have actually met these guys and they are the most kindest dudes from the countryside in Sweden. Their story is amazing.... I’m sure you have looked it up by now... Funny thing is, The Swedes don’t dig these guys nearly as much as we appreciate them. Shame that they are not emotionally cut out for mainstream but that just means more for us that truly appreciate their artistry... Cheers!!!
I really enjoy your perspective on music and the quality reactions to them. I just started watching your videos and It is very enjoyable. I’m really looking forward to watching more. Thank you
You are right about the friends vibe. Three boys played music together in highschool in Stockholm. Went on to study together at the Royal Music Academy, were discovered by Q in 2012 who sent them on a tour with David Foster to Asia. Q produces and manages them still today. We love Dirty Loops (Swede here)! Great reaction as usual!
Their first manager, who sent them to Foster, was Andreas Carlsson. They’re signed with Quincy Jones nowadays, but he only manages them. They produce everything themselves, together with Simon Petrén. I heard one of them say, in an interview, that they don’t send Quincy anything, until it’s completely finished, not even demos. 😊
Nice to see your reactions. I see some of the same things happening to that happened to me the first time I heard that song. The groove is insane and it’s impossible to sit still. Great band and great song.
Wow! This reaction! You are amazing, man. Thank you for all the hard work you must have put into this - killer video! Can't wait to see you reacting to another Dirty Loops song:)
I gotta say... I'm really enjoying your videos. Clean, hilarious editing; the detail windows; your enthusiasm; the way you try to split focus, or at least comment on various instruments or aspects of songs... great work.
Great reaction and one I discovered not too long ago myself. Such near perfection in their ability to merge one anothers clearly amazing musical abilities. The fun, the energy is just amazing. Sublime. Beat that mucical world, I'm listening, this is the new bench mark.

@@MusicShed I definitely trolled you at the beginning of the video, as you definitely were “reacting”. My bad! you warmed up and then hit full tilt hype mode by the middle/end. It was great to see!
Dirty Loops met at a music school in Stockholm , Sweden. Jonah (vocals keyboards) studied classical direction while Henrik (bass) and Aron (drums) studied jazz, improvisation. They began rearranging different songs and upload them to RUclips . Needless to say it went super viral when like everyone in the biz from David Foster to Quincy Jones began singing their praises! First David Foster took them under his wings as their like proteges now they belong to Quincy Jones productions. I follow many musicians on Facebook for example and many said these guys made them believe in the future of the music biz. These guys are NOT from our planet they are uber musical and serious bad asses!!!

Personally I only discovered Dirty Loops two days ago myself and I am already a huge fan. I noticed below someone suggested "Next toYou" it is phenomenal and the vocals go in a direction that have the power of "Bohemian Rhapsody". For sheer musical magic consider Jacob Collier's version of "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough". Just some thoughts but you sir just killed it.
you should check out Rock You by them too! Also, I love watching people discover music they really love and appreciate, glad you love these guys as much as you do!
