I'm gladly im not the only Earthlings here left in the Asia server, they are too many aliens out there who thinks that everyone can speaks their ancient language.
I don't think the Leopard is wrong to state that he's an idiot for pushing down the valley, especially when he's in a situation in which the enemy team won most of the map control. Think it was timing that got them to win the valley unscathed, as typically, artillery will turn that position into a minefield.
Not to mention, that same Leopard done the most damage on the team and was the sole reason why QB had the time to push base, because his position countered all the players in the mid. Should be thanking that Leopard lol
It's a balance though; if you leave the valley empty (QB and S Conq where the only ones willing), then you're flanked. Nearly every battle needs a balanced spread, unless you have severe penetrating speed on one side - and that is rare. Likewise, if all went valley, you're flanked. Balance. What do I know..
I think a significant take-away from this is to be wary of tunnel vision. Some manner of tangible reward for not being an ass could be nice too. :D
@@albopastrami9269 I agree with you on this, I just went into a battle where everyone went valley, I pinged them off because we were against 1-2 arties, and getting splashed (only tier 5, farming credits on my Kv1 because Russia), eventually I got bored, turned around and fought in the city where I did lots of damage, eventually died to an upgraded gun french tier 5 heavy (the one I have is still stock gun, and potato), sadly we lost the game, because we didn't move enough to the city, but if we left the valley open, the same would've happened.
PS: They all stood on the hill in the open like a bunch of muppets, my TD that I helped, died because he wouldn't let me take a shot and blocked my vision (he was also low, should've just let me take a few shots).

That first leopard player was just not worth the time. Holy crap. What an absolute muppet he was. But the Super conq and other leopard that listened to your instructions and did them flawlessly gave me chills! It's *so* refreshing to see some smart, competent players, even when there's some rotten egg on your side :)

But I do have to admit, going valley usually isnt the right play. Especially in clanwars we learned that its suicide. The 60tp is rlly strong there but it doesnt influence the battle a lot when you win the valley and the city push can be devastating if the enemy does that.
And when you win city, it is easy to def the cap
I haven't played WoT for a couple of years, but I remember the valley being extremely swampy. Even if you went there without opposition it was a slow push, while leaving the rest of the map weak. If there was even one tank defending it would usually become a pointless stalemate. I also don't agree with QB about the strength of the position if you win. It's fairly easy to defend from the city.
Yeah, also with the city push you can create a crossfire for those playing in the mid. Plus the city has a lot of cover, because of that it is the most arty safe position too.
If you have a good control in the mid and can bait a heavy enemy lineup to overextend in the city, then push and take the valley fairly easily with 3-4 meds before they have time to rotate back.

@Krytrephex In World of Warships we call this the Flamu/Flambass effect. There's a map called two brothers where it's two side paths and one channel straight down the middle. The problem is pushing the middle any time other than late game means that, because WoWs is a MUCH slower paced game than WoT, the enemy team hasn't fully deployed and they can bring all guns to bear on your, plus it's small enough that you can easily move or juke a Destroyer who yolo rushes you and launches point blank torps.
However, that doesn't stop Flamu or Flambass putting up videos of the 1 in a 100 time the middle push actually works and because their some of WoWs most popular EU contributors, suddenly the number of idiots pushing the middle spikes whenever they post a video because 'They made it work!' when in reality they've probably been trying to get it to work for that ONE video for god knows how many games and, each time but the one you see in the video, they get blown out of the water.

