Nice review. Would love to hear your comparison with this kite and the Ocean Rodeo Aluula Flite 14.5m please. Also, the Aluula Flite seems to be much lighter than their D-Lab counterparts. If you could speak to that as well. Thanks 🙏

Just want to add something which is not mentioned: this kite is absolutely perfect for beginners, because it does not frontstall, regardless how bad you treat the kite. You can run towards the kite, it still stays up. So the stability at 12o clock in very light wind helps beginners who are scared of strong winds. My kids used it to learn to waterstart in 8 knots. For them enough power to not sink down.

I had a chance to test the 13m version a few weeks ago and have to say im in love. I am not really a lightwind person nor very experienced. normaly i only go out if i can ride 12m and have some reserve for the wind dropping later and i am really only happy if i can go 10m or smaller with my Bandits. I also have a 15m Juice from 2016 to compare which i had a frustrating lightwind session just recently because i did not really manage to go upwind.
The new 13m Juice DLAB can probably replace both my 12m as well as my old 15m juice(maybe thats how i sell the price to my wife :-D ). In conditions that i would normaly not consider going out, the DLAB allowed me effortlessly go upwind and its agility allowed me to generate power when needed. If you like and are used to moving your kite to generate power, then this might be a kite for you.
At the same day i also tested a 12m flysurfer soul which got me on the water at similar winds but is of course a totaly different beast (i never flew a softkite before)

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with the 2022 Duotone Juice D/Lab kite! 🤙🏽 It's always great to hear when riders find a kite that suits their needs and preferences, especially when it comes to light wind performance. The Juice D/Lab is designed specifically for riders who want a high-performance kite that can excel in light wind conditions, and it sounds like you were able to experience that firsthand with the 13m version.
It's interesting to hear that the Juice D/Lab allowed you to effortlessly go upwind and generate power when needed, and that its agility and maneuverability were a good fit for your style of riding. The ability to move the kite and generate power is definitely a key aspect of kiteboarding, especially in light wind conditions where efficiency and technique are crucial.
Comparing the Juice D/Lab to the Flysurfer Soul is also interesting, as both kites are designed for light wind performance but have different design and performance characteristics. Soft kites like the Soul offer a unique riding experience and can be a good fit for certain riders and conditions, while inflatable kites like the Juice D/Lab offer a more traditional feel and handling.
Thanks again for sharing your feedback, and if you have any more questions or comments, feel free to ask. Good winds! -Aaron

Excellent video Rygo! Hands down this is the best review for the D-Lab on RUclips (others don't even come close). I bought a 15M Dlab from you guys in early 2022 & have been enjoying it ever since. It's $$ however the guys set me up with a good pkge deal. Anyhow, it's the perfect kite for the light winds of Lake Ontario. Unfortunately, I damaged my kite on rocky/stone beach. No major canopy tears, but ~ 10 areas of micro perforations and canopy chaffing : ( Can I send it into Duotone for some professional repair? In your experience what's the best way to prevent the micro perforations from tearing the canopy? I used some KiteAid clear repair adhesive tape, which is already peeling off.

Thanks so much for the kind words about the review! 🤙🏽Rygo always aims to provide the most comprehensive insights. 😊 So glad to hear you've been loving the D/Lab 15m, especially for those light wind days on Lake Ontario. Sorry to hear about the damage. Micro perforations and canopy chaffing can be tricky. In many cases, a professional kite repair shop like www.airtimekite.com/ should be able to give you advice or help with the repairs. Good winds! -Aaron

What did they update for 2022? I have the Aluula 17m Flite. Best light wind tube kite I’ve ever flown.

What a good and interesting review. I also would like to know what you think are the main differences between the 15m Juice and the 14.5m Flite.
Keep going with your great work !

Just tested the flight again last night. The flight flew more similar to a high aspect so more sweeping and loft. Somewhat powerful and floaty airs. The juice is more dynamic and performance feeling. Sharper might be a good word to describe it. Both are exceptionally light and pack down like a much smaller kite. Both have light bar pressure that increases noticeably when you have solid power. Flight is loftier but has the speed needed for good lightwind jumps. The juice turns better for jumps but doesn’t have the same float. I prefer the loops of the juice. Faster and easier for all the hand drags / darkslide type stuff. It also is better for freestyle imo. But the flight is more forgiving and has hangtime. Hope that helps. - Rygo

You ride in 8-12 knots what I really can imagine as I tried a Dlab Evo 13 m. In 11-15knots BUT exactly is your weight ??

What is your weight for that setup to get that low of knot range Rygo?
I'm trying to decide on a similar setup for my weight at 200lbs.
