Just for your own information, I spent 300 € more to get this one instead the original one in my Clio. But keep it for you. There only are four or five remaining in the world. Just in case you are interested.
The sweet, addictive sound of high tech power and ultimate precision...I don't know why I keep watching this marvel over and over again! Addictive for the ones who realize the engineering achievement reached in the fabrication of these engines......
To show you an example of how amazing this thing is, I shall do a comparison! With my beloved weekend car, my modded, 2007 E420 CDI Mercedes. The RS25 Renault F1 engine is a 3.0L, naturally aspirated V10 and it makes 900hp and can rev up to almost 20000rpm! My prized garage princess has a Stage 1, modded 4.0L, twin-turbo V8 and makes 400hp and it redlines at 4500rpm, or about the same speed as this F1 engine's idle! That's how awesome the old F1 V10s were, God I miss those.
The injector BEFORE the inlet, preduces a way better mixture. It's all about getting the right mixture for that perfect combustion. Normal cars, use injector, inside the manifold, close to the cylinders.
Amazing these things don't blow them selves to peices, the shere power of them. It says alot about the build quality and the people behind putting them together!
Those are full throttle enrichment injectors, only used when at WOT, that way the port injectors can be much smaller and so more stable/efficient at low rpm/idle speeds.
What? 1995 - 2005 F1 V10 - 3.0L ranged in power from 850hp to 1,000 hp. Without a turbo. Learn to read and comprehend something before you post dumb shit, you dumb shit.
@jamsstar2010 you are correct. The injectors that are shown in the video are the secondary injectors and they only supply fuel past a certain RPM because the primaries can't supply the amount of fuel the engine requires at the higher RPM's. Any high revving engine will normally have secondary injectors including most Super Sport Motorcycles.
i do think that having such substantial horsepower in such a light car is crazy, but I also like to see racing where its a combination of man and machine. giving these cars a ridiculously high horsepower is what separates the men from the boys
The 8s were nothing to sneeze at,but the10s were my favorite.don't get me wrong the 12s were special the sound was amazing but for me the email of the 10s combined with their grunt made a glorious symphony

dont you jus love the sound of an F1 engine? Certainly one of the most heavenly sounds ever! Well, a mate of mine who works with Renault had a ringtone of the Renault F1 car going round Monaco & shared it with me. Loved it as it was 1 ringtone i cld still hear while walking around town. Sadly i couldnt use it as my default tone cos the office girls just hated it everytime my phone rang. Noise pollution they tell me. Ah well, what do they know??
the current V6 hybrid turbos maybe technologically advanced and a lot faster but nothing beats the sound of a really loud reving engine of those eras...
The maximum air that enters the engines is entirely determined by the volumetric efficiency of the engine at one atmosphere. The power is regulated by a typical butterfly valve located at the base of each of the 10 intake trumpets that controls the intake mix. Lambda or fuelair ratio is controlled by the ECM computer that adjusts the amount fuel that is released from the fuel injectors you see located above the 10 trumpetsThe basic principles you see here are electronic fuel injection
@donperry1 It is. To get the best out of the car they put the fuel injectors outside of the engine intake so the fuel can atomise properly and not form into droplets like most cars these days. It also gives more volumetric efficiency to the best part of about 95-100%
@Slashbag69 They can get rid of the pneumatic valve assembly, switch to a piston with a taller crown, and cut the rev limit to 10-12K. Using parts with more slack will make the engine just as reliable as any other car.
@mickeywantstostab the top part of the V8 where the intakes are. they have the fuel injectors outside because the rules state they cant use and machines to cool the gas so the have the fuel expose on top so they can get it as cool as possible.
Amazing, and this engine is only an early 90's spec, imagine what the current F1 engine look like on the Dyno. Would also like to see an engine with the hot blown diffuser engine setting on a dyno.
@@anonymousplanetfambly4598 I wonder if there were similar comments made back in the day when trains transitioned from steam to diesel and then electric models, I'm sure there were dinosaurs like us arguing that the former couldn't be matched for it's intricacies and it's imposing presence but in time they became acceptable. Why are there only about 3 videos of these glorious engines on the entire internet?

The engine type is a V10, because the sound frequency is slightly simillar than the V12 used between end '80s and mid '90s.
Motores que nunca más volverán a sonar en la F1 y hoy son solo nostalgia sellando una vez más que "tiempo pasado fue mejor".
