man, that intro had everything! superheroes, monsters, aliens, spaceships, a kid back then watching this must have been ready to loose his or her mind before the episode even started.
Ya it was a great intro, some of my favorite intros also included Battle of the Planets, Thundar the Barbarian, Silver Hawks, Voltron, Thundercats, & the Buck Rogers intro song (though that was a tv show i watched as a kid not a cartoon). Its really sad looking at the state of cartoons today.
Craig Smith I feel sorry for these kids growing up now without ABC, CBS and NBC Saturday morning cartoons Those were the days HannaBarbera, Warner Bros, Marvel Studios, Harveytoons-oh man......
John Harris Yea you are so right.I to grew watching saturday mornings.Back then you had hannabatbra, filmstion, rubbyspears and ranklinbass doing cartoon specials. And you also had warner brothers cartoons, mgm cartoons. We had it so dang good back then.
Those creatures in the beginning belong to Spider Woman or as she was known in the show as the Black Widow ( no relation to Marvel's Russian Spy Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow) . The creatures were called Terranadons or Terrapods ( as I recall) and their antennae shot out Spider webs. The Black Widow ( aka Spider Woman , again NO relationship to Marvel characters) also used deadly seeds which instantly sprouted into spiny hungry plants as well as a 3 headed Shark and a Manta Ray which could shoot out energy Rays. against Space Ghost These alien Spider creatures here got stopped in 2 ways one by a kidnapped alien that freed himself and vaporized the creature with a ray gun. The other when it attacked Space Ghost he killed or permanently immobilized it with his freeze force. Yes, being age 10 in 1966 or 11 in 1967 as I was, watching these episodes as a Girl who adored Super Heroes was simply pulse pounding and terrific!
@@pmccoy5511 Wow, thanks for all the info! I don’t think I would’ve figured that out on my own. Funny enough, I skimmed through the retro spider man episode list, but still couldn’t really find that one with black widow lol. 😝 The show is still entertaining nowadays, but it must’ve been such a novel experience back then. Although the stories of seeing a hero/heroes save the day will always be ingrained in the human psyche, because we love to see when things work out and when good wins!
WELL? Where are the episodes that go with the battle cry?? I tell you why. POLITICS!!! The DVD can be ordered by way of Walmart for about $25 or a little less.
The combination of cool artwork, music and sound effects make this so DAMN enjoyable!!!
Yep; this and the Herculoids were my two favorites. What's not to like about a guy who flies thru space invisible?

Was there actually an episode with those Ant creatures that shoot laser beams? Looking back at the episodes I can't find it.
Justin G, I remember a reference to that scene in cartoon planet. I think space ghost says something like “fighting a 50 foot ant changes a man”.
