Is HARD OFF still the place to find the best deals for Japanese Retro Games? Or are there any better stores now? I ended up just buying "Fighting Vipers" for the SEGA Saturn at this store. So many games are gone from this store...
i’d be a lost cause if I visited a hard off, even if you don’t buy much or anything at all, just getting absolutely lost in all the cool stuff you can find is truely magical

Yea, this HARD OFF really dried up. I was really dissapointed to be honest. Theres an older video on the channel of this particular HARD OFF with way more stuff. Thanks man! Next one is much better. I can already promise that.
I've been to this Hard-Off! Back in early 2019, on my way back from the Toyota Automobile Museum, I stopped by this specific Hard-Off. I picked up a Rockman 3 CIB for $15 USD, and a small stack of PS1 JRPGs (such as Final Fantasy VII and VIII) for 100 Yen each. It wasn't the best Hard-Off I've been to, but it was still a fun detour.
Oh cool! And I was there in 2019 as well. Such a different store back then. Way more retro games. And I agree, it was never the best but something obviously happened now. Such a shame. But I guess its to be expected.
We are headed back to Japan this Nov. thanks for sharing this video. Defiantly gonna head there with my kiddos. What is the best HardOff that you recommend? Thank you.

Even though the prices are getting higher than ever, there's always more chances to find something good with a crazy cheap price than in a specialty store

I came expecting an opinion about buying at Hard Off, but found just a video browsing the stock at one location. Also, there's a lot of filler content on game footage instead of a discussion when whether it's still worth to go to a hard of store or go to a used game store.
It's an open question. Up for the viewer to decide. I just show around what's there. And my channel has always been that way. I do game hunting and pickups. And I enjoy doing these videos. But making a video discussing HARD OFFs is a great idea. That would be interesting to do as well.

Hey m8 finally in japan been to a few hard offs and one over 1hr away did have consoles , handhelds. just games are vey low ??? And prices are a little hi but but super potato was out of this world expensive 😫 and not many games as well🤦♂️ few more days 😢 then fly back to uk 😢 i will be back 😊

What was that ps1 game with the guy with blue mask ps1 7:56 ? Rez looks good 5 bucks i hope you grabbed it for the ps2 on ebay cheapest is like 20 cad and 25 Japanese and north American version around 60 cad 😮 funny you show Tales of Eternia i just picked that up and am awaiting for it to arrive at home i grabbed it for the psp since the ps1 is hard to find.
Yea Saturn is so underrated. Yea pronounced in a Swedish way lol Actually japanese pronounciation is kinda close to that too. I didnt figure out that game with the mask actually. I still wanna know what it is. Yea Rez is awesome. I have it. Haha thats crazy xD Yea those JRPGs are cool. I want those games in English so thats why I didnt bother much.

As a veteran retro hunter (and I can say with confidence THE BEST) in Japan, it’s not anymore. The guys are out of their mind, asking Mandarake prices for crap condition.

I found Hard Off had a big range of games and that Book Off had a smaller range but was much cheaper. Great video as usual.
