We live in a dwindling society. We'd rather observe the smoke and mirrors that are put in front of us(social media, news, etc) than go out and experience life the way it was meant to be experienced. We spend too much time worrying about what others are doing, wasting our finite time. We're too engulfed in the mainstream that we forget what we're capable of. Those who could be doctors, lawyers, sevicemen, etc, are turning into influencers because they're fed utter nonsense. This is the age of social media. The chances of you seeing someone of great status are minimal compared to you seeing a video of an ai reading a reddit post with half of the screen being taken up by gameplay of a video game you've never heard of.
Well one argument in his favour, some people like their privacy a LOT. And thus do not want to be globally recognized super celebs because that comes with a lot of downsides to it. E.g they can't go out in public to do normal things without running into fans. Imagine if you had children of your own and you have to plan around crowds of strangers rushing you? Fame can suck.

Yeah! I met him way back in the mid-2000s while training with ST 3 in Coronado. I didn't know he was going to become famous; I would have taken a picture with him and got it autographed.
Forgot to mention that before he started joining navy in 2002 at age 16, his father threatened his mother and him with a gun and wanted to kill the family. Police shot him in the family attic in self defense. This man has been through it all and overcome all odds

it’s all mostly luck and hard work according to Jonny Kim. I may be wrong but in his podcast with Joe Rogan, he became a corpsman as it was the only useful specialisation that was offered when he joined the seal teams and he’s very lucky to have a opportunity to be a sniper early in his career while other seal members waited years. He never intended to go to medical school in the first place until he left the navy and holds a mathematical degree. He holds a promise to his dad/mum where they wanted him to go to Harvard school. He had mental health problems after leaving the military. He gone through medical school unemployed, with a girlfriend and 2 babies at the time. He said he was just a normal person and doesn’t have any gifted talents. He believed it’s all hard work. He became a doctor because he wants to help people He never thought about becoming an astronaut until NASA offered him a selection process to be an astronaut. But he really did achieve things when he actually put his mind on it.

It's an stupid example but Sheldon from Big Bang Theory is such an example. If I'm not wrong there are even studies that show the higher the IQ of an individual the higher the risk of being depressed or "stuck in your head". I think in general the mental "stability" can be lower if your IQ is higher. But then again there are other factors as you mentioned.

I may be wrong but in his podcast with Joe Rogan, he became a corpsman as it was the only useful specialisation that was offered when he joined the seal teams and he’s very lucky to have a opportunity to be a sniper early in his career while other seal members waited years.
He never intended to go to medical school in the first place until he left the navy and holds a mathematical degree. He holds a promise to his dad/mum where they wanted him to go to Harvard school. He had mental health problems after leaving the military. He gone through medical school unemployed, with a girlfriend and 2 babies at the time. He said he was just a normal person and doesn’t have any gifted talents. He believed it’s all hard work. He became a doctor because he wants to help people
He never thought about becoming an astronaut until NASA offered him a selection process to be an astronaut.
But he really did achieve things when he actually put his mind on it.

It's an stupid example but Sheldon from Big Bang Theory is such an example. If I'm not wrong there are even studies that show the higher the IQ of an individual the higher the risk of being depressed or "stuck in your head". I think in general the mental "stability" can be lower if your IQ is higher. But then again there are other factors as you mentioned.
