I think the 2nd guy was missing the entire point of the first. The point was to stop the spool from moving. It was the watering the bowl cause the braided line spools and unspools better if it's wet when you load your reel. Tried to make the other guy look dumb, just to wind up being the only idiot in the room. lol classic
This is why I use braided line on every rod I own. I own my own boats. I bass fish, catch tuna, marlin, sword rich, sharks and much more. Braided line has no memory, you can fit more yardage or line. For example monofilament you may only be able to fit a 180 yards of line depending on your of 15 pound test but braided line for 15 pound test line has the diameter of 8 pounds test line allowing you to fit and extra hundred yards or so. Braided line doesn't dry out like mono and other line like it. Yes braided line cam fray.but that after alot of uses and only frays depending on if your casting your dropping your bait in the water. Plus we all know nothing cast farther or smoother than braided line. And if I have to youse mono for some odd reason I just use it like a leader, maybe two feet of mono with a uni to uni splice knot connect the two lines. And if I'm fishing with fish with sharp teeth I'll use steal leaders. I have I rod that 300 pound braid that hold a little over 500 yards on it. And the color of the braid changes every 50 yards allowing me to know how much lone I have left in the water. When I bass fish I use 15 pound dark green braid and can fit around 300 yards give or take depending on my reel and reel type. But that one thing I love about braided line it it doesn't heat up as easy as mono does. How ever there are benefits to mono, for example braided line does not like sharp edges. If you fishing or a pier and that fish swims against a pipeline that has muscles on it it will snap like thread. Mono is alot for forgiving when it comes to abrasion. Braided line also has less stretch allowing for a better hook set, it's more sensitive allowing for you to feel the slightest hits on you bait. One last draw back of braided line is unless you reel has a hole to tie your line to it before you start to spool up your reel, use have to attach approximately 2-5 feet of mono to the reel first the splice the mono and braided line together, once you have done that then you can spool up your reel. If you don't use mono.first on a reel that has an eye for you to tie you line to, then when you go to set your hook or you catch a big fish the braided line will just spin around the reel like your drag is loose when really the braided like just doesnt have enough friction to keep the spool of line on place. If your a real fisherman then you will understand all the things I'm saying here. But remember this is just my preference when I like tomset up my rod, always braid. But I know ppl that swear by monofilament, and other lines like it. And yes I have tested every line of the market they just don't work as well for me as braided line does. Especially when bass fishing. I can cast three time a far as my friends that use monofilament, or fluorocarbon even if we are all using the same rod and reel set up and bait. Only difference is line preference and braided line just cast farther every time. One thing I hate about braided line on bait casters while bass fishing is because I don't use the spool tensioner (you know the thing that you adjust to help keep you from getting backlashes) no matter if my bait is heavy or light my tensioner is set on 0. So this means Everytime I cast im completely controlling the cast with my thumb and let me tell you. That spool can get fire hot on you thumb when that thing is spinning at full speed. This doesn't happen to me with fluorocarbon monofilament. Bottom line is, use what make you happy, use what catches you fish, use what you like. Because the bottom line is to have fun after all isn't it?
@@userfufuthey been saying this for a while now. Nothing yet but let me know when you start hearing voices and I’ll have some professional help come and collect you
Make sure the line is oriented on the reel the same way it was on the spool, otherwise it will twist. You can hold the spool on a pencil held with your feet so that you can get the right tension on the line when putting it on the reel.

@@azamaziz7139 i believe they're implying that the way the line comes off the spool and onto the reel will cause twists if not unspooled correctly. Its been a while since ive spooled a reel but it does make a difference depending on the direction your reel spins/spools.

All yah gotta do is look at how the line naturally unravels from the spool and reverse it so the line is reeled up in the same natural fashion. Good rule is spinning reels lay the line flat like you see here. Bait caster keep it inline on a pencil.
All you need is a bowl. Sit down in a chair, have the bowl sat out about 4ft.( I use a curved rounded edge plastic bowl but probably will work with any) Line through the first rod eye and start reeling. I think it’s so funny when people share these kind of videos and they’re putting line on a bait caster. You want your line to look exactly the same way it’s going on as it comes off of that School you want that to be rolling just like your spool is when you’re spooling now when you do a open face reel where you have to open the bail yes, you can leave it laying on the ground because when it uncoils, it’s gonna coil back on your reel the same way y’all people are doing this the wrong way and you’re wondering why you’re getting a lot of backlashes or your line gets stuck or just won’t cast right because you’re not spooning it right

It doesnt matter how you do it as long as its tight enough that a large fish doesnt cut it into the spool. The only time you need water is for braid and tying knots.