Fun fact - Leo was right. We all know taking your heavies to valley is dumb and 9/10 times it loses games. QB only did that, cause it was semi - safe play and he knew whatever happens, he's likely to retain his chevron. And then tries to depict this as a good play and an example of teamwork. Also, had the Leo not done 4k damage, QB's team would still likely lose the game. Yes, Leo was toxic, yes, valley push eventually won the game, but that was poor and selfish gameplan to stay in the valley in the first place.
Had a great teammate one game. It was me in a T110E5 and a WZ taking the hill on Sand River together. I was decently hull down against 2 or 3 tanks on the second hill up in their faces, however, I got nailed hard by several unspotted tanks at the back of the map. My repair kit had already been used, and I got tracked, so could do nothing else but sit there and watch all of my hitpoints evaporate in seconds.
Then, as I'm down to under 200 hitpoints, one more shell will kill me, the WZ pushes, out in the open, and sits right in front of me, bouncing 3 or 4 shots that otherwise would've killed me. My track finally repaired and I was able to back out to safety. I've swapped out with people on corners before when it made sense, but that was the first time I'd ever seen a teammate go out of their way to meat shield that hard and bounce shots to save a teammate.
Thanks to him, I survived long enough to put out another 2 or 3 shots, turning a terrible loss into one that I at least did some damage in.
However... The rest of the team was pretty trash. We had no support from the middle, and the other flank just started dropping like flies. And then the peanut gallery that already died decided to chime in. Some mouthy douchebag, saw only one tank on the hill by us, as the others relocated, and wouldn't stop berating the WZ for not pushing that one guy. After I finally got killed, I was like... dude, shut the fuck up, he's a better teammate than you will ever be, and we both know more about the situation on the mountain there than you do. There's several tanks waiting at the back unspotted all game, it's literally not the one guy on the corner, pushing is suicide... Shut... the fuck... Up...
Normally I ignore dipshits like that, but in this case, it pissed me off some dude who died in the first 2 minutes thought he had any say in what such a chivalrous player clear on the other side of the map should be doing.
And yeah, I've noticed, the peanut gallery is usually genuinely good players who otherwise have no social skills and treat their own team as the enemy. Yeah, teams suck sometimes. Do what you can with what you got, try to help your teammates, and then exit out. Unless somebody is doing something egregious, it's not worth being a backseat driver or commenting on. Stats aren't everything. As good as your stats are, they'd probably be even better if you weren't such an armchair general dick to people.
Also, yeah, I've noticed one or two tanks in valley on that map is practically a requirement (but no more than that). I noticed this in the M103, it isn't really good at going toe to toe with tier 10s I've noticed, so one game I got that map, I started just going hull down and plugging the valley in the middle. No pushing, just sitting there so they can't take it, or push me without losing a lot of health, while the rest of the team try to take town. Only had like one TD helping me. And it worked beautifully. Rest of the team rofl stomped town because too many of theirs sat in valley, and when the 3 or 4 tanks in valley realized their cap and SPGs were about to be overrun, that's when me and the TD pushed out and got a ton of damage done into their sides and rears as a pincer. I've had a few other wins doing this where we lose valley, but it was a solid delaying action while team takes town, and has time to split up and both defend cap and push theirs.
I was really, honestly hoping that QB was selling platoon w/ voice comms rights for $1 a match.
I really enjoy this kind of video, QuickyBaby. It brings out how you deal with conflict but also really dives into how you're thinking mid game.
I really believe Ranked battles should have been like the Steel Hunter, a battle royal that TRULY tests the skills. Not this 1 vs 29 where 15 you can shoot; and the other 14 to ruin your game.
Yeah, fixed tanks and stats - and make winners take all the points. None of this selfish camping bullshit, but actually rewarding chance-taking and play-making.
@@DisgruntledDoomer I would go far as to say that none should lose the points, the winners gets all, and the losers get none, because losing points is what's getting people on edge in this game.
Not losing points would definitely make the mode feel less frustrating, but at the same time, it would take out much of the skill requirement, too. And since it's supposed to be RANKED gameplay, that's not really an option, IMHO. @@padorupadoru8029

@@DisgruntledDoomer But the problem here, the Ranked really doesn't test the skills of single player because it is a team game, why would you lose points if some of your team don't know how to play the game or vise versa? Some great players are getting punished because of their team not for their lack of skill.

Honestly, I get what the leopard was talking about. If I had a dollar for every time I have seen a third or more of the team go valley, only to get pinned down and it all turn into essentially a lemming train I could get QB to tutor me for a few months at least. You do need a few vehicles at least to hold the valley, but honestly, I think going down the valley is quite wasteful IMHO. Edit. I'll also note that while QB and the Super Conq are pushing the valley, basically the entire rest of QB's team has been pushed back and are having to defend the base on two fronts.
Finally someone who talks back/defends himself in game chat,many people dont especially youtubers,because people will think they are "agressive" and assholes,no they are just annoyed as anyone else would be

