You have no idea what this did for me. My best friend lost her battle with depression in 2015. She loved "The Black Parade," and Avenged Sevenfold was one of her favorite bands. Until now, her death still never felt real until I realized I will never be able to share this with her. She would have loved this so much. I was finally able to let go of a pain I've held onto for so long. Thank you.
A7x has such a unique sound that it felt like I was listening to an actual Avenged Sevenfold song but all the lyrics were just wrong. Your ability to imitate vocal styles is incredible. Great cover :)
Lots of layering, harmonies, sweeps, energetic drums often with latin influence and multiple chord progressions to advance the song. Musically their music is some of the more advanced in metal with all the different scales, harmonies and meshed melodies. In a real a7x song I feel like they would have written a progression to make the slow part progress more naturally to the fast part... but yeah.. this is still a great version.
This is pretty cool, and I like that you did this because it was something you really wanted to do. Giving fans what they want is all well and good, but a creator should have the freedom to do something they really want too.
It kinda scares me how well you can sound like so many different artists, especially vocally. You could easily make up a story like the alternate universe Beatles album story and have actual new songs that sound legit, and that is a scary amount of power.

This is really close Matt Shadow's voice, like scary close. Almost as if you played this for an A7X fan, without the disclaimer, and you told them this was A7X, you couldn't hear much of a difference.
The middle schoole inside me just reached a musical climax. This is incredible from the nuances from Matt Shadows in the lead voice, the harmonized clean guitar, Beast in the Harlot-like growl transition and chorus sound, the pinch harmonic breakdown towards the end, like I am just so unbelievably happy right now like Jesus Christ this is a mix of nostalgic and refreshing and it just feels good!

I honestly cannot express how perfect this is as an A7X COE cover. All of the tones, voice, phrasing, nuances are absolutely perfect. If I didnt see the video I would honestly 100% believe it was a7X

(My twin sister and I would sometimes stay up late there listening to music and watching music videos on MusicChoice. Afterlife was a favorite.) Had two cats put down in the coming months after; Grandma died earlier that year; Dad's dad died the year before; Grandpa died the year before that. Plenty of other deaths and losses, but those significant ones all in a row were hard. So I can at least imagine how you feel. Take care.

Hope you're doing as well as you can. Had a similar rough patch. Tomorrow is the 1-year anniversary of my mom's parents' home-the only childhood home I had left-being sold. (My twin sister and I would sometimes stay up late there listening to music and watching music videos on MusicChoice. Afterlife was a favorite.) Had two cats put down in the coming months after; Grandma died earlier that year; Dad's dad died the year before; Grandpa died the year before that. Plenty of other deaths and losses, but those significant ones all in a row were hard. So I can at least imagine how you feel. Take care.
