I honestly quite like the list so far. Very fitting that Cadian is here at 20 when last year, his CIS counterpart was in at 20. Jabbi definitely had a massive falloff over the second half of the year, so he went from a top 10 player to maybe a top 15 for me. Sh1ro, because of Cloud9 not being a Blast partner, didn't get a whole lot of play during the year, and because of Cloud9's passive style emphasizing saving the AWP, his HLTV rating is inflated, at least to me. The one thing that seems strange to me is Stavn. Sure he's definitely been disappointing in the biggest games, but with all the deep runs that Heroic has had this year, I would have thought he was a top 10 player at the very least.
might want to check your eyes if you think sh1ro being outside the top 10 isn't as strange as stavn who has no right to be in the top 10. he's #2 in KPR ahead of all your favorite players -zywoo, #1 for rounds with kills and top 3 for rating vs top 5 opponents behind NiKo and zywoo.

@@kunztgnom on lan, in 2023, jimphat has a 1.12 rating. Not sure where you’re getting your stats from.
It’s a list of top 20 players, as in, how good are you at playing the game. Karrigan is a good igl, which is why he might win igl or the year. Coaches also participate in creating the chemistry you talk about, why didn’t you put zonic or neo in the top 10 then?
Ropz is barely the best cs2 player anymore, Zywoo is probably better. Elige is definitely better than ropz imo. Either way, how tf is ropz nr1 when he wasn’t even top5 in csgo?
ropz over zywoo my goodness get help
@lau Hunter's intro vid is Sunpayus and not hunter
Trying to guess what player is coming up based on their introduction is alot of fun
Love this Video Lau. It's a refreshing sight of things and style.
There's one fault. The first showing of the player is wrong for broky and hunter.
Keep up your nice work!
stavn and jabbi - in my mind all i see is two guy buy the pool singing "i'm an island boy"
I think lau messed up the images of the players for some of them, like 12 and 13
thanks for listing me
Editor at #13?? Rolling #12 clip
It seems all of the clips after 13 are messed up
20. Cadian
19. Elige
18. Xertion
17. Jabbi the stabbi
16. Stavn
15. Shiro
14. Twistzz
13. Broky
12. Hunter
11. Sunpayus
Forgot about Jame bro
That date just looks really good on you.
Is the awp really that much weaker? Id like to see the facts 🤔
I feel like broky could be higher in that list...
Atleast higher than Sunpayus
Going to shoot the gun early and assume I also don't know the last two players. I guessed 1.5 (couldn't decide on the two options from CA) right off your clues. Also sup with the awp? Seems fine to me whenever I decide to use it.
Great video lau, I noticed a small error. When you shower off hunter, the title card was for sunpayus. Then for sunpayus, the same title card. Just wanted to point it out
great vid lau, love the visuals
Electronic and B1t better be here
probably not electronic since 5/6 of the year he was the igl
electronic still has decent stats this year and a chance at top 20 somewhere between 20-18 at the highest. b1t has abysmal stats and he'd be lucky to make top 25/30. particularly his performance in playoffs and big games is horrendous.@@entergamings115
both inconsistent and lacked good runs.
the title cards 13 and after ;(
Launders has officially turned into the Anthony Fantano of cs...
I've got some questions for you on a few of these Mr. Lau or rather the exclusion of a few, though I'm sure you're just saving them for the later...
ok who is missing now?
blameF
device
zywoo
spinx?
monesy
niko?
electronic
s1mple
JL
Bit?
Kcerato
Fl1t?
Donk?
Frozen
Ropz
Jimmphat?
who else?
Broeki intro has mistake you show nr 12 before his gameplay
Since CS GO has been officially discarded, would you make a video on Top 20 CS Player on all Time. I would love to see your view and opinion.
So stoked for this bro
Instead of showing brokys image you showed hunter image. When it became hunters turn it showed sunpayus instead of hunter. You showed sunpayus 2wice
When Top 20 KZ Players list???
its so crazy how broky is 13. There are so many elite players this year
i think you are rushing this a little bit, maybe top-15 is stable already but blast & atlanta might impact the last 2-5 spots on the list
A little error in the animation from 13-11
15:42 Spoilers :C
karrigan needs to be in the top 5 this year. I wouldn't be able to recall a single year in which an igl has had so much impact on making his team successful but also shaping the general meta of the game
The editing is messed up for 13 & 12
I honestly quite like the list so far.
@@B0bB0b1nskiabsolutely. What makes sh1ros placement event more ridiculous is that Laus main argument for said placement is the fact that Sh1ro has no tournament wins and only a small amount of deep tournament runs. However lau will have Kscerato, Blamef and device all above Sh1ro, while said players have even less deep runs than Sh1ro and are missing the tier 1.5/2 tournament wins that Sh1ro had this year. Also s1mple will be above Sh1ro with stats significantly worse and only a bit more deep runs.
EXACTLY. Also frozen/spinx have worse stats and aren't even much better in accolades because each had at least 1 event WIN where they sucked as well as a few subpar deep runs.@@timmodrow437
@@timmodrow437bro twistzz is at 14. Even when cs2 started and faze were winning it was not because of him. He had a shit year and is above shiro. Like wtf. And wth is exertion doing here. And i wont even start about s1mple because missing 1/4 of a year it self should put his subpar performance in the 11-20 at least
@@mariushager9983 yeah I fully agree. But I just wanted to point out how little sense Laus explanation for sh1ros placement (the fact that he had few deep tournament runs) makes when considering that 2-3 people with even worse deep tournament runs will be somewhere in the top 10 (atleast 5 places higher up than Sh1ro) while having worse stats.
Why is Elige being framed as if he wasn't cut from Liquid?
Based Laugoat putting Xertion in his top 20
Still waiting for Broky Week
I need to watch sunpayus more because I didn't realize he was so highly rated. tbh most ence matches I've watched deep in tournaments he doesn't have as much impact as I expected. I guess just undersampling bias tho
Im sad that b1t isnt in the top 20. Wouldve liked to see him 20-15 maybe. Not too far behind twistzz
I personally like the previous intro music more
so we back coach
Kscerato plays league of legends?
It was so scary not seeing Sunpayus on the top, thank god
you started to mess up the intro cards at broky, you played 12 for 13, 11 for 12
xertion is really underrated
Am I tripping or did you say "Hunter at #12" and then it said "Number 11"?