All I can say is that I agree with leopard that valley is uselles, you can have 0 tanks there and just let enemy to push it and you can easily defend the cap from positions near city. That simply means that city wins games, had a lot of games where that would happen you just can't cap the base or push through when you get through the valley, you just get stuck if you have any tanks holding the enemy back which is not hard to do when you have bushes and lots of hard cover to use. Personally I'm surprised that qb goes to valley quite often.
There is a well known "game" played on management training courses - a group of people plays a game where if they keep their promises the group collects many points, individually not so much. If they cheat individually they get more points but only if one is cheater and the others keep their promises. The game promotes trust in teams.
One of the interesting observations coming from this is - people from North Europe are more trustworthy than the South Europeans with a counter clockwise twist (think Baltics - Spain axis rather than a parallel).
I can see why QB didn't continue to argue with the Leopard.....he's not the type of guy that would have a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
I mean the leopard is usually right. When you go valley, you typically end up in a standoff where both sides are doing nothing. The city has multiple points of engagement, which really allows a battle. But in this case, he wasn't really right because you still want at least 2 tanks to defend valley. I'm not sure what those 2 tanks should be, but usually I find them being tds, but there were no tds this game. He was wrong, but did play extremely well, and did have a better score than you when you said "I did better than you." In fact, I think he might have even carried the game by stopping that city push with 4k dmg in the first 4 minutes of the game. He was definitely just mad and irrational, but I would've just explained to him that you need some tanks to go valley, and no one else was doing it.
@Krytrephex Well to be fair, the leopard also dismissed QB's point arguably quick as well. If they left the valley open, the enemy team will also push there and flank the city team from both the north and south sides.

The single biggest problem on that map are people camping the valley. Often half the team sit at the end of the valley waiting for an enemy that isn't coming.
Unfortunately that leads to the second biggest problem on that map. The idiots who see that and then infer that the valley is a waste of time and decide that no one should be there at all leaving the valley undefended and getting them outflanked.
Considering there were only two of you at the valley and he wanted both to go to the city, I'd say he was the latter of the two.
I think that QB said in a video, long time ago, that it was stupid to go into the wally on this map.

I’ve been playing WoT since 2013 and I have 0 ranked games and I would like it to stay like that for the foreseeable future. Lot’s of other games’ ranked systems have given me PTSD and now I see WoT is no different XD, this video cemented my opinion

The problem of pushing the valley is, that if there is just one enemy spotting in front, all the others can shoot easily from the back and defend the base much better than if you are coming from the city so I lost many games there my teammates push the valley and just got destroyed while attacking the base.

Not everyone plays and thinks like you in ranked. At least in my games in ranked, when most heavy tanks go valley, we often lose those games. Why?, people don't plan their moves and go valley with the wrong tanks.

I would one up that with an SPG aimed down that valley as well. Actually any SPG worth his or her salt will do that automatically and HP farm that valley, and you can still turn and get the church cortyard in the city if needed. Just ask someone to keep an eye on the lake side road down the middle.

Man this has to be one of your best from being pushed off cliff while in snipe mode to while engaging around a corner being pushed into opening, well that one i spun around n sunk 2 into his ass!! But you are so right and this is all in random battles. Also with all these different missions, campaigns [especially these] you don"t know what or why they are playing that way. ASK them no commadery anymore been playin 7 yrs get called noob just about daily. WOT's created this and the 3 min rush especially late night EST, they should have a one on one mode so the angry birds can put their supposedly superior skills to the test. I had the same thing yesterday, I was playing my EBR 105 on Prok and the leopard 1 was calling me a Noob LT for 15 mins straight while he was camping all the way at the back while I was racking up spot damage, In the end the NOOB LT got 6.8k spot damage :)

@@haferl6980 I don't actually agree with QB about it being a strong flanking position. Granted, i haven't played WoT for a year, so I don't know if the meta has changed, but I never found that it felt especially threatening if the enemy won the valley. It's easy to defend from the south east and city. And going there is a huge risk since you might get stuck in a campy stalemate, and the swampy ground makes it very time consuming both to go there, and to go back. Meanwhile you cannot influence the city or central road.

this is why I turn chat off in my tier IX/X light tanks, it's way worse as so many players feel the need to coach you or attack in chat for not playing the way they want - the best thing you can do is try to win and play well and that's the best revenge
i have said for awhile part of the issue with many of the missions(and also including ranked). They have a bad habit of forcing you to compete against your own teammates. That creates even more toxicity and frustration. Any mission that only rewards say the top 5 all the rewards and punishes the other 10 makes a toxic community even more toxic.
